I work remotely / on my laptop....and enjoying finding welcoming places to do work, while enjoying fresh treats and yummy coffee (!!). The crew at Southampton Starbucks set the tone right and have a cheery welcoming / warm atmosphere, which is why I go there everyday (several times per day) for my favorite lattes and treats. On a recent very cold day, Kellie, welcomed me with a "Hello Lisa!" as I was placing my order.... she has noticed that I enjoy sitting near one of the window tables, today all of the tables were taken and she said "Lisa do you want me to take one of the tables from outside in here for you?!" Wow, talk about customer service... This just made me feel warm and appreciative right away. I had been planning on taking my coffee and going for a walk until the tables became available, but Kellie's solution was much better!!! It was frigid out so she rightly assumed no one would want to be outside, and she went out of her way to make this recommendation, and accommodate me. Sarah is a gem (!!!) , she takes such pride in her work and her warm personality makes my visits there soooo cheery! Katie is so personable!! Everyone there (I don't know every ones names) but they all are wonderful and make a great dream team!!!! I work as a professional recruiter and naturally tend to notice peoples different skillsets and talents.... this is a really talented group w/ unique diversified skillsets, which make a great well rounded, warm and happy team.. Just had an atrocious experience here. The older woman working this morning (only describing her…read morethat way because she was literally the only person who wasn't in their 20s) handed me my order. It was incorrect. I let her know I was also missing an item. She held up my sandwich, crumpled it in the air and slammed it into the trash and said, "I guess we'll just throw this in the garbage?!" and then walked away. It was an appalling way to speak to a customer, or anyone really. Not sure if she was the manager but she displayed horribly unprofessional behavior and I feel badly for anyone who works for or with her. I understand working in the Hampton mid-July can be stressful, especially during the morning rush but this was not even my fault, and I was very polite when I addressed her. I'm actually embarrassed for her. Smh.

It's one of the few places in the world that the line of customers transcends all boundaries. Billionaires, builders, artists and house painters all in the same line getting their favorite coffee from one of the nicest guys you could ever know. Coffee so good, you won't see the name on the door of a nondescript commercial building in a gravel lot by the train station. I don't get here every day like I used to, so I grab a couple pounds to keep the house stocked. This place is like a favorite shirt for my soul.

I visited this cute Mattituck location back in late August and the results were pretty tasty. You see my wife and I were looking for some coffee and a place that's different than what we've often found on the North Fork and so MEB popped up as an option. Not a ton of reviews were posted, but from the ones on Yelp (and dare I say Google too) made it seem worthy of stopping. The worthiness is definitely there because Macchiato has a nice array of coffee options as well as pastries and more elaborate edibles (sandwiches, salads, etc.). You can find everything on their menus though you won't find too much else inside as the place is definitely small. A couple of tables, some fridge drinks and pre-maid foods, and an area of swag and other items is the entirety of the interior so don't expect any true cozy feels. But hey, you can't drink cozy (well maybe in the Fall/Winter), and so let's turn our attention back to the name of this place and focus on coffee. I went with an iced latte with vanilla while my wife tried the iced chocolate (as it was written on the menu). For me, I liked mine. Nothing negative to necessarily say about it as it had a good coffee kick, but when my wife felt like hers was a little too heavy in the bitter bang before the chocolate took over, I decided for us to switch drinks as I thought the iced chocolate was delightful (I do like my coffee a little stronger). Before finishing up, I do want to mention that we were a bit hungry and so one of the chocolate croissants in the display case made its way into our possession. The funny interaction my wife had with the friendly staff member ("Is that a chocolate croissant?" "You know it is!") added to our excitement and oh did it pay off as it tasted delicious. Overall, Macchiato Espresso Bar had a lot to like. Perhaps they're a little small, but they pack some good coffee and pastry/food choices in an area that really doesn't have a ton of options. I'd definitely return another time when out east and in search of my morning cup of joe along with a desire for a bite to eat. And with that I can now post some very belated pics with this review so the CMs stay off my back!

The place is extremely clean, the new marble floor gives this spot a more high end feel. Looks like a nice place to catch up with friends or work from (though not sure if they offer free wifi). I ordered an iced americano with coconut water which is such an inventive idea. Very delicious. My brother's latte was on the weak side, but since they're brand new they may just be working out the kinks.
