Placed order anyway and went elsewhere for a snack. Food showed up in 50 min and it was every bit as good as it used to be. Crowded, football game was on and air was filled with greasy smoke since there is an open kitchen. Fries are no longer free, you have to buy them and no longer unlimited like 7 years ago. We finally had an opportunity to try Killer Burger. Firstly, the welcome was hearty and inviting. They were patient and helpful with questions about their burgers and sauces. This is an order at the counter; they bring it to your table. It's a comfortable space inside with plenty of seating. They had a bunch of televisions tuned to different sporting events, if that's your jam. Our food was fresh and piping hot. The fries were tasty and crisp, and our burgers were flavorful. The house sauce was a little lacking for me as it came across more like ketchup only, but hey-o, I like a mayo/ketchup with a tiny bit of mustard sauce. I'm a pickle gal and LOVED their pickles. They came around to check on us midway through our meal. That was a nice touch, considering this isn't a sit-down restaurant, and elevated the experience. Ordered online for pickup, as I wasn't feeling like going to a restaurant but was craving for a burger. I ordered a peanut butter burger and a classic, both with home sauce on the side, so the sandwiches didn't get too saggy as I bring them home. But unfortunately, to my surprise, there was no home sauce in the bag or anywhere in the order. The space is clean and inviting. For me it has the feel of a 90's local family chain restaurant, maybe a Fuddruckers, minus the big crowds. The one time we dined in, we quite enjoyed the 4 or 5 screens showing a different sports on each one. The burgers are good quality, especially for a fast-food-ish atmosphere; they are a bit rich and heavy for me, but not nearly as much as other places. The French fries are so crispy and light on the outside, while the inside is soft and fluffy, with a perfect amount of sea salt coating. I am not a big fan of sugar, am quite sensitive to it. I recently tried mango lemonade, and the original lemonade...both delicious and refreshing. I added some water to my lemonade, to lighten it up. I loved it so much that I posted about it on Facebook and many of my friends concurred that they love this burger! Came to visit the hometown this past weekend and was looking for a late dinner. Killer Burger has been a staple local burger chain that I enjoy going to, every location having a different experience from one another, but the Cedar Hills location is one of my favourites. Service is friendly, and food comes out at a reasonable time. My friend and I split two burgers together, the Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon and the Bender. I think this was our first time having the Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon burger, and although it sounds like a strange combination for a burger, trust me it was SO good. Maybe I just love peanut butter... but it surprisingly paired well with all the other components together. The Bender is a more common type of burger that comes with bacon, grilled onion, crispy jalapeno, and spicy BBQ, and of course it always just hits the spot! For starters.. nothing K-i-l-l-e-r about their Burgers. Self anointed promotion they gave themselves. They actually need to learn how to season their meat better. Truth be told. What I wanted to talk about was their 'Bomb Sauce' Super spicy habanero sauce with a hint of honey. Cal 50. You would never, in a million years, find a sauce like this at Domino's or any other major chain, where they dummy everything down for Grandma's tastebud's. I got their pint lunch meal - Jose Mendoza burger without bacon & it was flavorful & fulfilling (I didn't get a chance to take a pic of it) but just know it was good the green chilies give it a different twist. We also tried their classic burger, it was good too, can't go wrong with a classic burger. Their fries were a bit salty at first, not sure if they sprinkle the salt after laying it in the basket with the burger or they toss it before hand the but the ones I ate at the top were salty and the ones at the bottom had less salt which is fine cause I don't like a lot of salt on my fries but none the less the fries were crispy, I actually liked it. We were completely on the other side of town and decided we had a craving just at 9:04 pm and realized all of our local Killer Burgers closed at 9 pm. What a bummer! The restaurant was clean, refreshing with the set up (nicer than a few others we normally frequent) and I enjoyed the paintings on the walls. I only took a picture of the one in this post. Food - Always on point (each and every location and each order) which is why Killer Burger is our number one go to spot when we aren't up for making home made burgers and need to satisfy the craving; don't forget the very tasty fries. This was my first time here and what an experience!!! The food was amazing. I had the Fun Guy burger w/bacon, Swiss cheese fondue sauce and switched out the house sauce for BBQ sauce, mushrooms and grilled onions and held the pickles in the original size. And strawberry lemonade. Service was great and very polite and lots of helpful ideas. The restaurant was very clean and well lit. In terms of food service, I didn't really feel like there was much peanut butter. It was pretty loud and the music playing was pretty fast bpm so it felt kind of rushy; I know it's just music but didn't have the relaxing vibe. I was in a burger mood and this is the second burger I went to last week. This was definitely the better of the two. Ordering in front was easy. They have a great selection of draft beers too! The burger was good, fries was even better (with the different sauces). I wanted to try the peanut butter burger but wasn't so daring, so I chose the peanut sauce for the fries and it's good, albeit a little thick to "dip" the fries in.
