I didn't have a chance to try their lunch counter but I did see a lot of people ordering so the assumption is that it's good, I definitely plan to try it next time. The staff were all very friendly and everyone I passed while shopping greeted me which definitely made me feel welcomed. I will say the store is a little on the smaller size so I want to use the word cozy to describe it. It wasn't cramped but it's not a big store. I wouldn't say this is a store for big haul shopping but if you're someone who just needs a few things or fresh ingredients this is definitely a great store.

Eventually, one of our new friends mentioned WinCo. So, we started going there. As in the other reviews, the first thing I found out was that it's either cash or debit card, no credit. Not a problem as I carry my debit card in my wallet, and have no added it to my Apple Wallet. Also, even if you go through the full checkout line, you have to bag your own groceries. This is no problem at all for us because, for the most part, we go through self-checkout lines whenever we can. Prices are the best compared to Albertsons (we don't grocery shop at Wal-Mart or Target). We do shop at Costco for some bulk items and toiletries, but the nice thing about WinCo is that you don't have to buy in bulk. WinCo does seem to have good produce, and I love the selection of whole coffee beans, since I do like to grind my own. I also buy bulk instant Gluten free oats to make oatmeal. We try to buy as many of our groceries as we can at WinCo, but since it's a 15-20 minute drive from Star, if we're feeling lazy, we just go to Albertsons. We retired so we have the time. I'm happy to have this nice WinCo so close to home.

The prices are very reasonable, even though I've noticed inflation in recent months... especially since I frequent it almost every other day! Sometimes their prices are lower than Costco, sometimes they're higher... I love how there's so much variety in their bulk bins and how it's always kept so clean! The self serving bag-it-yourself brings me back to my childhood days of bagging everything. Very nostalgic. My daughter loves bagging groceries for me, so win right there when I'm not in the mood for bag. I never tried it, but my kids told me they really like the hot foods and the cheap prices. This is now my go-to grocery store.

Their prices are fair and reasonable. I definitely would not buy everything on my grocery list here, but this is a great place to swing by if you forgot to pick up that carton of eggs, if you need a lemon, or if like me, you decide to tackle random projects like unclogging your sink drain at 8:30 at night. They've got almost everything you could need, but if you are looking for a specific brand, you might not be able to find it here. Aside from their product selection, the employees that work here are very friendly. Plus, they always have old school music playing in the background, and something about this little store makes me feel like I've been transported to the 90's. I dig it.

My only little pet peeve is when I ask where something is and get an "I think it's over there..." Costco is HUGE and can get super busy, so being sent in the wrong direction can turn into quite the adventure! I'd much rather someone double-check if they aren't sure. What really stood out during my last visit was how kind and accommodating the staff was when I lost my keys. My husband ended up having to bring me my spare, and I didn't get the call that my keys had been found until about 7:30 the next morning--but I was SO relieved they were found! Definitely saved me the hassle and expense of ordering another spare. This Costco is consistently clean, nicely stocked, and has a great team. Definitely my go-to location!

I had to rescan everything in my cart. Rude service horrible staff and just the worst. We don't pay membership fees to be treated like this. The disrespect is so serious and good luck if you wanted one item from the food court it's a 30 mins wait minimum and that's with calling ahead for our pizza last time as well. If you're going to charge people to shop there at least treat them with dignity and respect. You can go ahead and refund my membership fee we won't be back

I've heard about Steelz but never have had the chance to visit until recently. I am very familiar…read morewith returns as I manage a team that oversees 14-18 online vendors with many of them being on Amazon, Walmart, and Costco. So, criss-cross apple sauce everyone STORYTIME I When you're a manufacturer/vendor and you agree to be on Amazon whereas you sell to Amazon and then Amazon sells to its customers, most vendors choose to pay Amazon 2% for handling the returns. This means that the returns do not go back to the manufacturer or the vendor. Please note that in Seller Central, there is also a similar program but some sellers can opt to have returns returned to them. Steelz from what I saw on their shelves seems to be a home for returning goods from various stores and platforms. It also looks like Steelz is the local recipient of left-over stock that Costco and others don't want on their shelves anymore. STORYTIME II Ever since the asterisk in the upper right-hand corner of the price matrix sign at Costco? If you see the asterisk, it means that the item has a number of days before it leaves Costco. That item may or may not sell out. If it doesn't sell out, meaning sealed, factory new items are left over, Steelz will most likely buy them at a discount ( liquidated price agreed upon with Costco and others ) and then Steelz is now the owner of the inventory of sealed and new items as well as any returns that Steelz wants to buy. While I walked through Steelz, I noticed many items from Costco. I couldn't determine whether or not the pricing at Steelz was indeed a deal. In my opinion, a couple of dollars saving wasn't worth it for me but I do see value for customers who are not Costco members. If didn't have a Costco membership but wanted to shop at Costco, then Steelz is potentially a great deal. Steelz also has many Kirkland products in smaller individual sizes like toilet paper and paper towels. We didn't buy anything at Steelz that day but I would be interested in going back and doing some more looking and pricing. There's been some discussion about the return policy or returning products overall. I can't speak on this topic since I have not purchased anything. If I do purchase anything and if I have to return anything, I'll update this review.
