The coffee doesn't have that acrid acidity (which means its got some cheap beans thrown in for heft), doesn't get that smokiness (which implies old beans a la Starbucks), just a smooth Coffee experience. yes the owner is picky about GREAT coffee and no you wont get a soy latter snicker doodle flavor in a "Venti" cup. But what you will get is coffee that you can smell from a mile away and a flavor that doesn't need any extra "stuff" to add complexity. Plus he sells coffee ground to your specifications (i.e. if you want coffee for a french press, a drip coffee machine or an expresso, or just want the beans). Did I mention that he makes each cup to order. Yup folks, when you ask for a coffee, he makes you a cuppa on a "pour over" coffee contraption while explaining his signature blend.
