I work all over the east end of Long Island. I'll go through Greenport maybe half a dozen times a year, but I haven't actually stopped in Greenport in years. So tonight I wrapped things up in Greenport and I really wanted to stop and try Aldos. I'm so glad I did. Espresso is my coffee of choice, especially as an Americano, and Aldos espresso is oh so good! Pair that with a nicely decorated store, super chill music and a killer view of the water and I was instantly in love. I didn't have any baked treats, definitely next time, as this will be a go to spot for now on. I am sure you'll like it too. I'm placing this in my top five spots with a solid tie for spot number two! Last but not least, I have to say the staff was super friendly and not pushy at all, I know I came in late maybe 45 minutes before closing, but they treated me as nice as if they just opened. Great job! Edit: Forgot to mention I grabbed a pound of espresso for home. Cant wait to grind some up! read more

Stopped in for coffee while visiting Greenport for MDW and I must say, wow! A great local coffee shop with a lot of options for drinks and gelato. I ordered the Cafe Mocha and it was delicious. It was the perfect ratio of espresso to chocolate and not overly sweet which I always appreciate. Service was super friendly and very quick despite how busy the place was. Being able to sit outside overlooking the marina was a very relaxing and enjoyable vibe. Definitely enjoyed my visit and will be coming back. read more

I will admit I initially found this bunch via Facebook/Instagram/Hampton Ambassador wrapped coach however after receiving a sampler from them I seem to determine why. The website has many ways of getting the coffee as you want (ground/beans to grind/edible snacks) & even when you receive it they have even how they recommend storing it (yes I have photos plus the actual information & even called them and yes they called me back). I suspect they have a pretty good place with ambience especially for LI/Hamptons area but overall I suspect very adequate & handling whatever needed regardless of food/coffee/snacks/place layout etc. and likely service is up there as well so that should be a good sign. I admit that sometimes online advertising can be an interesting way of doing that but for a place creeping on forty years & new people carrying on tradition, definitely a good sign. read more

I've been coming here for years. The coffee is delicious and reasonably priced and it's the perfect place both to get work done or to socialize. I love sitting inside or out. I usually get an Americano or an almond milk macchiato. Their lunch is excellent as well--I like the hummus wrap. Walked in looking for fresh baked bread and was pleasantly welcomed by the smell of roasting coffee. The gelato looked amazing! We were walking out as all we wanted was bread at the moment (we were ready for a Greenport beer) and was asked (by whom we assume was the owner) with great enthusiasm and pleasantry why we leaving, we explained we wanted bread and was gifted some amazing hazelnut-chocolate biscotti . We came here every morning on our stay in downtown Greenport! Arrived 7am at opening and couldn't wait to order their mocha, which is the best I've had. Sprinkled with actual chocolate which I heard they make themselves. Decadent and such a rich way to start the day. Great homemade biscotti and croissants to dip. Recommend the plain croissant over the chocolate (so you don't get a cocoa rush like I did). Cozy spot with lots of tables inside and in the backyard. 5 stars!!! read more

A little scoop of heaven! I stopped into Aldo's Coffee and decided to try the espresso gelato wow!! It was absolutely delicious and instantly made my list of favorite gelato flavors. Rich, smooth, and packed with that perfect espresso kick without being too sweet. The service was just as delightful as the gelato. The staff was friendly, patient, and happy to chat about the different flavors. It made the whole experience even better. The vibe at Aldo's is cozy and welcoming, the kind of place you could hang out in for a while or just pop in for a quick treat like I did. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors, but that espresso gelato might be hard to beat! While I didn't get a chance to try the coffee, I noticed they also serve mixed drinks which was such a fun surprise for a coffee spot! It's the kind of place that has a little something for everyone. Some reviewers have appreciated the more positive vibes compared with the place when Aldo (the owner and creator) was running it. That is absolutely true, since Aldo was a tough cookie, also for the staff, but there is a quality control problem with the new place. Some on the staff are downright rude and some are not competent as baristas (certainly not all!) My wife and I have been going there for over 20 years so we have some historical perspective on this place. Some days you can have a great experience and others definitely not. Hands down the best espresso martini I've ever had. I have walked past this unassuming place in the center of town a million times, and finally popped in after dinner this evening to check out the gelato flavors. You're greeted with a delicious coffee scent as soon as you enter the space, and can see beans being ground by a big machine which just adds to the vibes. Of a handful of gelato flavors, toasted coconut was a perfect choice. The super friendly barista/bartender told me they could do a variety of espresso based cocktails and other faves like an aperol spritz - and when I may have been leaning towards the spritz, he encouraged me to get an espresso martini and I'm so glad he did! It was the best I've ever tasted. The espresso was rich and not at all bitter, it was creamy and icy and frothy and amazing. If I could have more than one and not be awake for three days I would have, but alas I cannot, so instead I'll return as often as possible to get my fix. I'm so happy we stopped in and found a new favorite spot. You should too! read more

This is one of my favorite places, full stop. It is my favorite coffee house and it's located in my favorite place, Greenport. It is an absolute gem and a must stop if you are anywhere near the North Fork. I have been going here for years, if not more than a decade. I love how the offerings have grown, while quality has remained high. The coffee is roasted in house, smells amazing, and taste awesome, although my favorite drink will always be the hot chocolate. They also have food, gelato, pastries, and now serve cocktails. I cannot wait to give the cocktails a try. You will also struggle to find a place with nicer employees. It is just a nice, unique place to visit. Put everything together and you have a staple on Long Island and a place New Yorker's should be proud of. read more

Solid coffee spot located in scenic Greenport not far from the water. I came here in the late afternoon and it was still decently busy, with most of the outdoor tables occupied. There was a bit of a line when I first got there but it moved quickly. I ordered a cold brew here and just wanted a small, but they only serve one size here so I went with it. The price was what you'd expect in this part of LI, and it was decently strong which I was happy with. This isn't the type of coffee shop you come to do work at, it's more of a sit and chat before you go on your way to the other shops. The bathroom line here was also constantly busy during my visit, since I guess this is one of few spots to pee at on Greenport's main strip. Overall, decent coffee spot. read more
