I got a new house in Morgan Hill and Ive been wanting to get a water softener but I didnt want the RO system cuz I didnt want them to drill a hole in my island. Of course I yelped a few places and I had people come to my house and quoted me but I eventually end up going with Crystal Water Line. Our water softener project was a fairly complicated install, we didn't have a bypass for the backyard so installing the softener at the main source was a no-go as it would have killed our backyard, also, no sewer drains or power sources externally anywhere near where we could potentially install the softener and finally, and finally, no easy way to remedy this due to the home being on a slab foundation. We got multiple quotes but it felt like everyone was trying to fit our install into a cookie cutter template that they had, which would result in a sub-par location for the softener and a lot of plumbing just hanging by the side of the house. Ammar was the only one who spent enough time trying to figure out how the plumbing was setup at our home and what would be the optimal way to reconfigure it, find the right place for the system & drain it in addition to bypassing the irrigation system to ensure the backyard isn't getting softened water. His quote was also very reasonable. The day of the install, Ammar was there on time to get the job started. As expected with any complicated install, there were a couple of hiccups but Ammar stayed back and prioritized our install. The install was done as promised at the price he quoted. After the install was done even though it was fairly late, he even cleaned up all the dirt from the digging and left the place looking as if no work was ever done. Summary: Ammar and Crystal Water Line installed a softener + RO for my home. Their workmanship was impeccable and their pricing was quite fair. We had a Rheem water softener system installed by a handyman just over a year ago. However, within a couple of months itself, the system started showing signs of trouble (salt bridges, inconsistent recharge cycle, salty water in drinking water tap etc) and the handyman had become unreachable. After taking multiple quotes for the installation of a softener system (whole house) + under-the-sink RO, I chose to go with Ammar. And the reasons are two fold. Firstly, the pricing for the suggested system including installation was fair (and included a reasonable warranty duration).
