WATCH OUT! Drain Time Plumbing inspected a slow-draining toilet and recommended more than $8,000 in repairs, claiming about three feet of pipe and a damaged cleanout needed replacement. DTP said that the line was so damaged that 3ft of exterior piping needed to be ripped out and replaced. Their reasoning was that the cast iron clean out was "cracked" and needed to be replaced. This is the first B.S as the cast iron is just a shroud that covers the cleanout and doesn't carry any waste water. The next BS was that there were no photos of the destroyed pipe that they claimed existed. The 3rd BS was that DTP claimed that the cleanout, located 2ft from the exterior wall, was damaged. Typical cleanouts ARE located here, but mine isn't! DTP didn't even try finding the cleanout as the mulch in the area was untouched. FRAUD!! FRAUD!! DTP wanted over $8,000!I got another plumber to come out, replace my toilet, and problem SOVED for $300 (ALL-IN). These guys will take you if they think you don't know or aren't present. read more

We had a full main line backup caused by roots growing through our older pipes, along with a clogged shower. After having poor experiences with our home warranty contractors, we continued searching for a reputable plumber and found Drain Time through Yelp. I gave one star because they responded quickly and were able to schedule us promptly for an inspection at no charge. I gave another star because Gabe was friendly, professional, and did a thorough inspection using cameras to show us exactly what was happening in our pipes. Unfortunately, the experience changed when additional personnel became involved. The conversation quickly felt more like a high-pressure sales presentation than a service call. We were quoted nearly $50,000 for a complete home replumb, which was a major shock. What was most frustrating was that no temporary solution was offered to get our plumbing functioning again to allow us time to look at our finances and plan for such a high dollar long-term repair option. After sharing the quote with friends, we were referred to another local plumber. He came out the very next day, cleared the roots, fixed the shower, identified the exact location of the damaged pipes, and scheduled the necessary repairs for the following weeks. The cost was a fraction of what we were quoted by Drain Time, including permits, materials, and labor. While I appreciated the responsiveness and professionalism during the initial inspection, I ultimately felt that the proposed solution was excessive for our immediate needs to help us get back up and running. read more

After my last review, Drain Time Plumbing flagged it for deletion on yelp. The short. I was in a wheel chair and am a single woman. They gave me the attached quote for $40K to repair my line. Look at the photo of the esimtate which they provided me. Armoured Plumbing took care of everything for $8k. I encourage customers to reivew the low reviews. This price gouging was not limited to me. Don't use this company. They also seem to be dishonest in their yelp responses as they claimed they had no record of this and told me I must have mistaken them with another company. Response to adam: In my prior review said I didn't write a review for two years because I was scared that your company knew where I lived, and I was a single woman confined to a wheelchair. Your aggresive tactics and calls at 10 pm frightened me. I would hope a business would understand that fear. Yelp is not the BBB, just a review service. I suppose I may take this up with a legal authority. You still have not addressed the fact that you suggested I had your company mistaken for another which implies that you recognize the very outrageous estimate. Finally getting around to writing my review for Drain Time Plumbing. Back in September 2025, we noticed our master toilet was leaking. Our home warranty technician came out and discovered roots growing around the drain, which unfortunately wasn't covered under the warranty. I went on Yelp and requested several quotes, and Drain Time Plumbing responded right away. They were able to send a technician out the very next day to check the issue. I decided to go with them because they explained the problem clearly and walked us through how they would fix it. A few days later, two technicians came out for the repair. They had to jackhammer the flooring around the drain to access and fix the issue. After the repair, they cemented around the drain and cleaned up the area really well. Both technicians were very professional and friendly. To save a little money, my husband did the tiling around the drain himself, and a technician later came back out to reinstall the toilet. Everything went smoothly and the service was great. We'll definitely use Drain Time Plumbing again for any future plumbing needs. Highly recommend. read more

Thank you Drain Time! February 8, 2026, (Super Bowl Sunday!!) we had two toilets and two showers randomly start overflowing water. We needed help asap! I started Googling and called the usual suspects Mr. Rooter and Roto-Rooter.. Both companies were closed and forwarded our calls to their AI agents (which were useless). Drain Time answered and was able to come out immediately! Gabe showed up, battling the rain of the evening, and we explained the situation and he got to work straightaway. Not long after, Mark arrived onsite to help snake our line. They got the line cleared and told us that we'd likely continue having issues (spoiler alert, we did). The pipe from our house to the street was badly deteriorated and needed to be replaced. Pretty sure it was the original from when the house was built 60 or 70 years ago. With scheduling, it took some time to get a new pipe in via pipe burst (trench-less installation. Saved our front yard!). We hired this company to install water heaters, and while the project ultimately passed inspection, the process took about two weeks and was far more frustrating and costly than expected. The initial communication and responsiveness were great, which gave us confidence moving forward. However, the issue was not diagnosed correctly from the start, and there appeared to be a lack of understanding around how to access key areas needed for the work. This ultimately resulted in needing to install two water heaters instead of one, adding unexpected cost and time to the project. Communication throughout the job became very inconsistent. We were frequently told someone was coming, only for no one to show up. When calling the dispatcher, the information provided often did not match what was actually happening. An inspection was also scheduled for a day I had clearly communicated I could not be there, resulting in the inspector arriving when no one was home. The only time communication significantly improved was after I spoke with Mark, who was professional, responsive, and helpful once my frustration reached a higher level. I appreciated his efforts to move things along. That said, I was disappointed there was no acknowledgment, credit, or resolution offered for the additional time, delays, and inconvenience caused throughout the process. Overall, while the work was eventually completed and passed inspection, the experience fell short due to poor communication, misdiagnosis, delays, and added costs. Stay away from Drain Time!!! We were charged $1,000 to hydro jet our sewer line after initially being quoted $2,000. After the work, we were told our pipe was in bad shape and that we needed an $18,000 trenchless sewer replacement. Thankfully, we got a second opinion. Another plumbing company (Mako Plumbing and Sewer) inspected the line, confirmed the pipe was in good condition, successfully cleared the blockage with hydro jetting, and completely fixed the problem for $650. No sewer replacement was needed. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Drain Time. If they tell you that you need expensive repairs, get a second opinion before spending a dime. All around excellent company, definitely my plumbers for life! On Saturday morning we discovered a leak coming from the wall in our master bathroom. Drain Time responded to a Yelp quote quickly and were at our house Sunday morning. There was a slight delay due to another emergency and they even offered to come on Saturday evening but we chose the following morning as the leak was slow. The inspection uncovered multiple major issues and we needed to have all our water and sewer piping replaced for our 3 bathroom house on a larger lot (our house is from the 1940s). Over the course of the project, I met between 10-15 employees and every single one was kind, professional, excellent at communication, and respectful of my time and space. They worked so efficiently and always left our house in as clean a state as possible at the end of the day. The owner Tommy was always there to explain every step of the process, talk through decisions, and keep me informed of the many moving parts. Thanks to him and his team I have a much better understanding of my own plumbing, and plumbing in general, and they managed to bring some lightness and humor! They were quick to come on site during a weekend for an overflow toilet. They provided temp fix of helping drain the overflow toilet with some heavy use of a plunger and tried to sell us to replace the cast iron clean out with a plastic one as it was "source of the problem", but that was not the case. Our mitigation contractor found out as they took out the toilet it was actually roots in the pipes not calcium build up from having cast iron pipes. I felt I paid for false advertisement and not actual work. Wasted our time and money. Wish they did a more thorough job in investigating instead of selling. read more

I can't speak to the quality of work, which seems solid based on the reviews I've seen. However, I do have to recommend that people get a few estimates before committing to a large project. I had a small gas leak from the fireplace key. During the inspection I was told that the key valve could not be fixed or adjusted, and that their recommendation was to replace the gas lines for the entire house for $16,000. Well, someone just came by from another company today and fixed the leak at the key for......$150 and it took like 10 minutes. I can't say I'm enthused about how that played out so felt obligated to make others aware before you are taking loans out for no reason. read more

Zach was more than courteous, and even though i was not home... he phoned me to ensure he addressed all my concerns, and to ensure nothing was missed during his visit. what should have been an easy swap out for our toilet and a DIY.. turned into something else.. was unable to get the valve off, and as a result misaligned the fill valve in our toilet. Last week my wife called me frantically saying she had gotten a smell of what to be a gas leaking from our gas water heater I got on yelp looking for someone who could help us out, within 20 mins Drain Time Plumbing reached out and said to give them a call at our convenience The gentleman on the phone said he could get someone within 1 to 2 hours to our house Within 45 mins Chaydon texted me to let me know he was on the way When Chaydon got here he got to work trying to figure what was going on. He checked for leaks and couldn't find anything. At this time there was no smell at all. He stayed for a bit to make sure there was not a leak, or smell and made me feel at ease. I'll start by saying Brandon seems like a nice kid. However, we were told by this company that we had $27,000 worth of repairs, which would include ripping out the floors in our brand new house. It started with our sink not draining, and it ended up being just a clogged pipe which was discovered by a different company. Drain time did not offer any other solutions than ripping the floors out and replacing 30ft worth of pipe. Had we gone through with this, we would have spent almost 30 grand on basically a waste of time and resources, for everyone. I'm sure they are good at other things but I would not call them for clogs. That being said, I would not recommend drain time, or at least say, always get a second opinion. read more

I had an extremely stress-filled experience with Draintime Plumbing and almost had a heart attack when they gave me an estimate for over $7000. I initially called to have a bathtub hot water faucet repaired as the water would not stop running. That was rhe only thing I needed repaired. They arrived and told me they would have to put a hole in my exterior wall to access the tub valve, and replace with a new valve (valve alone was $450 just for the part). I asked why a new valve couldnt just be installed from the top and they explained that it was not possible. Then, as they were walking out the front door, they noticed a small drip of water from our frontyard riser and said it needed to be repaired immediately via a new ball valve and copper piping. They said the valve alone costs over $700, and that if I didn't do it now, it would burst and cause severe damage to my house. On top of that, I asked if they could just shut the hot water off so we could use the other faucets and toilet until it was repaired (which was not going to be done til the next day). They said it was not possible. So they gave me two options: shut off the main water valve to the house (which would not allow any faucets, toilets or shower to be used), or leave the bathtub hot water running until the next day. Really? As I found out the next day from a different plumber that they could have simply closed the hot water valve from the water heater so that we could still use the toilet and faucets (albeit without hot water). The next morning, I called a different plumber who arrived within 20 minutes, repaired the barhtub hot water valve with a few parts that cost less than $5 and done in 15 minutes; and the bathtub faucet has been working perfectly ever since. The bathtub faucet did NOT need a new valve. And the outside riser? He simply tightened the nut at no extra charge. The honest plumber was Golden State Plumbing (which I left a review for). Draintime Plumbing should be arrested for trying to swindle over $7000 for unnecessary and excessive repairs. Be careful out there, I selected Draintime initially due to their 4.7 avg rating on Yelp. That was exceedingly misleading. I have never felt more violated than with my experience with Draintime Plumbing. Shame on them for almost scamming me for over $7000. This amount was to cut a large rectangle hole in my stucco wall, install a new water valve for the tub, cover the hole with a metal plate, and replace the outside riser piping and valve. read more
