I'm a country boy from California and by far this is my favorite store!! The quality of customer care and service is unmatched! Take the time to talk to your service host, well worth it. You name it they got it or will definitely get it for you. The place feels like home, it doesn't get any better for a modest little place. By the way the smell of the place is amazing with all the quality leather. Only thing is they need a pasture for some live stock just because there's nothing like the smell of a pasture and high quality leather. I purchased some items there a month ago, loved the experience. The person who helped me seemed liked a manager or owner. She was knowledgeable and very nice. I stopped in today to purchase a bit for my horse, I couldn't find what I was looking for. Someone came over to help who didn't know what a hackamore was. The other person at the counter didn't want to move from leaning on the counter. I went out to my car and came back in, I went over to look at the bits again. No one came over to see if I needed help, they were busy chatting about personal stuff. I finally was done with not getting any customer service, as I was walking out, the gal who was still leaning on the counter yelled out if I found what I was looking for. I said No. she went back to chatting with the other employee. I was disappointed, I had such a good experience before, this experience today left me feeling that I will not go there again. Fantastic little store. Lots of quality items. The owner was fantastic very welcoming and friendly. Easy to talk to and made the shopping experience fun. My wife and I told her we were in there just killing time and it didn't seem to matter to her still just as polite and helpful as ever. I end s up buying a pair of new boots because I value supporting small businesses. After the fact I looked online to see how much I "over paid" and they're were 20-30 bucks cheaper then amazon. I stopped by the store to bring back memories as a kid growing up visiting the local tackle store. I was instantly taken back by the unique smell one would expect. Leather from the saddles, boots, etc. The staff all very friendly. The selection consignment and new covered everything one would be looking for at a Tack shop. I am not sure where people are getting 50% commission? I was told a much lower number and maybe this a new policy. I definitely recommend stopping in taking some time find something special. This is a great place to get your western wear. They have the most of the items Idaho country people want to wear. Good selection of horse tack. And many times multiple choices of horse and livestock trailers. Their prices are more than fair and beat many other of the big stores because of smaller overhead. This store is amazing! The ladies were so nice and helpful. They have everything you need for you horse. My daughter and I went in looking for cowboy hats. We were greeted upon arrival and shown to the hats. We found two quickly. They applied filler, attached stampede straps, shaped the hats, and placed them in a box. Talk about full service. Really nice store. My husband wanted some boot socks for Christmas. I realized I had waited to long to order them online. That was to my benefit because it prompted me to drop into this store. They have just about anything you need. Everyone working their was really nice and helpful without hoovering. As a native New Yorker I enjoy spending time in these types of stores while in Idaho. This place is fantastic. Lots of great, high end leather items (belts, boots, jackets), interesting equine show pieces, cool Western art and framed photos, wonderful silver pieces, and gorgeous saddles as far as the eye can see. I picked up a few hats and liscense plate with the company logo as well as a hand-made darling purse from Mexico as a gift for a neice. These stores are like museums to me with 90% of the items, pieces I would not see otherwise. Extremely modest prices and a friendly and smart owner business woman. I only wish I had more time to linger amoung the array of grand items and while away a bit more conversing with the owner. Please be sure to stop in and enjoy this interesting place which she humbly calls her store.
