After a 3-hour plus hike at South Mountain, I was looking for a snack on a Saturday evening. I…read morehopped on the trusty Yelp app, and found that Robeks Fresh Juices & Smoothies wasn't a far drive from the park. I made my way over and parked in the lot they share with Nothing Bundt Cakes and several other businesses. While it's a busy shopping center, I didn't have trouble snagging free parking. Ambiance (3/5): Robeks is pretty much a grab-and-go spot. There's a counter inside, but not seating. Directly outside of the juice and smoothie bar, there are two or three tables. I sat outside after my order was ready. Service (3/5): Service isn't a big part of the experience. You order at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready. The employee working wasn't too friendly and didn't seem like he wanted to be there. All good. It happens. Drinks (N/A): While they have a good number of smoothies, I went with an acai bowl instead. Food (2/5): I'll start things off by saying I'm a big acai bowl fan. I've had them at so many locations that I've lost count. This was the worst acai bowl I had. I went with one of their seasonal selections that had an acai base, strawberries, bananas, "granola," and honey. Man, where to start. The acai base was on the lower side quality wise compared to what I've had pretty much elsewhere. I even found an ice cube in my acai. That was a first. The "granola," rather than being the standard granola you have everywhere, was partially rice krispies or something similar to that. I was super confused. And then when it came to the fruit, there were a total of five strawberry slices in my bowl. That's less than one strawberry. I don't know if I caught them on an off night or if this is the norm. Robeks has several locations across town. If you download their app, you get a discount on your first purchase. Which I'll think about doing. Outside of that, I don't think I'll return.

It was advertised as ceremonial grade, but the taste and color didn't reflect the quality that is typically associated with that. If you look up what ceremonial grade matcha means and looks like, what InFruition is selling doesn't even come close. I also think my original 1 star review was fair considering that's the whole point of yelp. Reviews are meant to reflect honest experiences. If I had seen someone else's honest review of the drink I likely would have ordered something else. As for returning it, no one wants to have to do that. It's awkward and an extra step after already being disappointed. I appreciate the offer for a refund but won't be needing it.

I've only had one really good açai bowl in Arizona every other one I've tried hasn't been as good so I was kind of nervous. This one I was able to choose and customize the toppings so on my bowl, I got the açai base and on top. I had granola strawberry blueberry and pineapple. The girl at the front said everything was fresh, but being a chef, I kind of felt like the pineapple may have been from a can. Other than that, the rest of the fruit tasted good. I didn't eat the blueberries though. I was disappointed in the açai base taste. It tasted more of like a smoothie mix with a lot of bunch of different things versus just açai eat. I guess the base does have different fruits in it, so it's not your normal açai which threw me off. I probably won't come back here for an açai bowl, but I will come back here to try their other flavors, including some of their smoothies. I'm only reading this at three because the açai evil didn't taste like an açai evil and there wasn't even really any sweetness. I don't think they put Honey in it. I think they put some type of dragon fruit syrup or something like that.

On this occasion, I got the super fruit bowl, which was really good and lower in sugar than some of the other bowls. I also grabbed the original mini açaí bowl for my husband. In hindsight, we probably could've just shared the original size and cut that in half. Overall, it was really good. I probably would've preferred more fruit as it seemed like you got the same amount of fruit whether you got the mini bowl or the original so I would've liked to see more of a fruit layer to be incorporated in the bowl that I got however I'm sold and I'll be back to try more.
