I reviewed Panteras Market #2 before, but after coming back many more times, I felt it deserved an updated review. The food here is outstanding! Every meal I've had has been fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether you're stopping in for a quick lunch or picking up dinner, it's hard to go wrong. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the quality keeps me coming back. If you're in the area and haven't tried Panteras Market #2 yet, you're missing one of the local hidden gems. It's easy to overlook from the outside, but the food speaks for itself. I'll definitely keep coming back, and I highly recommend giving it a try. In full transparency, I think they're putting crack in the tacos.. Nothing should taste that good lol. read more

They lie about times. The grill was closed at 8:00 and store at 8:30. The register lady told me it has always been that way! Liar, look at the times posted on your site. The buche and cessina here were pretty good! I was searching for tacos near Boise that match LA/SD level tacos and failed. However, Pantera is on par with the spots around the South Bay in California. The buche was cooked perfectly and the cessina was really flavorful. Pantera is much better than a lot of the other local taco spots and I definitely suggest coming here for good food in Boise. read more

A handful of really bad reviews almost changed my mind, but the good reviews peaked my interest. I love authentic Mexican style food and this place delivered. Legit market with amazing food. We bought all the fixings for proper tacos at home and the arrachera was amazing. Great flavor. We also Reid the tacos after seeing them. WOW!!! These are legit and will be a regular stop for us. On top of all that, the staff was great. Super friendly and very helpful. Great job!!!! read more

Just left this store after purchasing some meat to make dinner at home. Normally, we order take out service. The prices they charged us at the register didn't add up to what they advertised. They definitely overcharged us on purpose and the woman worker was rude. Also, the flies throughout the store and all over the meat is just Never again! So nasty read more

Some of the best around. I've tried several things on the menu including their soups and everything has been authentic and great. I recommend trying the tacos jaliscos. Very tender meat. Weekends they make all their soups including Menudo, Birria and Caldo de Res. P.S. don't be fooled if there is a long line. The grocery and restaurant use the same register so sometimes it looks like there is a long line but it goes pretty quick, not everyone is there for the restaurant part. They have a Mexican grocery store as well as Carniceria where you can purchase meats. read more

Authentic Mexican food and market. Nothing fancy about this place, as it should be. We were told their marinated meat is done in house, as is their chorizo. The butcher even gave me a good section to take home as a sample. Yum! We also ate dinner there. I had the taco plate which was three street tacos, refried beans and Spanish rice. Carnitas was my meat of choice. Hubby got a carne asada burrito. And because we both were a little hangry, he also ordered a quesadilla for us to share. Super friendly staff and excellent food for very good prices. A cold Modelo with my tacos was perfect. We've been told by friends and their staff that they do al pastor on the weekends. Pantera is on Door Dash! Be safe and use it! Can't speak for precautions being taken during COVID, because I've only had them delivered. This is good Mexican food, with the differentiator being ingredient quality and good prep. The chips and salsa! The salsa at Pantera is just... just a thing of beauty. I think they actually sprinkle a little bit of cilantro on top before they put the lid on the tub... I've had some good salsa in my time, and theirs is among the best. I could just.... put it in a mug and drink it.... I might have a problem. Street tacos! Yummeh! I'm kind of boring with my carne asada, pollo, and carnitas (beef, chicken, pork.) If you're more adventurous, you can have the cabeza, lengua, and tripa (brain, toungue, stomach.) Knock yourself out. Enchiladas! Yummeh! Again, I'm lame with my protein choices. I looooove this place. I come here every Taco Tuesday on my way to class in Nampa and get carnitas and a chicken burrito. They seriously have the best burritos I've had in Idaho; beans, rice, meat, and pico de gallo, all super flavorful. Their green and red sauces are delicious, I love to mix them up and add them to my food. Even when it's busy, the line to order food is quick. Bean and cheese burrito is the test of good Mexican food prior to purchasing any item with meat. If they can't get that right I don't bother chancing anything else. Bean and cheese burrito 5.99..ok but at least make it good. The beans were tasteless, the orange substance and hey called cheese I still don't know what it was had no taste. The flour tortilla tasted like they might of reheated it on nasty oil. The side order of chile relleno 3.99 was large but they put the same orange stuff in it. The egg coating was tasteless as well. We arrived tonight at 7:00 looking forward to Taco Tuesday. We had only been here once before and the tacos were great. The 'lady' who took our order was extremely rude. I asked for chips & guac and she said no the kitchen closes at 7:30. Asked for a fish taco - same story. Asked for fountain drink - same story. We ordered 6 carne asada, 1 Barbacoa, and 1 Carnitas tacos. The asada were STUFFED with fatty, grisly 'meat.' the barbacoa had one giant piece of meat(Fat) that I wouldn't give to my dog. Realizing this was intentional, we walked out, leaving the disgusting plates in the table. I tried to get the horrible ladies attention on the way out and she ignored me like I wasn't there. So I announced to the entire restaurant that these were the WORST tacos I've ever had - DISGUSTING! And Service - the woman who took our order and ignored us made it quite obvious that the disdain she has for Gabachos. Si, Senorita, Hablo espanol tambien! If I owned this place I'd fire that Cabrona with a smile on my face as well as the 'cooks' who are evil enough to serve that crap. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DUMP! read more
