The sense of welcome and quality of service here is exceptional. This Eagle store has been at this site for a number of years, I think, and sibling to a Boise location. I don't know which location opened first but Customedica has been operating in the area for more than 20 years. My discovery of it was in 2021 when as if the pandemic times weren't challenging enough, I developed an auto immune disorder that requires treatment in flare ups with a compounded medication and the MD who wrote the script suggested I go here to fill it. (If there is a silver lining in every difficult thing, the disease made it very difficult for me to eat in the months needed to have it diagnosed and it sure was fun to eat the six pounds back on when I could do that again. :-) ) "Knock on wood", I've only needed refill of that med a couple of times since but when I do the pharmacy does a great job of filling it for me. They also provide flu shots and I chose them as first option for that last year. And they also fill standard, non compound, prescriptions. They accept insurance, including Medicare I am told, but although I have great insurance coverage, none of it pays for compounded medications. The store has a really nice selection of greeting cards, high end dermatology skin care, and gifts like lovely soap, candles and also things made by local providers. If you are a consumer who embraces the whole being concept of wellness, you'll find good quality brand supplements here too and also, I think, some consulting on what might work best for those along with other wellness lifestyle advice. PARKING: Private lot but like many lots in Eagle this one is tight and can be tricky entering and exiting. ACCESSIBILITY: ADA parking spot near door, ample floor space inside for access.

The website said they had them, on aisle 48. So, I drove from my home in Star to this location. First of all, I don't think they have an aisle 48. I looked all over, and I found aisle 47 and aisle 49, but no 48. The drain cleaning products I did find were on aisle 18, and they did not have any Green Gobbler sticks. So, a wasted trip. The website said they were in stock at this location, and I could order them online and pick them up. I don't know where they would be located in the store, but I'm not coming back. Otherwise, the store is big and is kind of like a Wal-Mart or Target.

Generally speaking, i like Fred Meyer stores & I'm sure this location is just fine for your…read moreshopping needs which is why I'm not giving one star, but my recent experience as a salvation army bell ringer here wasn't the most positive. Salvation Army will always have my support. I donate toys during the holiday season every year and this year I've also been showing my support as a Bell ringer. I've really enjoyed it, I want to do this every year & it's nice to see that people have been quite generous with their donations to the kettle. I just wish some of the store's employees were better informed about the protocols with Salvation Army kettles. When I began doing this I had no issues & I was told when hired at my shift time i were to go to the store's customer service desk to retrieve the kettle with stand & then place it wherever side I was told my spot would be for the day, do my assigned shift & then drop the kettle off back at customer service or wherever their designated safe spot in the store would be which to me was pretty common sense. In the state I lived in before, you'd hear about bell ringers just walking off wheather on a break or just having been done for the day & leaving the kettle full of money in plain view & some shady person coming by to take it, breaking into it to steal all the $$- it's not something that'll happen everywhere or all the time but it's something that needs to be kept in mind because sadly it does happen. When I took on the role of a bell ringer I made a vow to be responsible & not let anything happen to the donations to guarantee they will go to the families that need assistance the most during the holiday season.. i commend Walmart stores because they seem to know how it all works, there were no issues there & the process went alot smoother for me. At this Fred Meyer location though, they seem to be clueless or maybe just careless in regards to the charity's donations. I recently did a shift here & when I went to the customer service desk they had no idea where the kettles even were at first... they called others for assistance and then I found out from someone they just left the kettle & stand out by the door on the other side of the store from the last person who did it there before me which had to have been at least the day prior as I did this shift in the morning. I didn't find that to be a smart decision to leave it in that spot ..as I've mentioned before sometimes people have bad intentions but I didn't make a fuss about it and went over & began my shift which was overall great. The kettle had a little $ in it from the day before but didn't seem like much though & by the end of a 2 hour shift bell ringing, I got it filled to the top & many of the donations were whole dollar bills, very little coins.. I had generous donors! I wore a Christmas tree hat & played Christmas music so maybe that helped to spread a little more cheer & generosity! Anyways, fast forward to the end of my shift, I hauled the entire stand & kettle over to customer service & I let them know I was done for the day & that the kettle was completely full & I asked where is their designated spot they would like me to put it... the same customer service employee I dealt with just 2 hours earlier was also clueless about that & again had to call multiple people including supervisors. They came to the desk &told me that they will not be held responsible for the kettles so I can just leave it where I was bell ringing or someone would need to swing by to pick it up. That was not at all what was told to me when hired by a temp agency & it was also different than what I experienced with Walmart just the week prior. I had an important dr appt to get to after my shift 20 minutes away. I tried my best to get a hold of the temp agency who hired me but they didn't respond for a little while & I did not trust just leaving the kettle with the employees at this store... it seemed like they wouldn't care at all if the money was stolen. I mean I know it's not their money but if I had a wonderful charity like salvation army partnering with my store, I'd help protect the donations & not treat them like an after thought! I wasn't about to miss my dr appointment because I needed to be seen immediately in order for my dr to refill my BP meds so since I couldn't get ahold of anyone right away & the employees of this store dismissed me... I know it sounds crazy but i took the whole stand & kettle, loaded it into my car which I'm surprised I actually got it to fit without causing any damage to either, luckily as i was driving off I finally got communication from the agency ..they wanted me to just bring it back into the store at first & try to tuck it into a corner but then let me know if i could drop it off at their office so I delivered it to them for salvation army to retrieve it & went to my dr appt with BP through the roof from all the frustration with this particular Fred Meyer.

Understaffing, mismanagement, crisis, alternate reality? It's unclear what could create such a longterm and catastrophic dysfunction. Orders are never available when promised, resulting in multiple in-person trips. You can't call ahead to check if an order is ready because they don't answer the phone. They don't update the online system timely either. Perhaps due to the location, many of the clientele appear to be experiencing challenges. Lots of severely ill individuals coughing, pacing, and hovering inches from nearby patrons, waiting anxiously for medications. There are spacing stickers on the floor. But they're not enforced or observed. Someone in line requested substance addiction-related medications and was told it will take two weeks to fill the prescription at this pharmacy, resulting in a scene with lots of foul language. TWO WEEKS for what is apparently a critical time sensitive medication. As for me, when I left, the line was 20+. Waited for over 25 minutes and walked out without my order because they claim they didn't receive the order, despite confirming with my doctor's office on the way to the pharmacy. Time to switch pharmacies! Trust me, no matter how convenient this pharmacy is as far as location, you will still come out behind due to multiple trips and long waits and people coughing on the back of your neck. I have some sympathy for the employees who staff this pharmacy and have to deal with a constant flow of disgruntled desperate clients.

Ya know what's weird? As long as I've lived in Boise I had never been to this store. There's a Rite…read moreAid and a Walgreens within walking distance to my house. So I would just drive by this location on my way downtown and admire the amazing architecture. I'm a sucker for old buildings, basically anything that has some kind of nostalgia to it, I absolutely LOVE. I wish I would have gone in here tho before they remodeled it. I would have preferred it stay the original way because it's always fun to step into a time capsule. You still kind of do regardless because this building has been there for a min lol. You walk in and for me, was immediately surprised to see a store that had the "open concept" that everyone is so UNBELIEVABLY obsessed with when it comes to their homes. Honestly, the open concept is not creative, unoriginal, has HGTV written all over it and I wish people would just come up with their own ideas for their homes/businesses vs seeing some tacky trend they see on HGTV. That being said, I don't really tie all that in with this store. I mean, I'm sure the open concept trend definitely influenced their decision to do this store like that. This store is still great tho, don't get me wrong. I love it. It's one place that gets a pass for open concept lol. THANK GOD tho they didn't do everything in gray and white hahaha! If they did, I'd probably skip writing a review for this place. I haaaaaaate the gray and white trend. Stop it already!!! Hahahaha! This store is very spread out, very airy, you don't feel boxed in at all when walking the aisle's. They are wide enough to where a few people can be in them and you wouldn't get all claustrophobic. I have serious issues with claustrophobia. I pass out at concerts if there are too many people boxing me in lol. First time was 1995 at a Green Day concert. First time I felt claustrophobic and BAM! I was out! They thought I was on drugs and was about to kick me out lol. Anyway! Way off topic! I tend to do that tho. Nothing new. The layout is interesting. You walk in and all the makeup, basic necessities type stuff is right up front and the grocery stuff is in the back. I assume the makeup and stuff is up front because this store is located downtown area and theft is probably an issue. Prices are high here. Then again, they are pretty much everywhere. However, $2.29!!! TWO DOLLARS AND TWENTY. NINE. CENTS! for a thing of Tic Tacs!! HELL. NOOOOO! That is unbelievably INSANE! Some embarrassing truth here lol. Neutrogena had these exfoliating pad things. They're impossible to find. I checked their website, sold out, but the locator said this store had them. So I thought I'd surprise my roommate and get them. I was downtown for a fitness class and decided to FINALLY go in here. If I'm being honest too, these exfoliating pad things I wanted for myself, too because they're amazing lol. Locator said this store had them. I probably should have gone that day but waited until the day of the class, like a day or two. Of course, they weren't there. Tbh too, I didn't even see a tag for them. Made me sad. Now I'm just stuck mobbing around looking like an old alcoholic bag lady because I can't buff out my old ass face (Siiiiiigggghhh) hahahahaha! I don't look THAT bad tho haha! If anything, this store and it's history is what does it for me. I love it. I hope we always have it here in Boise. I think back in the day it was a Safeway? Anyone know for sure? Because we ain't got sh__t for Safeways in Boise now lol. Didn't really interact with employees. There were a few there but they have quite a few self-checkouts. Love or hate those things, they're convenient as hell. This stores are newer and super easy to use especially if people are buying food. That seems to be a complaint for most with self-checkouts. If they aren't your thing, walk your happy a__ over to a human cashier haha! That's all! Great store! Great vibe there even later at night :) Thanks, Yelperiteraiders!!! Cheers!

About…read moretwelve years ago, I was diagnosed with extremely high blood pressure, My doctor labeled me as a ticking time bomb. I was that that time, an extreme foodie, eating my way through Boise and ordering Camembert and Bleu cheeses from France. I knew I had to lose weight and exercise but it's hard to be consistent day in and day. out. More than anything it's a mental game. Long story short, I changed my lifestyle and became a vegan and started to exercise regularly and I am no longer dependent on prescriptions. The rest of troops do need prescriptions for a variety of reasons and it's super critical to have a friendly and understanding pharmacy. Our first pharmacy was at the Rosauer's location when they were opened. We knew Stacy, Jon, the Steve. They were awesome but when Rosauer's left, we tried several locations including Walmart. What a disaster! Wrong meds sent, wrong meds given to us, long wait times, and overall just poor service. When my wife got a job offer to join Albertsons on Eagle and McMillan, it was completely practical to have all of prescription needs filled by the Sav-On team inside the Albertsons. We have consistently been regulars ever since and even though my wife is no longer there at Albertsons. The team is currently being led by Ryan and he's doing a super job with the the craziness that has happened over the last two years. His staff have always treated me with respect and courtesy. One particular gent always stops what he's doing, looks up and greet's me, "What's up Friday, Good to see you again". It's looks Cheers for prescriptions. The rest of team has stayed consistent which means something these days. Most of the time, employees don't stay long and in the pharmacy world, there's always a need for more tachs and more managers. I can't say whether or not that's a good thing per se, but as long as my wife and kids need their meds to function on a daily basis, I am thankful to have Ryan and team greet me and take care of my family.
