Sadly this spot was almost exactly what everyone mentioned but really was hoping it was a sleeper? Been wanting to give it try despite all the bad reviews but left hungry!! Although I didn't understand but if you know you know...And now I finally tried it for myself, pretty sure I won't be back? Manager at shop was super welcoming, friendly and helpful but unfortunately as seen in photo I only got half a sandwich?

    The Philly Cheesesteak

Best cheesesteak in town, hands down. Great staff, I go at least once a week or so. Best part is, you get a pretty consistent product from them every time.

Foodie joint approved! This is one of them joints where every bite was bomb. I really liked the "hole in the wall" feel of the place. We got eat outside and enjoy a little sun!

So I'm a sucker for a Philly cheesesteak. This was exactly what I was craving. My only reason for giving them 3 stars is I think the price is a bit steep for the size of sandwich you get. I want to walk away stuffed but yet I was still a bit hungry. I suppose I can eat more than others. The sandwich though was cheesy and tasty. Great flavor. I would go back.

    Rough Rider with pepperoncini added.

For a sandwich that is satisfying, filled to the brim with flavor this is the place. I got the rough rider with pepperoncini added and my wife got the classic Philly cheese steak. Half a sandwich is enough to fill you up, but if you're extra hungry like I was, the whole sandwich does the trick. The fries are thick cut, bigger than McDonalds, smaller than Red Robin. The best part of the fries was how fresh they were, we watched her fry them for our meal, and they were still hot when we got home with the leftovers. Service was simple, and efficient, you just pay at the counter. The vibes were nice, and the place was clean overall.

I'm glad that this place finally opened up in the west side. It's a great place to get some cheesesteaks. For this visit, I ordered the Supreme (add hot peppers) and some fries with cheese sauce. I like how the meat, veggies, and cheese are all mixed well together, allowing every bite to be tasty. The service here is pretty friendly and quick. I will division come back here for more cheesesteaks as it's pretty convenient for me.

Was going to try this but the prices are ridiculois. For a cheese steak. Fries and drink you're looking at 30 bucks

Meh. There was hardly any meat in our sandwiches. Total bummer. I don't like paying $14 per sandwich when it's 80% bread.

Anyone who…read moreknows me knows that I don't blow sunshine up anyone's skirt so this is a 100% fair and accurate review of the food they serve. I've actually spent a lot of time in Philadelphia so I know what a Philly Cheese Steak sangwich is supposed to taste like. Purists will say that the Philly here isn't totally authentic and that would be true, however they serve up a mighty good sandwich all the same. There's maybe a dozen or so places in Philly where you can get "the real deal". Lots more places in Philly (and elsewhere) offer a "Philly cheese steak" sandwich but they, too, are hardly authentic. So let's put that to rest. I had what's known as the provy witout. No whiz, no peppers. Just meat and cheese. Prit-T-good! Ordered the whole sandwich, which was actually two sandwiches for ~ $12. Waaaay too much even for a big guy like me. The steak was a tasty cut, grilled to perfection with the cheese cooked right into the meat as it should be. No complaints at all. The roll was as authentic as you can expect considering how far away a Philly bakery is. Unless you feel like traveling 3,000 miles this sandwich ought to keep even the fussiest folks happy. On a side note, I don't know how these food trucks make any money anymore. What with the reduced hours due to this scamdemic nonsense... they were open at this location for two hours. I believe that this was their only gig for the day. They did have a steady flow of customers but still. At ~$12 a pop they aren't taking in a lot of dough. Then you have a couple of hours of prep and cleanup time (no revenue there), the cost of materials, fuel, licenses, fees, overhead, equipment depreciation and so on.... the owner plus one employee plus childcare so she can work the business...... it's a LOT of work and not a huge reward. For them it must be a labor of love because no one gets rich operating one of these trucks. I always try to support local businesses and this is definitely a local business worth coming to visit.

The café itself is simple, clean, and cozy, with a small outdoor seating area available. Their menu features a variety of sandwiches and burgers to choose from. On a previous visit, I tried the elk burger, which was excellent. This time, I ordered the roast beef sandwich, and it did not disappoint. The bread was lightly toasted, the portion of meat was generous, and the sandwich itself was hearty and satisfying. Service was quick and efficient, making it an ideal spot for a casual lunch. While the space is modest, it is well-maintained and comfortable. They also operate a butcher shop next door, which has become one of my favorite places to purchase quality meats--I plan to review that separately in the future. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Atmosphere: Food truck pod…read more Food: I was very excited when I got the cheesesteak. It was piping hot and I had high hopes, especially with Whiz. The whiz was done right and was nice and thin as opposed to being too thick like some places do it. I appreciated the idea behind putting multiple cheese types in here, but I think it probably would have been better with just whiz. Unfortunately, my biggest gripe with this sandwich was that the meat used was pretty clearly chopped up burger meat as opposed to the typical shaved steak that you would typically encounter in a cheesesteak. While I hoped that this wouldn't make too much of a difference and would still be an enjoyable sandwich, I just couldn't overlook it as I ate the sandwich. Price: $17 for a cheesesteak (as of June 12, 2025). Reubens were $19. Prices are a bit high in my opinion Service: Excellent service. Very friendly and accommodating Parking: Street parking.
