Spudelicious ! Wow. There was a lot of hype about Spud Daddy on the socials and the last time we had a baked potato bar experience was in Istanbul near the Galata Tower in 23. I did send a DM asking about vegan options but didnt get a response so before leaving the house, I brought some vegan butter from Trader Joe's and some Violife shredded cheese in my own containers. The team was all smiles when we entered. They were all very helpful and explained the process. You get a HUGE Idaho Baker Potato and the "Potato Girl" expertly opens it up and mashes the inside. You get to choose between Butter Garlic butter Olive oil Plain. I went plain but i would probably go with the Olive oil to help with the softness Then you choose your toppings. Cheeses, meats, sauces, and veggies. Think of it as "Chipotle" style choosing. Your potato gets transferred to the next team member who handles the cheeses and meats. I politely skipped and was then transferred to the veggie topping team member. I added them all. Onions Tomatoes Jalapenos Salsa Plus a couple more The Chimichurri - house made - was a suspect for me but i asked for it on the side. Then you get to the cashier. You're afforded extra pepper and salt packets for taste. The dining area is nice. You can see the owner / chef working making additional toppings. Kudos to him. Within about 30 mins, there was a line of folks waiting to order. The team for a new restaurant handled the rush with ease unlike another new restaurant that specializes in chicken. Lets circle back to the Chimichurri sauce Excellent and bravo. Don't skip it when offered. Its outstanding. To the Spud Daddy team, I am more than willing to help create a Vegan Baked Potato option for your vegan customers. Send me a DM. Spud Daddy is a welcomed addition to the area and make sure to visit them and have yourself a Spudelicious time

Garlic butter, cheese, salt n pepper, Parmesan sauce, bacon, green onions and potato chips.

This is a nice addition in the downtown Boise area. Will definitely be coming back. The only issue was the bacon was not crispy. I honestly felt they pulled the bacon before the timer was down due to the shop was busy and bacon is of high demand.

YUMM YUMM! Spud Daddy is a gem. What's better in Idaho, or anywhere, than an Idaho potato version of Chipotle?! I'll tell you what... nothing! It's in a great location although parking can be difficult. Staff is friendly and helpful. Toppings are first rate and the place is spotless. There is even a potato gift shop. Stop by for a spud and you will return often.

You've got to have Idaho potato when you are in Boise, Idaho. It was delish - potato was fluffy and all the toppings were yum! Staff was very helpful and friendly too.

Garlic butter, ham, shredded cheese, salsa and crushed chips.

So many different toppings to choose from but I finally settled on the garlic butter, cheese, the parmesan cheese sauce, roast beef and gravy as well as onions, mushrooms and sour cream.

We arrived 5 minutes early and were seated right away which was nice. Our server was very sweet and attentive but that's about all the good things we can offer for the experience. The tables were cramped in the space, the noise inside was so loud and the atmosphere was uncomfortable. We overheard the conversations of diners two tables away from us and didn't feel like we could really talk with each other due to that. We ordered cocktails, focaccia, entrees and dessert. The focaccia was ok but not memorable and our drinks took awhile to arrive. When they did, they were ok but not great (too much ice, almost tasteless). Our entrees arrived and I was surprised to receive only 6 clams with my fettuccini. Seemed a bit sparse for the upcharge. I think shrimp would have been a better match or mussels and more of them. (From the photos I see online, the dish should come with more clams). The pasta was fresh but bland and unexciting. My partner had the bucatini carbonara and said it was similarly bland and the meat was overcooked to the point he didn't even finish it. We were excited for the tiramisu as well since it's a dish we love. What we received was very lackluster, near tasteless and scant in both presentation and portion. We honestly feel that TJs frozen tiramisu is better than the one we had that night. Overall, we expected much more. It wasn't terrible but truly disappointing. We won't be back as there are many better options in Boise for foodies to enjoy.
