I was long overdue to get my permanent eyebrow and eyeliner redone but had been procrastinating due to the retirement of my former technician. I spent over a year asking friends. Thank goodness I found Artistic Cosmetic Solutions during my online research. Dr. Laura Reed let me know exactly what to expect and gave me great advice on what procedures may or may not work for me based on my skin type/face shape, etc. I could tell that she was motivated by the best outcome for me, not by her pocketbook. She gave me detailed prep instructions for the brows/liner appointment so we could achieve the best possible result as a team. Laura took great care and time to draw my brows on before the actual procedure so I knew I would be happy with the end result before she ever began. I felt very confident to be working with such a perfectionist. I was also very comfortable with the minimal pain level that Laura was able to achieve with her anesthetics, something very different from my past experiences. The after-care instructions were very well done so I could refer to them as often as I needed to and Laura was always available by phone or text. Dr. Laura Reed is very much the expert and artist, and her ongoing professional education and research shows up in the final result. read more

Let me begin by saying I may just be the worst permanent makeup client ever. I have the pain tolerance of a three-year-old and the attention span to match. Dr. Laura was so patient and so good. I LOVE DR REED!! I was tired of constantly having smeared eyebrows after working out or teaching my Zumba classes and decided to finally get my eyebrows done. I didn't want to cheap out and get crappy results. I'm so glad I did my research and went with Dr Reed. She is so sweet and her work is worth every penny! I love my new eyebrows and the fact that I can dance, swim, wrestle & chase kids around all day and still have flawless eyebrows is icing on the cake. 06/13/16 It's now been just over a week since I got my eyebrows done. Well, so far there has been a lot of fading since the second appointment. I wasn't that pleased to begin with because my eyes looked a lot smaller after the procedure. Another cosmetic tattooist said that it was done wrong. So I am left with mediocre semi-permanent results. read more

I just had my eyebrows tattooed by Dr. Reed, and I ask myself, "Why did I wait so long to do this?" It's honestly the best decision I've ever made and I am more than pleased with the outcome. NO MORE PENCILS!! :) Dr. Reed provides exceptional service. I've done my research on permanent cosmetic artists; yet Dr. Reed is the only permanent make-up artist out there who is also a licensed optometrist! The actual tattooing process only took about an hour and it was absolutely painless. I was so relaxed, that I could have fallen asleep. Dr. Reed is an amazing artist . She is very patient and extremely thorough. Her work is absolutely beautiful! She really took her time with me in choosing the shape and color, designing the eyebrow and most importantly, she really listened to what "I" wanted. Her office is IMMACULATE, with the highest standards of cleanliness, sterility and professionalism. I love the constant compliments that I now receive about my eyebrows. I will definitely visit Dr. Reed for any future applications. Next: Permanent eyeliner!! I highly recommend Dr. Reed, who is very kind, down to earth, a true professional, and now a friend. :) Karrie D. read more

Dr. Reed provides exceptional service. I have researched several permanent cosmetic artists; however, Dr. Reed is the only artist I have found, who is also a licensed optometrist and; therefore, is your safest bet. Her work is beautiful and I will continue to visit her for future applications. My eyebrows look extremely natural and my permanent eyeliner looks sexy and saves me a considerable amount of time in the morning. For the first time in my life I have received compliments for my eyebrows and my eyeliner. I encourage all women to visit this wonderful doctor as you will leave extremely pleased! :) read more

Where do you start when you're over the top thrilled with the quality of services provided? I had permanent eyeliner and eyebrows applied by Dr. Reed a couple of years ago and she is an incredibly professional and talented expert. A single tattoo on your arm is one thing -- if it isn't quite what you want you can always cover it up, but permanent make-up applied close to your face or to your precious eyes, is quite another! You want it perfect, and that's what you get. Truly. Dr. Reed is not only a medical doctor who practices proper care/safety protocols, but she's also an exceptional artist. She takes the time to thoroughly explain the process, guides you in selecting the proper shaping and colors, and then ensures the process is done with minimal discomfort. I recently returned for another procedure and we had a great time and I'm once again thrilled with the results -- and btw, so is my husband. I can't recommend Dr. Reed highly enough. read more

Dr Reed is a true artist. I had my eyeliner done, top and bottom, as well as eyelash enhancement, and it is better than I could have imagined. She spent a lot of time with me beforehand, which gave us both a clear idea on what I wanted, and what could be accomplished. Very professional as well a personable. My permanent makeup looks amazing without being overdone or under done. You definitely get what you pay for, and I would hate to have regrets on something as permanent as this. I would give her 10 stars if I could! read more

January 9, 2014 Dear Artistic Cosmetic Solutions, Needed to setup an consultation appointment with Dr. Reed, the receptionist told me she had other calls coming in that were from doctors that she needed to take care of them by answering the incoming calls. She proceeded to get my name & contact number I waited for over an hour to get a call back. Very poor service over the phone as a potential customer & felt like Artistic Cosmentic Solutions cared less about getting my business. I plan on finding someone else for my medical tattooing services. Angela W. read more

If I could give more stars I would, she couldn't have done my eyebrows any better, and I couldn't be more pleased. I have makeup artists always doing my makeup and saying how perfect my eyebrows are and they never guess I had them done until I tell them!! I've had nothing but compliments since having them done, and I have very fair skin, blonde hair and blue eyes, so you think it would be somewhat noticeable, but she did amazing. Thank you Dr. Laura!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I went to Dr. Reed to have my eyebrows tattooed and I'm so glad that I choose her. She's very nice and made me feel right at home. I was nervous at first, but she answered all of my questions and explained the process thoroughly. Her office is very clean and everything she uses is sterile. What surprised me was that the tattooing itself only took about an hour. The majority of the appointment was spent designing my brows and choosing the best color. She's an excellent artist and designed the perfect shape for my face and helped me to choose the right color for my skin tone. The best part was the fact that there was very little pain. All I felt was the vibration of the tattoo machine and a few scratches in places where the numbing ointment was wearing off (at which point she would immediately apply more ointment). There was soreness afterwards, but that's to be expected, so just make sure you take Tylenol or ibuprofen afterwards and you'll be fine. I highly recommend her for anyone who's interested in any type of permanent makeup. read more

I found Dr. Laura Reed after doing thorough research in both the OC and LA area and was very lucky to find her through the internet. She is very thorough and detailed in her consultation and actual procedure of permanent eyebrows. She made sure she made things as painless as possible because of Dr. Reed's experience and medical background. She took her time to draw on the actual eyebrows to make sure it suited my face shape and did not use stencils like other places. Because of her artistry, she was able to create beautiful and natural eyebrows and I have received so many compliments on it. She is patient, very personable and most of all, very skilled in her craft. Her office is also super clean and very sterilized. Dr. Laura is the Absolute BEST in the permanent make-up business! I love my eyebrows. If you are looking for, or are interested in permanent make-up, or color refresh then, Artistic Cosmetic Solutions is the place to go. I was recommended to Dr. Laura in 2008, after patronizing a permanent make-up business who tattooed the worst ever permanent eyebrows on my face. The ink and color were incorrect, one eyebrow was higher than the other, and as the tattoo ink began to fade my eyebrow color turned purple/pink. It was a nightmare, and clearly visible since it was on my face. Others tried to correct it, only making them worse. Don't make this mistake - Make your first permanent make-up appointment with Dr. Laura, at Artistic Cosmetic Solutions. You will not be disappointed. Anyone can advertise permanent make-up services since this area is still loosely controlled; however, Dr. Laura has trained many years to perfect the natural look, she carefully listens, measures to ensure natural placement, takes the time necessary to work with you, and will help you select the colors and style that is right for you. Plus, the ink used is specifically designed for permanent make-up, and not body tattooing. Boise is lucky to have her. I look forward to my color refresh visit because I know that I'm going to look great when I leave her office. I now live in Europe; however, I will fly to see Dr. Laura, before going anywhere else. I highly recommend her. read more
