I'm making an exception for this place, because it's literally the best airport café I've ever been to in any part of the world. But as a disclaimer I have never been to any of the chain locations outside the airport. The service is great, the atmosphere and small corner feels removed from the intense activity in the rest of the airport, and service was great and quick. I was super surprised at how tasty the tea and chai were. And the egg and potato burrito airport, priced and size, but so tasty I would absolutely buy again. Drinks are so good, we actually went back to buy refills.

There's a large parking lot, but I could see parking being a challenge during peak hours. The "shack" is charming and the interior is vibrant and inviting. Seating is limited inside but there's more outside. The staff was friendly and helpful. The menu had a variety of enticing options, but I went with the staff's recommendation of El Paisano sandwich and my son ordered the El Chicano sandwich. I also got an iced almond milk latte with honey and cinnamon powder and my son got an iced Americano. My El Paisano was very tasty. It usually comes with chorizo, but I requested it without. Without the chorizo, the only protein left is an egg, which isn't enough for me so I should have asked for an additional egg on my sandwich. My latte was solid. My son liked his sandwich and Americano as well. We enjoyed sitting outside, taking advantage of the lovely patio weather we had back in May. They have a complimentary water station which was a thoughtful touch.

I asked him, "Do you think I want a mocha?" and without hesitation he said yes! We both laughed, and then he suggested adding vanilla, which had me completely sold. Then he started talking to my daughter about a couple of other drink options, and wow--he had me reconsidering my whole order! My daughter reminded me that I don't like prickly pear, but Hunter kindly let me sample it anyway. Sure enough, I still didn't like it--but he made it sound so delicious and refreshing that I almost believed I would! We left already planning our next visit just to see Hunter again. If you get the chance to have an encounter with him, take it! He truly knows the products and how to market them. And most importantly--the drinks were excellent!!!

Not only do they serve up a perfect cappuccino, but they also pride themselves on roasting their own beans, and that attention to quality really shows in every sip. The barista was knowledgeable and professional, and the outdoor seating was comfortably shaded even during midday. Parking was easy, too. A great spot for excellent coffee and a relaxed vibe in Tempe.

I've only heard great things and it was such a pleasure to make a visit. The interior is ultra modern, and art-centered. On a Wednesday morning, there was one staff member holding it down and a wait/line with about 5-6 people, so the wait was about 15-20 minutes in total-- including ordering and waiting for drinks. There was mainly only paid street parking options, but it wasn't hard to find any right in front of the shop. I got two drinks: Más and Abeja, to try their matcha and coffee, and really thoroughly enjoyed both. The matcha is a little bit on the milkier side, but I did enjoy that it was completely unsweetened, and leaned on the vanilla cold foam for a light sweetness. I think I enjoyed the coffee more personally, as the honey paired super well with the espresso and oat milk. The espresso is very good. I would come back if I was in the area, I just wish the parking situation was a little different!

I'd say the match was on the not to sweet side and my drink needed a bit more cardamon (it was light in taste).
