Starbucks is Starbucks. As a chain, I love it for it's consistency and wide availability. For coffee, it's just okay. Not my favorite, but I end up at a Starbucks about once a month for convenient caffeination. I stopped at this Starbucks with a small group heading from San Francisco to Yosemite. We all went straight to the bathrooms which were clean. We all ordered and enjoyed our drinks. The baristas were working hard, but still took the time for small talk about our upcoming adventure as they prepared our drinks. It was a busy location, and conveniently located right off the highway. Even with our van full of people needing caffeine and their normal weekday morning customers, our drinks were all correct and prepared in a reasonable amount of time. Great visit! read more

Comfortable and friendly. However, our cashier wasn't very helpful. We asked "What teas do you have?" And he answered "What kind of tea do you want?" PET PEEVE RIGHT HERE. If I'm asking what teas you have, it's cause I don't know what I want. Maybe if I was at some tea place like Teavana that'd be okay, but come on, there're like six teas to choose from. Where to start,where to start. LA Migra was on a business trip to Turlock a once sleepy farming town in California's Central Valley. Home of Cal-State Stanislaus, Turlock is a classic study of "The Tale of Two Cities". The northern end of town, where this Starbucks is located is dominated by students and faculty from the aforementioned school. Once know as "Turkey Tech" because of the local turkey processing industry and the annual turkey races the college held the first 30 years of their existence, it's now populated with an over abundance of "students" who ere rejected by First Tier Universities like Stanford and Cal, and Second Tier Universities like San Diego State and Cal State Fullerton. If Higher Education had a "Short Bus", it would circle Stanislaus State with ice cream man music blaring. Which brings us to Starbucks. Jasmine was working the register. Jasmine acted like the resident Activities Director than a simple barista. When La Mirga entered the store, which was a Foster Farmers Fried Chicken Restaurant in it's heyday, and there were half a dozen people in line ordering rinks. Jasmine, who's about 5'1" had to make sure she grilled everyone about their day, their life, their academic achievements, their likes and dislikes. It took 20 exhausting minutes to actually get to work his way thru the line to get the honor of standing before the Grand Inquisitor Jasmine. La Migra ordered his traditional drink. Cup. Ice. Tea. No double decaf, no soy filler, no whipped cream, no sweetener, no water. Simple. Cup. Ice. Tea. You get it. After a good 2 minutes of repeating his order to a rather perplexed looking Jasmine, she whips out her trusty grease pencil and scratches some hieroglyphics on the side of a cup. 10 minutes later a rather fetching young lady motions for La Migra to return to the counter. The young lady had to have me decipher Jasmine's "writing". After receiving his drink, La Mirga posted up in a corner and quietly enjoyed his drink while observing the other customers and their faux-cosmopolitian behavior. Needed a pick-me-up for my drive home back to Fresno. Popped in at 9:30pm to get a decaf coffee. Baristas were nice and the store was clean. My coffee was a bit unorthodox as I asked to add kerrygold butter to it. The baristas asked me about this noting that lately they have had customers asking for butter in the coffee. We got into a quick discussion about why I add butter to it. Would come back to this location when in town. read more

One of my personal favorite employees there is Yeli, she's so social with us customers and she takes the orders greatly. I love this Starbucks. The employees are very nice. The place is clean as well. My one complaint that is major is how small it is. Going there in the afternoon is kind of a drag if you want to stay because there is not many places to sit or not many outlets available. I do appreciate this establishment though. read more

I don't usually give a bad review for Starbucks as they have been, in my opinion, consistently good wherever. I was traveling through Turlock and had spent the night at a local motel. Found this local Starbucks for my morning jolt. Ordered a venti triple low-fat latte. When my drink was ready I walked to my car and took a sip, getting mostly foam. Oh well...so I got on the freeway and tried it again. I could not taste coffee. It tasted like nothing. I let it sit in my cup holder. When I exited the freeway later, I noted that the sticker on my cup said triple non-fat (not low fat). When I took the lid off, the foam now gone, all I had was warm non-fat milk. Oh swell read more

I just had the rudest Starbucks experience. :( I used to work customer service so I always make an effort to be nice, and this guy was just rude for no reason! Less than pleased with this location on there customer service. I expected a higher value of service considering this is a bigger location. I ordered a camel mocha frap and a pumpkin bread. And waited for a while before asking is this mine , that had been sitting on the table for a few. Like what most of every review here, the workers are so fucken slow, even when it's not busy. I know that they only have one blender, but i had seriously had to wait for sooooo long so the point that i was almost late to work. I had already order my drink before this group of people and i was surprised to see that they had their BLENDED drinks before I got mine. I also asked for extra carmel but it barely has any caramel drizzle. My coworker used to work here and she told me that they had a meeting about how to improve their services, and honestly if they really want to compete with other competitors, get 2 or 3 more blenders, train the worker to move their fucken feet, and make the drinks right! read more
