Such a cute coffee shop. Came here with my mom and brother on our recent trip out east, and decided to grab some coffee after having lunch over at Lulu's. The place was busy but not packed -- we were able to grab a cute table over by the windows which had comfy cushions and pillows. I ordered a cappuccino which came out quickly and was nice and hot and strong. There was a lot of great people watching here -- folks getting work done as well as some cute dogs. Taking a look at their Apres menu made me wish I was in town longer or later -- it looks like they have a great food and drink menu at night! There's also a souvenir shop attached to this location if you're in the mood to do a little shopping while you're here. The service was fast and friendly. I'd come back. read more

This is the best breakfast burrito in the Hamptons. There's nothing that comes close. It's a work of art and it should be awarded a prize. All the food here is very good. The barista and the cashier could be a lot warmer and friendlier tho, but what are you gonna do ? You can't have it all. Also just after it rains they could dry the outdoor seats for patrons. And they should also work on doing a better job announcing that your order is ready. That would be nice. This is my go-to spot in Sag Harbor for coffee and breakfast. They have La Colombe's oat milk latte on tap, and also offer a nice variety of other coffees made fresh. The smoothies are also stellar. They have gluten-free bread and usually have at least a couple gluten-free pastries (their almond muffins are wonderful). While the line can be long, I've never had to wait too long for my order, and the service is friendly and responsive. They only have a couple seats inside but they also have a few outdoor patio seats which are lovely on a nice day. read more

The cutest coffee shop (and my favorite) in the Hamptons. I got an iced caramel macchiato which was delicious and the best I've ever had! I ordered an egg and cheese on challah. The bread it came on looked like and tasted like regular white bread. We double checked and they said it was challah. Not really sure what happened there but it was still delicious. TLDR: the draft lattes are great, sandwiches have fresh ingredients albeit a bit dry, and the atmosphere makes for perfect ambiance. ----- The staff here are so friendly, even with the huge lines during Labor Day weekend. My dining partner and I ordered coffee (a mocha and a draft latte) and sandwiches (Turkey club and a BLTA). It took a bit of time to get our order but again, it was very busy. We sat outside and it was lovely. The sun and the architecture of the shops behind us were the perfect backdrop for our meal. Both sandwiches had really fresh, crispy lettuce and bacon that was soo perfectly cooked. The bread on the Turkey club was a bit dry and hard -- it could have used more of the delicious mustard sauce. The draft oat latte was great and they added the *perfect* amount of simple syrup. The mocha was just ok. It needed a lot of stirring and even then didn't have much flavor. For how crowded and touristy sag harbor was on LDW, it was exactly what we wanted / needed. Truly such a gem. Best vibe and coffee! We were in town for 36 hours and went 3 times!

I have always enjoyed going to Sagtown. Whether it is 6:30am before going to work or lunch time, there is always something to eat here. Earlier this spring on a cold day, I tried the chia seed pudding. I haven't specifically heard of or tried a chia seed pudding other places, so I have no point of comparison. The chia seed pudding itself was good and berries on top tasted fresh. There did seem to be a lot more of the pudding than the berries. On a more recent trip, I went into the store around lunchtime and ordered an iced chai and açaí bowl. The iced chai was good and had a good ratio that wasn't too sweet or too heavy on the milk. The way that the açaí bowls work, all of them have the same açaí base and then you add toppings from a list. Each topping is $1 (none of the toppings are included in the buying of the bowl). I added 4 toppings and enjoyed the bowl. While I enjoyed each of my meals at this place, I would say that it is important to note that there is always a line, a good amount of people either waiting or eating, and that the priced are slightly inflated for location. I think that for simple things like toppings on the açaí bowl, it would make more sense for some toppings to be less than others. For example, the smattering of chia seeds don't need to be the same price as a good serving of mangos. In all, I look forward to going back here for a quick lunch or a breakfast. read more

Cute coffee shop and lots of yummy treats. I got an iced cold brew with the monkey smoothie. The smoothie was delicious if you're a peanut butter fan!! We also got the vegan carrot cake muffin, blueberry muffin, chocolate croissant and regular croissant. All were really good and I liked that they had vegan and gluten free options. The cafe isn't too small and has seating both inside and outside. My order came out pretty quick despite it being quite busy. Very chic, local coffee spot right on Main St. in Sag Harbor. Very clean with a large selection of coffee, lattes, tea, and other morning drinks. They also have a very elevated morning food selection like avocado toasts, omlettes, etc. You can get takeaway or stay and eat as there are a few tables with umbrellas outside. The iced mocha latte was maybe the best one I've ever had. I got it with oat milk, ordered online (place is so busy definitely order ahead). I get these things everywhere I go and this is head and shoulders above the rest. We also got a breakfast burrito and it was fine. However, it needed salt. The egg and the guac specifically. I wouldn't order it again. Also ordered an açaí bowl. Ordered two extra toppings and they were not in the bowl! Overall, I'd only get the coffee but I'm not sure it's worth the wait. What a zoo. Still once you get past the cramped and crowded entrance and place your order you are the subject to screaming staff yelling out " number 15 ! "as if officiating a football game. That said, if you can handle all the overly loud poor choice of hip hop music while joining ten other " detainees " desperately waiting until your number is screamed out!! I lived in Montauk one summer while my family's home in Sag Harbor had a tenant. I fell in love with the Sagtown Coffee outpost they had and I was already a fan of the coffee (La Colombe - based in Philly). I was excited when I learned, years later, that Sagtown opened a retail location in downtown Sag Harbor! Its a shared space that is 'separated' by decorative roping on the ceiling and handbags. The seats are very limited and not very comfortable; they incorporated some seating within two of the three windows in the place. I've come to this location, off of Main Street in an alley with a handful of boutique shops, several times in the last 3-4 years including the pandemic and during different times of the year. I have order both hot (Americano, drip, etc) and cold (Black & Tan draft latte, iced coffee) and for the most part that remains well and good. The food on the other hand is a bit of a crap shoot. I recently went on a Friday AM and saw they had an Everything Brazilian cheese bread! I'm familiar and enjoy the traditional Brazilian cheese bread which is basically a cheese roll that looks like a garlic knot. And with everything seasoning?! But unfortunately, when I received the to-go bag (which I didn't say it was to-go) the cheese bread was COLD! Nothing appetizing about that and I would've gone back to ask them to heat it up but this place was slammed. They do have other healthier food options like Acai bowls, smoothies and trendy Avo toast. And they now service Gelato? That was a new addition since my last visit. Prices are like they are most places out here and comparable to those coffeeshops in NYC. Its obvious this place is popular but in context, its not really competing with a lot of other coffeeshops in the area because there aren't a lot of options. So overall, its not bad and the staff works their ASS off but it isn't a place I'd go out of my way to go to on a regular basis. read more

Very loud. The service people were yelling over the smoothie blenders in Spanish to each other. Barely could hear the music. An hour until closing, they start shutting everything down, so don't expect any hot food if you go in later in the day. The cashier was nice. She was trying her best. I can tell she was kinda embarrassed about the loud yelling. Didn't see a pour over coffee station, so don't expect that if you are a real coffee person. They have LA Colombe coffee, which is good. Wide range of only their coffees. So don't expect different roasters to display their coffees. If there was single origin or better than good to great coffee, I didn't see it. The barista pulling shots made me a very fine doppio. They do have ice cream/ gelato and smoothies, which my daughter loved. It's located in the back of another clothing retail shop, which is fine. Has an alleyway with tables to sit at. Pets are welcomes in the alleyway tables, not inside (which I completely understand). The store is actually nice. Good for a quick fix, but I'm not adding it to my go-to places to have coffee or to lounge around at. read more

Sagtown is a great stop if you're strolling through Sag Harbor and want a great coffee. They use La Colombe beans, which are excellent, and they sell the beans onsite as well. I appreciate that they now employ an outdoor order window so that things don't get too stuffy inside. I will say, though, that the wait times are typically pretty long. I remember a particularly cold winter day that I stopped by for a hot drink and had to wait 5-10 minutes outside. I definitely wouldn't come here if I was in a hurry. Spent the weekend in Wainscott, NY and had to stop in Sag Harbor! I was walking down their Main Street and saw the sign and smell of coffee. Sag Town Coffee is a cute little coffee shop that offers a variety of coffees, smoothies, and breakfast foods. The barista/cashier was so welcoming and answered all the questions I had. This was a really solid coffee shop - good coffee and quick, friendly service. I got an iced latte and it tasted really smooth and flavorful, though it was a touch on the milky side (but I didn't mind!). The prices are pretty good for this area - the latte was around $5.50. They have a really great set up for COVID. They have one window where they take the orders and another where they hand out the drinks. Even though I ordered 3 drinks, they were ready within a few minutes. They do have several outdoor tables, though there were all full when I went around 8:30am. They have a nice healthy food menu too - I hope to be able to try that next time I come by. They have smoothies, acai bowls, and sandwiches.
