I called AAA Water Systems to get a quote for a water softener installation. Virginia answered and asked some basic preliminary questions, which was fine. But then she kept insisting that my wife had to be present during the consultation because it was "company policy." I've dealt with plenty of home service companies before and have never once heard of a requirement like that. I explained that I would be the one paying for and managing the project, but she continued to push the point that my wife needed to be there. At that point, I politely asked to cancel the appointment and ended the call. A few minutes later she called me back saying they could make an exception, but by then the whole interaction had already rubbed me the wrong way. It was a very strange and uncomfortable experience for something that should have been a simple quote. I decided not to move forward with them. Would not recommend. read more

Unfortunately, my experience with this company was not good. I believe they are untrustworthy and dishonest. I was with them for several years. The last straw was yet another "upgrade" due to my levels getting worse. The salesman tested and told me the water is getting worse. I had the water tested the next day and it was the same level as last time.... No big jump Like he said... They wanted to upgrade with yet more filters ($$$$). This was within 1 year of the new system i had just bought. So I did ask about a whole house system instead Of these constant upgrades and was told couldn't do it, the "boss" would have to come out and permits would be difficult ect.... All a load of rubbish! read more

Their first visit was when Tommy B came to service and replace the charcoal in our unit, and the second was when Donald S replaced the resin on the same. Both technicians were adept in their trade - any question or concern that I had, they were able to address with utmost clarity, explaining the process from beginning to end. Tommy effectively fixed the leak I had on one of the fasteners. They kept the area of installation cleaner than when they had started. Donald made sure that there was no resin residue in my driveway - while working in the rain! Office personnel were very pleasant to communicate with. So get this - we had a Kinetico system + RO system installed when we moved in to our home when it was built, and it just failed completely two months ago. How do you know it fails? When yellow stuff come out of your faucet, the water has salt grains in it, and cold water slowly stops flowing through small openings. Well, that system lasted 19 years! What a great ROI. We called up Kinetico to remove the RO system (over time it wasn't worth it for us as it required regular service calls and lost pressure very frequently) and give us a quote for a new whole house system. Unfortunately the appointment had to be scheduled out 6 weeks. Seems a bit long and it put us out of soft water for that long too. The day of appointment went smoothly. The tech/sales person came through and removed the RO system, quoted me a price for a new system, and installation was scheduled for the next week. Super quick. Day of installation came and the guy spent at most 2 hours to remove the old system and put in the new one. Very polite and professional installer. He did a good job at it. Really enjoying the new system and hope it lasts for another 19 years! read more

Usually Tommy is our technician and he's super friendly & explains what is happening. Alfonso, on the other hand, seemed to be having a bad day. His responses were short & he seemed annoyed, which wasn't helpful in trying to figure out the confusion between what he was telling me & what I hadn't been told by phone. I opened the door & his first words were, "Is it in the garage?" Not "hello" or "hi" just pointing to the garage door, which I promptly opened for him. Next, he says, "So you're getting 6 bags of salt + delivery." I was super confused because I hadn't ordered 6 bags of salt; I hadn't even called about salt! Salt was offered as an add-on to my service request & no mention of a delivery fee. I'd called about the green, sludge looking build-up in my salt tank; I'd even sent pictures. I'd called for an assessment & possibly repair to whatever was causing the green stuff. So I asked Alfonso about the assessment, but he just brushed me off, saying the green gunk was normal & caused by salt impurities in your product. I told him this had never happened until I ordered salt from your company back in January. He said that he could clean it for $160, but it would just happen again. Not helpful, so I asked him if I should just go back to the old brand of salt that I used before. He shrugged like he didn't care either way. I gave up on trying to communicate with him because It was like pulling teeth to get any kind of useful answer or solution. I feel like he just wanted to dump the salt & leave. So I let him know that I hadn't ordered 6 bags, nor would 6 bags fit in my tank, and I asked what he meant by "delivery." He told me 6 bags mandatory + $50 delivery fee. I pushed back on the delivery fee since the salt had been offered as an add-on to the service call, but he said there was no need for a service call as the green stuff was normal. How was I supposed to know that beforehand? He said my invoice/quote had failed to send. This made sense as I had no idea about the cancelled assessment & added delivery fee. Eventually, the delivery fee was waived & he filled the tank & left 2 bags of salt behind. I didn't watch him fill the tank, but I recall from January that I got 4 bags that filled the cleaned & EMPTY tank to the brim. Now I'm trying to understand how my tank at 1/4 full already could accept 4 bags of salt yesterday?? Meaning, I only received 5 bags? Not cool. read more

Received our system little over a week ago and it seems we have equipment that needs replacing . I called on a Thursday (today) since we found the leak on Wednesday night. The service desk scheduled someone to come on Saturday but this will be to diagnosis only. I will keep updates on how they handle this type of equipment issue since we are 8 days out from our initial installation. I'm hopeful they will address it promptly but so far it's looking like we will be looking at over a week of downtime potentially. Dylan the onsite technician did have a couple of hiccups with setting up our house system but since he completed the job I was hopeful we were good to go. Now with more water leaking I hope we won't encounter any water damage to items. I know these things happen and I'm staying positive the company will not make this hard to correct. Items become damage in transit and not every setup is perfect so once we have a diagnosis on Saturday I'll come back to update on what they say! We want to give a real review of how the company will help correct or navigate this issue with their equipment. Update coming soon! I'm still giving 5 stars since we are trying to resolve the issue. As of right now we are not using our house water softener/filter system. (This was an amazing experience. Al was very thorough and answered all the questions we had with ease. I'm due to have my system installed on Wednesday, so I will upload an update once we are up and running. As of right now, I have no issues with the consult and contracting process. This company is so amazing. I'm so glad I've had them for over 10 years and everything has been perfect. My soft water system is not run on electricity, but through a special way that they have and it is the best water softener! I used to have Culligan, and it was constantly breaking down because of a faulty motherboard. This system doesn't have that and it just has pure soft water constantly in our home and my hair and skin and pipes and bathrooms are loving it! I also have the AAA water filter for the drinking water and I love it. I have clean ice too. I'm so grateful for this company, and the people that work for AAA are so kind and accommodating. I love the system and AAA has been professional all throughout--Belmin is great and very responsive! I had the system installed at my previous location last September. Aside from them never doing a follow-up test after the install (supposed to be 1-2 months after), I've enjoyed the system and it has worked wonderfully, along with the dechlorinator. Total cost almost $6k. My only gripe is I had to move in May, unexpectedly, and apparently, to move the system and reinstall at my new place costs over 20% of the entire purchase. My new place was literally a 2 minute drive down the street. I understand the complexity of the install and all but $1300 for a relocation seems a bit absurd for an existing customer. Maybe the cost is intended to make you think twice about relocating it and instead purchasing a new system (which I had considered for a while since the old property is going to be rented out). Oh well, I paid it anyway because I had to get it moved asap but lesson learned--make sure you are going to be at your install location for a good while before committing! So if you are able to fork up for this expensive system and don't expect to move anytime soon, I would highly suggest it. read more

They kept us up to date on when our service technician was coming along with his photo. The technician came on time and was genuinely helpful and patiently explained everything he was doing. We needed salt. There was absolutely no hard sale to buy from them or set up a delivery program. He explained the difference in salt, and then he refilled our system.
