The lighting and the French music playing overhead also lend themself to the unique experience. I ordered a margarita and 2 sips in, I found myself even more relaxed and enjoying more and more of the decor details of the cafe that I continued to notice throughout. The menu offered so many options, including quite a few vegan options, but I settled on the watermelon salad (weekly special), the boats n hoes spring rolls (veggie), and the Vegan Burger. The watermelon salad was so fresh and delicious, and it complemented my (2nd!) margarita perfectly! The spring rolls were perfectly crispy and flavorful and the vegan burger was the star of the show and was absolutely perfect, especially with the added fresh avocado on top! This place was somehow made even more fantastic by the quick-witted, fun-loving, hilarious owner/host/server, Marco, who provided us with great service and even better stories (were they all true??!!!). That came out first and my wife and I took a few extended moments as the menu is extensive. I ordered the chicken and waffle with bang bang shrimp and my wife had the steak with rice and onions. Both dishes were flavorful and definitely enjoyable. I could definitely go back in again if I ever head back or East, but maybe taking the Long Island railroad would be better since it is across the street from the train station.
