I tried this spot for their coffee since it popped up as somewhere to go on Yelp. The coffee was super fresh and it was sweet, but not too sweet if that makes sense. Service was really quick. The actual location is packed the day that we went. There was a bunch of people here there's plenty of seating for everyone. There's also a cute photo opportunity kind of towards the back that has this really cute sign. The workers were friendly and were really quick surprisingly. They also offer food here which I don't think I saw when I first looked it up. A few people had Chilaquiles and they looked really good. Definitely recommend their coffee, but would love to try their food if I'm ever in the area again. read more

Dare I say the best coffee in the 209??? Hola Cafecito is the most perfect addition to main street Merced. The coffee, the culture, the vibes, the service! I have zero complaints. I try to make it here every trip home because it is so damn good. Let's start with the goods: the dirty horchata is done very well. Not overly sweet but you actually taste the rice & cinnamon and all the things that make horchata wonderful. The only thing that would make it better is if they offered this dairy free but minor detail! I will suffer lol The cafe con leche is delic! Brown sugar & cinnamon, another unbeatable combo. You really can't go wrong with any drink here. Not only is the space beautiful but the staff is super kind. Place is cute, service is okay. But my review today is for their drinks. I ordered a cold brew with brown vanilla and a splash of half n half. The most disappointing $7 drink ever! I can tell that they make their syrups in house which is great but it seems like in this case their brown vanilla tastes more like burnt vanilla. When making their syrup they must've let the sugar burn a bit. They may be thinking the "brown" in the name would disguise the flavor so they still put it out this way?? A little pricey but I'll blame inflation and chalk it up to small business staying in business donation . I won't pay this at Starbucks but a small chain.. ok. Seating? Plenty. That's great. The matcha was amazing and the barista was very good, I can appreciate that it's not pre sweetened or light green. Being a first time customer, the staff was very kind and helpful in helping me choose my drink. I went with the Iced Mazapan Latte (20oz) with Oat Milk, which was highly recommended by friends and staff. The drink was delicious! I paid $10 including tip and honestly, I would pay more for the great taste, high quality coffee, and smooth finish! Hola Cafecito provides Almond and Oat options in addition to their standard milk and cold foam. The ambiance of the cafe is so beautiful! I went at a fairly busy time in the afternoon, and I was still able to get a table to sip my drink. I wanted to love this place. Tried 3 different times and each time felt let down. The service is great and friendly, the building itself is awesome. The coffee and matcha is just not good in my opinion. I tried protein coffee, matcha, and an iced americano and each of them unfortunately let me down especially for the price. The matcha was the biggest let down they either do not use enough powder to milk or they are using a poor quality matcha. So disappointing because like I said I really love the atmosphere and staff just can't justify spending that much on drinks I do not enjoy :( read more

Such a cute place! Ambience is great when it's not super busy. I've had their regular matcha, Strawberry matcha, cafe de olla and my partner has had their mazapán latte and cold brew. I like their matcha but I think it's lacking that umami flavor. Maybe it's oxided? That or I'll ask for another scoop of matcha. Cafe de olla was great and less sweet than its other menu counterparts. My partner who just drinks black coffee tried the mazapán latte to be fun and he made a mistake haha. It was too sweet for him but he did say it had good flavor other than the chunks at the bottom? Likely not stirred/melted well. He appreciated the cold brew and came back for another. Unfortunately no gluten free options :( but it is Merced. As someone who can't do regular pastries/bread due to intolerances it's always nice to see the options.
