I rarely give poor reviews for companies and businesses, but the service we received at Craigs on Saturday 4/3/2021 was one of the worst I'd ever encountered.
My best friend and I went in for her to get her nose pierced, which Maddie did an AMAZING job with. The only reason this review gets any stars at all is because of Maddie's piercing work.
However, after my best friend got her nose pierced, I wanted to buy a new earring for my tragus, which I have had pierced for 6 years. I have a fairly high pain tolerance, having had 13 piercings and 4 tattoos in my lifetime. Maddie took my old earring out and proceeded to insert the new earring. She needed to manipulate my tragus using needle nose pliers to get the ball on the backside to secure it. She warned me there would be some discomfort. When she continued, it felt as if the piercing was being ripped from my head. It was more painful than getting the piercing in the first place.
She called "dad" over, who I assume was Craig. He grabbed a second pair of (what looked to be) pliers, and aggressively took to my ear. He threw the pliers down and said, "I don't have time for this. Does it hurt?? If it's a new piercing it hurts." I informed him that it was not a new piercing, it was about 6 years old. He stormed off.
This was the least professional and most painful experience I've had with a piercing and/or tattoo. Maddie was amazing, her "dad" was unprofessional and rude. I left without the piecing being finished, came home, and had my friend finish putting the ball on - no pliers or ripping of my cartilage necessary.
Long story short, I'm sure initial piercings or tattoos are well done, but don't expect processional treatment or customer service. read more
