Every single time I order it, I tell myself, "Okay, I'll just eat half." And every single time I fail because somehow the combination of their soft toasted bun, smoky tri-tip, salsa, and just the right amount of messiness makes you question why other sandwich places even exist. What really makes this place special though is that it still feels like an actual neighborhood butcher/deli. Hayley, the owner, is often behind the counter and genuinely knows the names and faces of regulars because there are THAT many repeat customers. They're also one of the best places around for holiday meats. Pro tip: order early for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Another great tip I got from one of their butchers was to pick your order up two days before you need it instead of fighting the crowds the day before. They've already allocated your order, so it's the exact same quality -- but way less stress and waiting. And honestly? Their holiday sides deserve their own review. When the red skin mashed potatoes come out for the holidays, I genuinely wonder why anyone makes mashed potatoes from scratch anymore. And the gravy? Dangerous. I literally order extra every year and freeze it in portions because it's too good to only eat once during the holidays.

Check out the freezer section; we buy our Italian sausage, lamb, various sausage packages, oh....quart of soups made fresh daily. Great quality bacon also. Fish selection is very good too but depends on seasonal. Ham hocks for your crockpot split pea soups. We make that and others. Sandwich selection made fresh to your taste. Local bread sold on shelf just as you enter. Christmas time they offer a seasoned prime rib. Pick the size. Quite a few sold each year. It's the best we've ever had. This is where we purchase all our meat. Quality meat will make your pastas and lasagna a five star. I'm a boomer 5 star chef!! Three year customer here.

I have been to a lot of candy stores in our valley but just a shop that focuses on chocolate, a total different vibe! I made my way to the Chocolat Bar today. The perfect shop to help with my sweet tooth. I remember getting some chocolates as a gift but it was nice to be able to make my way into the store. The venue is so stunning. Beautiful displays of hot cocoa containers, chocolate bars and gift boxes of chocolates. Bright display cases of beautifully made chocolates and truffles. Everything looked divine! As much as I wanted to buy a whole pound of chocolates, I knew I couldn't polish off a whole pound by myself. My husband loves chocolate but isn't into anything fancy. I know he wasn't going to help me with a the chocolates I would have picked out. So, I opted to grab a small box of assorted chocolates. The little box I grabbed was simple and delicate. I love the little blue bow on the box. It was just the right amount of goodies for me. And since it's a variety, I get to try a little of everything. I appreciate that they have a list of what was going to be in the box. You get a nice mix of dark and milk chocolate. I'm not going to lie, I opened up that box and had 2 pieces of the dark chocolates drops. No guilt polishing off 2 pieces of chocolate right away. Later I had a milk chocolate drop with cashews I believe and I'm in love. I recall the chocolates I had in the past were fabulous but the chocolates I got today were delicious! And I plan on not sharing the rest of the box with anyone in my house. I was hesitant at the store purchasing a whole pound of chocolate but after eating 3 pieces of it today, I think I'm going to have to grab a pound the next time I come in. I know I'll have to pace myself with that many sweets but it'll be so worth every penny! Happy I stopped in for a treat today. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I got to support a local business. After reading a couple reviews, the coffee and Gelato are a must here too, a must have on my next visit. The store is so pretty and bright. The chocolates here are fantastic. I can't wait to come back soon for some Valentines day treats.

Do not skip the coffee because they do it right, and it pairs perfectly with whatever sweets you pick. Service is always friendly and personal, which adds to the charm. Whether you love milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or truffles, the selection is deep and everything is top quality. My personal favorites are the barks, especially the mixed nut, cocoa, and cherry. I have yet to find a bad one. The best way to enjoy it is to grab a selection, order a coffee, and sink into one of their comfortable chairs for a little break. Just be warned, you will walk out with a bag of chocolate that somehow ends up around forty dollars. Worth every penny.

My wife can be a little picky about trying new spots, so I was hopeful she'd like it -- and thankfully, we were both pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Papa Torta, and it was incredible. I usually skip tortas because they tend to be all lettuce and no meat, but this one was packed with meat, flavor, and freshness. Easily one of the best I've had in a long time! My wife ordered the veggie burrito and fries, and she loved it -- finished every bite and gave it two thumbs up. We're both originally from California, and it's been tough finding those authentic flavors we've missed since moving. This little spot really brought us back to that familiar, homemade taste we've been craving. If you're looking for something different, delicious, and authentically Mexican, give this place a try -- you won't be disappointed!

Not much standing or waiting room and the dining area is very small, so there were no seats. It took 15 minutes to order and another 15 to get me food. So not a quick lunch. Of course, have to start off with the street tacos. For $3.75 a pop, I was hoping for a little better to be honest. Al pastor and Carne Asada meats were both tough and chewy. The best one was the marinated chicken. Good, but not great. There are some other items I might try to round out a fuller opinion, but street tacos are my baseline for assessing how they manage the fundamentals.

I genuinely have no idea how they produce so many baked goods out of such a tiny space. There's really no place to sit, so I think of this more as a pick-up-and-go Italian bakery rather than a café. They also do homemade cannolis (the pistachio and chocolate are both good), although my husband still gives the edge to Tony Cannoli's at Caffè Sorrento. I heard I completely missed out on their focaccia the day I went, which apparently is a mistake I need to correct immediately. I did try the croissants though, and honestly it's hard to find a truly good croissant around here without driving all the way to Janjou Pâtisserie -- and that place absolutely ruins you for croissants forever. One other thing worth noting: check their hours before you go because they're only open Thursday-Saturday. It's also a great little spot to grab packaged cookies or treats for gifts.

We arrived about 10-15 minutes after they opened, which is at 9:00 am. Due to all the fires and the air quality index being 154, there were not as many vendors (I was told by a vendor that Meridian actually cancelled their Saturday market, due to the air quality issues). Still, there were enough to make it worthwhile, and we purchase salsa from two different vendors, some Huckleberry jam, some lavender, and my wife bought some earrings. I agree with other reviewers: the prices seem high for some items, for example, the jam I bought was $15 for one jar and the honey is $18 for a larger bear, $10 for a smaller one. The salsa was more reasonable, though I paid $9 for a 16 oz container. There seems to be ample parking and the vendors we interacted with were very nice and personable. I also would like to see more local produce stands, though the one I did see was, again, expensive. The produce stand on the south side of the 44 going west toward Linder is much more reasonable and they have a lot of selection. Still, we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back.
