Eric has done our work for over 40 years. Alex, who came out to repair our water heater, was a delight to work with. This review is long overdue. We've been using Starving Plumbers consistently for over a year, ranging from smaller jobs to bigger ones. Alex installed our smart water meter, which is now mandatory for most insurance companies, and we have used Starving Plumber's ever since. Alex has always been the one to come to our house but I've also talked to the woman who answers their phone as well as the owner, all good experiences. Everyone there is kind, communicative, honest, and realistic. I never feel taken advantage of or like there's hidden fees, it's all upfront and personable. Alex also knows a lot about our house type, which is an Eichler, as he's a really knowledgeable dude and just super pleasant to interact with. We have gotten burned before by other companies but we feel like we are in good, trustworthy hands with Alex and this company. Also, as far as plumbers in the area go, they are very reasonably priced. We will continue to use Starving Plumbers as long as we live in the area !! read more

Wow! I didn't know a plumber could be so delightful, while getting so much done, with so little mess! Eric, the owner, was wonderful on the phone. He sent Alex the next morning. Alex installed a new kitchen faucet , demonstrated how to keep it cleaned out, then taught us how to turn off our gas and water outside. Who does that? Happy to support this small business. Will never call anyone else! Oh, and best part...Alex is a dog lover. read more

Don't let the comical company name lead you to think the company is a bunch of jokesters. Starving Plumbers replaced our tankless water heater for thousands of dollars less than the estimate from another plumbing company. 18 months on, there have been no problems. SP promptly completed the work on short notice, and the service personnel were unusually friendly and courteous. What more could you ask? read more

I highly recommend ALEX with Starving Plumbers. Being in the property management business, I can only say that he is extremely skilled, on time, neat , friendly and very reasonable. He is a real find and I am so lucky to have found him! read more

Alex of Starving Plumbers came this morning to fix my leaking shower, and he did something so outstanding that I've come straight to Yelp: As we were headed into the house,, his eye caught water fizzling under a hose bib on top of the landscaping pebbles. He immediately dropped to his knees and scraped away the pebbles and dirt and found water spurting out of a break in the pipe. I'd been in and out a hundred times and never noticed. Thank God he did. Another fixit needed, but I shudder to think how long it could have gone on if he hadn't been so observant. And new shower parts are on their way, and he'll be back tomorrow to put it all together. And I only left a message yesterday. Billing is very fair -- plumbers are paid by the hour rather than by commission and/or by the job (no matter how fast it can be done). So there's no incentive to upsell. read more

Alex from Starving Plumbers is the absolute best. He's very knowledgeable, very personable and gave me great plumbing tips. Couldn't recommend this company and Alex more highly! read more

I had a new fridge delivered and found out I didn't have a waterline in my new townhome. I called up and had Jake come over to set it up. Ended up needing to come up with a brand new solution on how to get the waterline set up and he walked me through the whole solution step by step. By the end of the day - my fridge is working like a charm! Water and ice included! Bonus points - he spent extra effort making friends with my dog as well! 10/10 amazing and recommended. read more

Alex came by, friendly and professional, and not only did he do exactly the job I required, but along the way gave me lots of education about the plumbing safety features of my new house, and made certain I know how to use them. He did not try to upsell me or pad the bill, in fact he gave me pointers on how not to get upsold by other plumbers! All this at a very reasonable price point. On time, brought along the right part because I'd provided him with pics of the problem so he knew what to bring, was in and out in about thirty minutes, polite, intelligent, and wore booties over his work boots to not bring dirt or debris from the wet pavement on the carpeted staircase to the second floor of this townhome and on to the carpeted landing as well. I would recommend you keep them on your perhaps "preferred service provided" list of plumbers. read more

Our property management uses this company with usually good results and called them to unclog a kitchen sink at our rental property. Unfortunately the technician failed to write down the details of the nature of the clog (grease? Food? Objects?) therefore we got stuck with the bill.
