This location is a great addition to the shopping and eateries in the area. It moved from the lobby only location that had previously been directly across the street. The inside is huge and spacious and very inviting. The drive thru is fast and the baristas are friendly. Drinks are always made correctly. Food items too. I can usually mobile order near the Tempe Marketplace and pick up my order via the drive thru before hopping on the freeway for my in-laws to have dinner and play some games. Asked them to remake it, and it still came out the same. My matcha was very grainy and not at all mixed into my beverage. I asked for light ice, but got a normal amount. I'm very sad because I've never had this issue with any other location. I had to stare at my large drink all day at work :( I could've rly used the energy boost during the busy Friday rush at my job. And every now and then, they'll release something I just have to try. On this visit, I got the Chocolate Pistachio Loaf, Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha, and the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato. The Chocolate Pistachio Loaf wasn't warmed here and I didn't realize what a big difference it makes. This second time getting the loaf wasn't as good as the first. I think I'm over it now. As for the Ice Dubai Chocolate Matcha, while I still don't think it hits the Dubai Chocolate craving, it's a good drink. As for the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato, it was good but definitely leans more towards coconut than ube (Or "Oob" as the social media video will tell you). That said, it's a decent location. It's disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism at a business that is supposed to value its customers. I go to alot of Starbucks and this one is very convenient. The Baristas do a great job providing fast, professional service. This location is older, smaller, has no drive thru and the internet Wi-Fi doesn't work well. I would normally give it 3.5 stars for those negatives. However, I am bumping up to 5 stars since this is the first Starbucks I've ever been to with a plaque on the wall honoring a deceased regular customer. My first stop when I came to visit my colleagues on my work trip. Came here to bring my colleagues morning drinks since I had a per diem. :) Atmosphere - 4/5 - Typical Starbucks location. The drive thru was quick. Staff - 5/5 - Friendly and helpful. I forgot to grab my receipt, so I had to come back later in the day. They were able to quickly reprint my receipt with no problem. Loved that. Food/Drink - 4/5 - Black Tea - Extra Sugar - 4/5 - I love really sweet things, and I wished it could have been sweeter. I am actually afraid to know the amount of sweetener was in my tea, but ignorance is bliss. I LOVED the old location across the street. It was some of the best customer service I've experienced. Baristas greeted many customers by name. However, it just moved (March 2024) and my first visit was disappointing, though the inside looks nice. I ordered pickup mobile, so easy right? When I asked for a carrier for my 4 drinks and food, the annoyed barista did me a favor by pointing them out where I could reach them myself. It's 7am, I hoped this would be prime time service. Other employees stood in the corner chatting. Bacon sandwich had such little bacon I thought it was missing. Will only be back in coffee emergency. The location itself is in a strip with some other shops, so this would be a good place to stop off and grab a coffee before shopping around. The inside is decently set up, but there is an extremely limited number of seats for the busy-ness level they face. They do have some extra seating outside, with misters to help cool it off in the hot summer months. The staff was nice and friendly. The drinks were well made and tasted as per usual. Did you know that Starbucks now offers free Wifi? You no longer have to pay to surf the net here. Amazing! I've been going to various Starbucks for years. Surprisingly, I've never been to this location before, because I am usually at Goldbar right across the parking lot. Recently, I found out from another Starbucks that they've dropped the charges for thier internet service. So, since I was a little burnt out on going to Goldbar, I decided to mix things up and come here for a change. The interior seating is limited. Not a whole lot of places to sit, especially if your trying to plug your computer in like myself. There is seating outside, but I try to avoid it in the summer if I can, even with the spritzers. I placed my order for an Arnold Palmer. After I paid, I sat down at my computer and waited for my drink....and waited some more...and more waiting. It wasn't until another customer told me that my drink was ready that I was even aware that the drink was done and just sitting on the counter. I was sitting, literally, right in front of the register! How could they not have annouced that my drink was ready? I sat there for a good 5 minutes! Its hot outside! I'd like my drink! Normally, I stand by the bar area and wait for my drink, and they will annouce when its done. Not here! Minus points for that, especially considering I was sitting right there! Anyways, I will probably be back to this location, but only as a back up to when A) Goldbar is full and I need to get online, or B) when I'm sick of Goldbar and need a change of pace. Not great, but not awful. This is your typical Starbucks. It's usually pretty average, however the last few times my coffee has tasted burnt. One time, they warned me saying it was the bottom of the batch but the two subsequent times I have not received such a disclaimer. Also, my recent Pumpkin Spice latte tasted strange, and my friend said it tasted like hot chocolate. Not good, but not awful. There is limited seating inside, but the patio makes up for it with various groupings of tables and chairs. I always see folks hanging out and talking - what I like to see at a coffee shop. No drive-thru, which is a let-down, though I like being forced to enjoy the full Starbucks experience sometimes. A free drink shouldn't result in a customer having to check the history of their account then contacting customer service to get money that's rightfully theirs. Grungy white guy with messy hair is very hard to communicate with, which is problematic when you work in customer service. I ordered, he got my order wrong, I asked for the item i was waiting for and he simply refused to explain. His back was to me the entire time. I asked about the missing item i ordered and had been waiting for and he just said, "it's over there" and i said no it isn't and he said (after I had walked back-and-forth several times) "then i didn't ring that up." What? You mean you got my order wrong? So I got back in line talked to a different employee. As he was working behind the counter I stopped him and said, "hey, you know you could've just told me." He pointed to the other counter. He said he didn't ring it up. At no point in time did he say he messed up and there was a miscommunication. read more

So I received super service from Caity(hope i got that spelling correct.... sorry to her if not!) She was extremely friendly and efficient. She also kept herself busy. I was there for quite a while and experienced a couple rushes which they both(her and her coworker) handled quickly. When it was slow though i specifically noticed Caity making sure everything was restocked and clean. If there is time to lean there is time to clean! Go Caity! The morning staff at this Starbucks are amazing. My mobile order is ready every single time and made to perfection. There are a lot of people that hang out in this Starbucks so seating can be limited. My only gripe is the lack of electrical outlets. Again, a lot of people hang out here and the two seats with outlets are the first to go. Maybe look into getting additional outlets or strips put outside for more people to plug in while they work. Other than that, I love this location and have been coming here almost daily for two years. read more
