I've worked with Iggy several times in my previous home and he was fair and did good work. However I called yesterday because my sump pump wasn't draining. I had checked the outlet some days prior so I wasn't sure what was causing the issue. I'm a single mom so it took me a few days to have the time to get back to dealing with it. I texted Iggy and he sent his guys over right away, no mention of a service fee. They come out and find out it was unplugged, I was unaware that at my sons birthday party someone had done that to plug a speaker in. Again I had checked the outlet before that and didn't think it would have gotten unplugged without my knowledge. So iggys guy proceeded to charge me the $190 service fee FOR PLUGGING IN MY SUMP PUMP. In his words "If we come out and don't diagnose it we don't charge you, but if we FIX it we charge you the fee." Any decent person would understand that plugging something in is not fixing it, it was simply an oversight on my part and would not classify that as a "diagnosis." Once I realized he was not budging on the cost I asked him to fix a p-trap that a friend was going to do for free but since I was on the hook for $190 I was going to have something actually repaired that morning. After 15 minutes of replacing the p-trap I was told the price was now $275. I told them I wasn't paying more than $200 and he very reluctantly agreed only because I had not been informed of the service fee in the first place. I'm a fair reasonable person and happy to pay folks their due wages for good work. However I expect reasonable and fair in return and my latest experience with Iggys guys was not that. They have lost my business for good. read more

Who here has ever been fearful of their bathroom flooding or water (for whatever reason) not turning off no matter how much you turn?? Unfortunately this fear came true for us! Plumbing is something I never want to mess or have issues with but our time came for our upstairs shower. It all started with our shower/bathtub handle not turning so great. My husband figured okay let's tighten the screw so it'll grip inside better. This led to our bathtub running water for nearly an hour!!!! No matter how much we tried to turn the handle it wasn't gripping. We removed the handle and could not use any of our tools to grip the inner mechanism and then. True nightmare! We ultimately had to shut off our main water. That's when I browsed for a plumber on Yelp and within 5 minutes Iggy responded. He provided the estimated quote which we found was reasonable knowing that plumbing can easily rack up! Iggy simply asked for photos and even offered to come that same night if they had the part. Told him we could wait until the morning. Iggy sent Chris along with another gentleman and they arrived within their set timeframe. Less than 20 minutes our kids shower was in working order. What a nice experience! I called to schedule an appointment the following week, but Iggy was able to fit me into his schedule on a Saturday. He had to look high and low for an in-stock replacement tub spout in polished brass because my bathroom is that old. I had visited Home Depot and Lowe's to purchase one with zero luck. If there were 10 stars I would rate Iggy's plumbing a 10. Their prices are very reasonable. They are honest, helpful, knowledgeable and nice. We had two other plumbing companies some years back and recently also the City come out but couldn't find my home's front clean out. However Iggy's plumbing took the time and located it. Once they did, it alleviated part of the problem by not having to travel the snake from the back of the house which required further distance and previously costed more money. Wow. I am so grateful. I called at 9:00 Am and WOW same day response as mentioned. We had a small leak at the garbage disposal. Chris of Iggy's showed me photos of all the under sink issues and recommended repairs. Chris fixed all the issues to include a new garbage disposal and snaking the drain to open a clog at approximately 45-50 feet. He gave us a recommendation for ZEP a drain clog "preventative" product and an under sink mat that can catch up to 3 gallons of water for future leaks. We noticed a leak in the garage wall this morning . My hubby turned off the water and called Iggy's plumbing. I contacted Iggy late Monday night, the Monday before Thanksgiving, via Yelp to say I had no hot water. I received a response from him within an hour, requesting information. He contacted me on Tuesday morning to set up an appointment to diagnose the issue. He was out to my house before 7:30 am and by 8am he had two plans of replacement or repair and due to the age of my system, I went with replacement. The found some additional leaks and replaced a larger section thanks to their due diligence. They even installed a better switch for my water. When I asked if other pipes should be replaced, they were honest with me and said no, although they probably could have easily said yes (I would be none the wiser, after all!).
