Located on 6th street, this shop is your one stop shop for all things Idaho, handmade and incredibly special. You can find blown glass, textiles, soaps, lotions, chocolate, peanuts, ornaments, shave oils, cutting boards, games, mugs, vases, ornaments and so much more. Most of my favorite makers were there (think Ladybug Press, Sawtooth Glass Project, City Peanut Shop, All Spun Up, Sage Woolens, etc.) It felt like a holiday craft bazaar that is open year round and housing the very best products. I found the selection to be varied and affordable. You could find things for men, women, children, pets and even yourself! It bears repeating that you are paying for handcrafted, small-business wares. It is not going to have the same price tag as a manufactured good from a big box store. It will be a higher price tag. I like to think that I'm paying for a story. My purchased items contain all the love, hope, and hard work that each maker poured into their product. I love to give handmade stuff for gifts and I think they are appreciated a lot more than something I could ship from Amazon. The shop keepers were lovely. I think they are some of the makers, but it was so very busy when I went in that I didn't want to bog them down with conversation. If you are looking for special presents, this is the place to go. Enjoy all the treasures.

It says prices start at $39, but that's just for the cheaper metal. anything gold filled starts around $64. I wish the prices were a bit more transparent online, because it still ended up being pretty pricey. I added a charm on mine which was an additional $40 which I thought was outrageous but I went ahead and did it cause I was getting bracelets with my friends and figured it was just a one time thing. The shop was cute, and the owner was really nice but I will be looking for a less expensive spot for permanent jewelry next time. One spot on my bracelet was fused a little wonky so it doesn't lay properly (I wish I would have noticed right away so I could tell the lady immediately.) I can't go back and have her fix it cause I live out of town. Not to mention the two spots where it was fused are black.. very disappointing considering I paid $110 for my bracelet. I also wanted to mention that I have very sensitive skin so need things to be gold plated or gold filled at the very least, which is why I couldn't consider the sterling silver or cheaper options. Even tho I opted for the more expensive gold filled chain, I noticed my skin feeling a little irritated here and there.

As American Comic Book superhero Beta Ray Bill once said:…read more "If there's nothing but what we make in this world, brothers (and sisters)...let us make it good." Weekend BBQ Store has done just that. They have created a pocket of goodness in the world of Old Boise. Looking for a new grill or smoker? Charcoal? Pellets? Pretty much any grill accessory/tool the quest for grilled cuisine can contrive? They've got it. They also have a pretty impressive selection of grill-centric cook books of all varieties (vegetarian grilling? Yep! They've got the tools and cookbooks to make all your grilled veggie dreams come true). Plus, they have a variety of Stanley items. I scored a set of Stanley stainless steel shot glasses the last time I was in (for hiking summit shots, of course). And, oh hey...a pretty cool selection of beer. Get to it!

Boise has needed a store like this for a long time!…read more While there are many places to get run of the mill BBQ supplies there hasn't been a real boutique specialty store for the BBQ enthusiast. The weekend BBQ Store is small but packed with unique tools, sauces, gifts and grills. You'll find a wide selection of Trager Grills, which in my opinion is likely the last grill you'll ever own once you've used it. The staff at the store are very knowledgable and this is where the store really shines. Everyone working at the store is not just a BBQ aficionado but people who are active BBQ chefs who are constantly experimenting and contributing to the BBQ community. You'll find a wide selection of sauces, rubs, and BBQ accessories. Pick up a new Bloody Mary Mix while you are there (the 3 Bar is exceptional) or check out a Kamado Joe Grill, I may need to add one to my back porch but can't imagine using it even remotely as often as my Trager. Very solid beer and wine selection as well. There is a massive selection of Trager products to choose from and there doesn't seem to be a thing from the Trager lineup they done have. This is a place you'll drop in and end up staying for the conversation and likely an argument or two about what makes good BBQ great. I'm so excited we finally have a store like this in Boise!
