Was referred to the water hookup by a friend. I also spoke to other companies as well to get quotes. But Trevor won me over with his communication and pricing. It's always so overwhelming trying to decide which company to trust for these things. It was so frustrating even getting a quote for other companies, they all required an in home visit first and it just took too long to even get an appointment. But Trevor was able to give me a quote after I gave him all the information he needed over the phone. He still came by for an in-home consultation to confirm everything, and we scheduled the install for that same week on Saturday. It's impressive that Trevor does everything by himself, from the calls, in home visits, to the installation for both plumping and electrical! That's probably how he's able to keep the costs down, while other companies have to pay so many different people. He also offers a few other discounts, such as referral, military, first responder, etc. I love that it's just one person I talk to vs other companies where there's too many different people to handle different things and how hard it is to get a hold of anyone. Trevor is great with his communication, he has always picked up every phone call. Although there are some times when the call doesn't go through for some reason, might be due to no reception in some areas. Trevor was able to explain everything in detail and explained how the Clack system is super efficient and one of the best. I can confirm he's correct after doing my own research. He even provided the concrete slab that the water softener has to sit on. He installed the sewer drain line and an outdoor electrical receptacle. So far, everything is working great. I wish we installed the water softener system sooner. I still get water spots on chrome, but it's easy to wipe off. Probably other kids of residue and not minerals anymore. My hair and skin feel so much better. Also, I was concerned about watering my many houseplants with the softened water since there's now salt in the water, but Trevor reassured that the sodium amount is super minimal and won't harm my plants. Thanks for making this experience super smooth and easy! read more

6 month update: all is going smoothly with water softener! Original review: We wanted to thank Trevor for his amazing help in installing an Eco Twin 2.0 in our home. Our water is night and day better than it was before. I can drink from the tap with no mineral taste. I can wash my hands without a gallon of soap. I can rest easy knowing my home's plumbing is better protected. The price of the full install was very reasonable and Trevor made scheduling easy. From start to finish Trevor was super helpful and easy to work with. He made an initial consult visit to make sure he knew the house layout and all the materials he would need for the install, and then came out a couple of weeks later to install the unit. One thing I liked is that he is also a licensed electrician, and was able to pull wire directly for the unit and he even installed a new, unused outdoor outlet near the unit solely for our convenience and use. This shows an attention to detail and quality that I really appreciated. The install went smoothly and Trevor gave us a nearly one hour long in-person training on all the things we need to know about owning the water softener. He allowed us to record the video which gave us a ton of peace of mind. Within the same day our water was vastly improved. We also received a followup call from Brenda, one of the owners, and she was very helpful and friendly. We are very grateful to Trevor for his time and help and are loving our new system!!! read more

Like many others, I was reading through reviews on Reddit and other websites that frequently mentioned The Water Hook Up as the go-to place to get your water softener installed. Throughout the process, The Water Hook Up team coordinated a thorough introductory call explaining their process, confirmed their price for multiple payment options, continued to respond to calls/emails/texts in a timely manner, and ultimately showed up on time to get the job done. I would highly recommend reaching out and getting one installed for your house! read more

This review is long overdue, better late than never! We had our water softener installed back in 2022. To say that it makes a world of difference in our daily lives would be an under statement. Brenda helped us select the proper size based on our household needs. She coordinated scheduling the walkthrough and the installation. I can't for the life of me remember the guy's name that did the installation (bad short term memory lol). I did however manage to take video of his entire post installation instructions (with his permission of course). The day of the installation he arrived on time and was courteous. I had a ton of questions and he took his time answering them thoroughly. Save yourself the trouble and go with The Water Hook Up! We will definitely use them again when we're ready to upgrade to our forever home! read more

I'm honestly perplexed by the 5 star reviews for this company; let me explain why. For reference, I bought the Eco-Twin Whole house system in addition to an under the sink system to have alkaline water. I spent over 5k on all of it and still have to use pumice stones on my toilets and use hard water remover on my surfaces (glass, stone, and fixtures), which I was told I wouldn't need to do. I had my system installed in a new construction home in Dec 2021. Everything went fine for about 6 months and that's when the problems began. In June of 2022 my system had a leak and had to be repaired. Then it worked fine for another 9 months and then had a clog. This is a family owned business, which is why I went with them, but the men who do the labor (father, son, and maybe uncle or grandpa) are extremely rude. Maybe it's because I'm a woman; I'm not sure. But if I have to have my boyfriend here to deal with them then I don't want to be bothered. The last time (March 2023) they blamed me for the clog. It's just a salt based water softener system. I wasn't even sure what I did wrong. I called the wife/mother Brenda and complained. She was nice but didn't seem to care. Overall the company gives mixed instructions on when to add salt, etc., depending on what family member you speak to. I decided to start testing my water and it's hard AGAIN. Which is suspected given how much hard water buildup I'm seeing. This time there is no clog, or leak, and my brine looks "good." I don't even want to deal with the men in the family at this point to tell me the new reason my water is hard. I'm going to scrap this system and look to purchase a different one from another company. Do yourself a favor and buy something better. With the money I spent I could have gotten a much better system and better customer service without the attitude. 2 stars are for the company sending someone out based on their 5 warranty read more

The Water Hook-Up Last month, we purchased the Eco Twin Filter & Softener System with Electronic Clack 6 Cycle Valve from the Water Hook-up. We purchased the softener to replace our outdated/non-working water softener. We purchased the largest unit, which was pricey, but for our purposes worth it. We also had our non-working RO water filter removed. From start to finish the process was effortless. Brenda, the owner did the pre-site review and discussed the pros and cons of the various options available to meet our specific needs. She was very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant to work with. Once we selected the system, she explained the process and scheduled an appointment for installation. We provided the required deposit. Brenda's husband and son installed our system on the appointed day, and they were on time. Before and after installation all of our questions were answered. And, the son provided an instruction manual via phone scan. He also went over the key points of operations to help us fully understand our new system and gave pointers of the salt for the system. He also reiterated what Brenda stated to feel free to call if we had any questions after installation. Clean-up went well. They took away the old system and left no debris of any type. Removal of our old RO water filter was also perfect. It's been a month and I am so pleased with how the system operates and our water quality. The unit is working as stated in the documentation. Additionally, both hot and cold water are very soft and we love the feel of it. The regeneration cycle is surprisingly quiet, the unit is located in our garage. Our old unit we could hear from the garage during its regeneration cycle. Just as the son explained our cold water was soft immediately, but the hot water in the hot water heater needed to cycle through the system. Once that happened over a couple of days there was a very noticeable difference in the feel of our hot water. I won't go through all of the technical specifications of our specific system or the numerous benefits, for that please visit their website and take a look at each system offered. I would highly recommend this company to friends and family members. It was a rare treat to work with a company that exhibit high work ethics. read more

I highly recommend The Water Hook-Up for all your filtration needs. I looked around at multiple places and settled on this business. Brenda, one of the owner, came out to my house for a free consultation and was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions and concerns. I purchased the whole house Eco-Twin 2.0 water softener system and a reverse osmosis water filter unit installed under the kitchen sink. I also purchased a Rubbermaid shed to cover the Eco-Twin system and salt container because I had to install this unit on the exterior of the house. 3 technicians came out to perform the installation. They were all prompt, professional and knowledgeable about their systems. After the installation, the technicians went over the overall operation of the 2 units. They were very thorough and patiently answered all of my questions. After a week of using the soft water system, my family noticed that our skins are no longer dry due to hard water, our hair feels softer, our dishes are spotless, the laundry feels better and the broth that my wife makes taste outstanding due to the filtered water from the reverse osmosis system. read more

All staff was courteous and professional. It took about 30 mins to install a reverse osmosis system, and they left me with very clear instructions. They are still wearing masks on request, which we really appreciate. I agree with other reviewers that this business provides honest and transparent service. There was no wait time for an appointment and we received a fair price-- the price of the RO system itself seems to have come down in recent years, and the great service and peace of mind is well worth it. If you're looking for an RO system, this is the team to call! I recommend them to everyone! read more

As a homeowner, you don't want to be nickle-and-dimed for repairs or installations. I first came across The Water Hookup years ago when I needed some help to troubleshoot our reverse osmosis water filter system. Calvin (one of the owners) came across as someone who I knew we would call back when it came to replace our water softener system. Several months ago, it was time to replace our water softening system so I called the Water Hookup. Although more than 5 years had passed, I was happy to discover that they were as competent, friendly, trustworthy, and reliable as I remember. They are a family-owned business and I would highly recommend their services for anyone who values honesty and integrity. I don't think I can add anymore details about their level of service and going "above and beyond" than what has already been mentioned by other reviewers. I would highly recommend giving them a call! read more

After doing our research and receiving quotes from several companies, we were ready to move forward with a water softening and under sink RO system. Sadly, the Water Hook Up was not willing to come to our home for a pre installation consultation. Rather than helping us find solutions, it felt like Brenda was only making excuses. Because of this we will be moving in a different direction. If looking into this company, please be cautious as it seems like they are not willing to put in the extra effort for their customers. read more

Brenda was very helpful in answering all of my questions. I told her I'm not sure where is my main water pipe and she looked around and showed me where they will drill. On the day of the installation, Calvin and his guy showed up on time. After an hour or so, they told me they drilled the wrong side of the garage (this is the same place that Brenda showed me) because the water main pipe was on the other side. They finished installing at the correct side, but they did a bad job in filling the holes that they drilled wrong. I wished they confirmed the correct location before drilling two big holes through my wall and be more prepare to bring their own ladder. They used my ladder without asking for a permission and left a lot of muds on my new ladder and on my door sensor. read more

We moved recently and realized that the water in our area was very hard. We read about this before we moved in so we did some research and it seemed like this company is very reputable in the area so we decided to give them a call. Family business, very professional, super responsive. They are very patient with explaining how it all works. Will almost always pick up the phone or get back to you very quickly. On the date of install, there was an issue with how our water pipes were labeled by the house, not their fault, but the install went longer than expected but they were able to fix it all up and get it running perfectly. Very happy overall. The water tastes much better, skin is much softer, showers are much nicer. They are very clear about what the next steps of maintenance would be and it does not seem so arduous. Would recommend highly. read more

After researching several vendors for a whole house water filtration system, we settled on The Water Hook-Up for the system and the install. The reasons we choose them is that: 1) The people at The Water Hook-Up are professional, knowledgeable, open and honest about costs, and product features. Someone ALWAYS promptly answered the phone over the 2-week period when I called them daily with questions about pricing/features/options/long term costs etc. Brenda, who answered the calls, always had the answer, or researched my question(s) and promptly got back to me. This was not the case with several other vendors who were hesitant to respond, or who gave sales orientated responses (trying to up-sell me with stuff I didn't want or didn't ask for). Some took days to respond and some didn't respond at all or my calls went to repeatedly to voice mail. 2) Their products are high quality name brand and competitively priced, especially the long-term replacement/renew costs. Every water treatment system needs to have the filter media replaced, most at 10 years, and The Water Hook-Up had significantly lower long-term costs than any of the other vendors I spoke with. Not just a bit lower, but VERY much lower! I was stunned that other vendors essentially wanted to charge essentially 2/3 cost of a new system to replace the media! And most vendors were very vague about that and I had to continuously asked questions to pin them down on the costs. Not so with the Water Hook-Up, they were upfront and reasonable on the costs. 3) Installation was a breeze and the whole process was smooth and I had my system in two weeks. The install was done professionally and took less than 2 hours, and they even added a controller head that would back flush the filtration media by gallons used instead of by a fixed number of days. They also added about 15 feet of flex pipe (at no additional cost) so that I could route the flushed water onto my plants instead of just down the driveway to the street. 4) I have had the system for about 5 weeks, and it works as it should. Our water (for drinking, cooking, and bathing) is now chlorine free, and we love it! They even have a veterans discount! In Summary: After 30 plus years of home ownership, I have dealt with my share of vendors and contractors and learned a few things in the process. Get multiple estimates, research the company and product and go with the the most professional, reasonable, and down to earth people you can afford. If those people also have the lowest cost overall, then you are a double winner! You get to deal with nice people and save money too. read more

I could not be more pleased with Brenda and The Water Hook-up! We moved into our home and found out it was a hard water town - and with all my family's sensitive skin - we knew a water softener was necessary. After talking with Brenda, I felt no pressure to buy, but with her friendly and informative style, we knew The Water Hook-Up was our company. Also we were stoked to support local! EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!!! It's the simplest way I can rate my experience with this company. Brenda is great to work with, she has comprehensive knowledge of the industry. She had all the answers to my questions in regards to what the equipment would do for my home as well as the install process. I purchased the 2.0 Eco-Twin model and a Reverse Osmosis drinking water system as Brenda recommended and I am absolutely loving it. The equipment was a great investment in protecting my home in addition to the benefits of no more "dry itchy skin" and water I can actually enjoy drinking, no more buying bottled water! Calvin was the installer who arrived 5 or 10 minutes earlier than our scheduled appointment was extremely organized and efficient with the installation of the equipment. Calvin was able to put the unit right in the corner of my garage to minimize the space it took. Calvin explained thoroughly how to operate the system , left a reference bag of what salt to use and showed me where to find the manual if I ever lose it. From the office to the field this company truly knows customer service and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for water treatment equipment. read more

Extremely happy with The Water Hook-Up! Brenda was super helpful explaining what products they offered and what the benefits were. We had the eco-twin water softener installed and it was one of the quickest install I've seen. Calvin & another gentleman (I can't recall his name) were very professional! They both arrived 10 minutes early & were off to their next appointment in less than 2 hours. They communicated when they had to shut off the water, installed the equipment exactly where I asked & cleaned up after themselves. They were also open to answering my questions as they were performing the install which probably was slowing them down a bit. Brenda is always available to answer any follow-up questions, we strongly recommend The Water Hook-up as the company to purchase water softener/treatment systems. Excellent service! Professional, on time, done right the first time. Good people and good value.

I got a water softener and whole house filtration system installed in 2018 from the water hook up. I noticed in the summer of 2019 that I had to go out almost everyday and reset the GFCI switch so that the system would work. I sent an email to Brenda and she responded quickly and told us that we're close to needing an annual service and sent over her husband to check out the system and find out what was wrong. It turned out that the outlet that was installed was a faulty outlet and it needed to be replaced. They wanted to charge a service fee for this but he decided to waive the fee after we made a big deal about being charged for something that wasn't our fault. It wasn't even a year into the system and I was having issues. The outlet was replaced and it's been working ever since. Fast forward a little and I emailed them on March 2020 to try to set up an appointment for a annual service and no response from Brenda. I called them and left a message around June to try to set up an appointment for a service and received no call back. Brenda must still be bitter about not getting paid for replacing a faulty outlet that they installed. Why not be angry at the company you got the outlet from? All I know is that my system hasn't been serviced in quite some time and now I have to find someone else to do it. I should've gotten my water softener and filtration system from Costco. Better customer service! Update 8/4: I just received a call from Brenda and she was apologetic for what happened. She didn't know what happened to my email or voicemail message that I left but assured me that she wasn't ignoring me. I'm not due for a service until September. She said she'll email me at the end of this month to remind me of when the service is due. After the service is done then I'll update my review again to reflect the service that this company provided. Update 9/1/2020 Brenda came over today and performed an annual service. She arrived on time, tested my water and adjusted my softener. Thank you for your help. Five stars! read more
