To start off i will say the prices for smoothies / açaí bowls are quite expensive for it being Merced. I came here maybe 2 years ago and thought the food was phenomenal + reasonably priced. Now it doesn't reflect that at all. It taste like something i can get from Jamba Juice or a fast food place that offers smoothies. Me and my friend came and ordered and it took 25 mins for our items to be complete ( we ordered 1 smoothie and 1 acai bowl) and it was just us ... I didn't even see them working on to go orders. We didn't finish our drink or bowl, again it just didn't taste good and I didn't like that the fruit was frozen. I was hoping for paying $13 + tax I could at least get fruit as toppings that aren't frozen. Idk I remember this place being really good, I just think since changing locations it doesn't reflect that at all :( read more

I definitely wouldn't recommend this spot to anyone who doesn't work in the building or nearby within walking distance. Or maybe just order ahead to save time. Parking is difficult to find and they take quite a while to make your order. I was hoping to grab a smoothie boost in the middle of a roadtrip and this place popped up on Yelp. Had I known it'd set my ETA back nearly 30 mins, I would not have stopped. Very strange as there were 4 employees working behind the counter on a Saturday, yet it seemed they were only collectively making 1 order at a time rather than each employee tackling an order themselves. Very inefficient. I also was confused by the menu as they had many more items and flavors posted online than they did on the physical menus at their counter--those of which were much less enticing than the flavors listed online. And since it's a counter inside of what seemed to be a co-working space, bathrooms are not accessible and there are very few tables to sit at, so don't plan on dining or bringing your laptop to work while having a snack or smoothie. read more

This place was a great find in old town area. They have many different types of smoothies and juices as well as bowls and there's a flavor for everyone. I tried the Horchata smoothie and it was delightful. Even though it was a cold and blustery day I enjoyed my smoothie on the couch and waited for the sky to clear up a bit before heading back out in it. The smoothies aren't inexpensive but fresh ingredients and quality are the key here. You can tell as soon as you come in, it smells amazing like fresh fruit. I moved out here from the Bay where juice bars are a dime a dozen, so to find one in a small town didn't give me much hope that it would compare, but it's one of the best I've had. The staff was extremely helpful with my special order ( ordering a big batch of custom juice). When you order something custom they have a next day pick up which was fine with me, I was able to go back and get some more of their seasonal watermelon juice which is amazing. COVID-19 phase: This place is hard to find. Took some hunting! The worker was very kind and masked. They are required too! It is literally a little booth right next to Revello's. I ordered their super food acai bowl with natural vanilla protein w/ blueberries added and almond butter on the side. My mother ordered the same, but without the natural protein. The worker was masked and extremely nice. She said it would be 20 minutes and she would bring the order out to the car. There are chairs and a seating area that is all outside if you want to enjoy. My husband is a surgeon, who is also Whole-Food Plant Based (WFPB) due to its anti-inflammatory and cardiovascular benefits. My biggest stress is finding healthy meal options for my family. We were staying at El Capitan Hotel on Memorial Day Weekend and my sister referred me to check out the Kind Neighbor Juice Bar. We literally had to only cross the street from El Capitan Hotel, so it was very convenient. The location inside the BitWise Building was clean, trendy, with beautiful, colorful art on immense walls. I was pretty mesmerized. It had a 2-3 small tables and a comfortable couch. Another huge health perk is that the majority of their ingredients are organic ! My husband ordered a Green Bowl which he excitedly personalized with flaxseed, ginger and fresh tumeric (which is only a few of the multitude of healthy additives they offer) . My kids , 13 and 11 years old, and I and also found great plant-based smoothie options that tasted great, fresh, and left us full and energized for 3-4 hours. I had the Chocolate Protein Smoothie in case you were curious. We also took fresh, pressed juices on-the-go. In particular, the I AM FOCUSED juice that had beet, orange , apple, celery and ginger was one my husband wanted to order again. We actually wanted to know if we could order their juices online, which we can, but we reside in Southern California so to deliver or pickup would be problematic . We did prefer to walk over to their quaint location. The cashier, and workers behind the counter were humble and respectful. They were genuinely friendly. Kind Neighbor's mission statement is healthy food preventing chronic illness. Rocio Gonzalez, the founder, is a genius to be able to incorporate the gustatory senses with a healthy, for the most part, organic meal. Even, though her location is small currently, her vision for contributing to the health of our community is large, commendable and worthy of admiration of the two doctors who would love to reside close to her location. I guess this just means we will be visiting Merced more frequently and excited to try all their menu and explore creating our own concoctions in the future. read more
