This Starbucks location saved the day. After having a pretty whatever coffee, I was seeking out something decent. Luckily for me, this Starbucks was open in the hotel I was staying at. Moreover, if you're staying at the hotel, you get 10% off, plus the added bonus of being treated as if you're in a regular Starbucks, so you can get points and the like. Anyway, ordered a hot white chocolate mocha to go and it was sheer perfection. I have to say, I don't write reviews often, but I have been to a lot of Starbucks on this globe, and this location in Tampa, on E. Kennedy's is the BEST, by far. They are so welcoming and work together like a well oiled machine and really get through those long lines without much wait at all! The store is always clean and looks beautiful. Their top-employee would be Michael, as he is the most pleasant, helpful, and cheerful person ever who always goes above and beyond for everyone! I hope Starbucks recognizes and shows their appreciation for his attributes to their business!! He makes us want to go back every day! This is by far the worst experience I've had at Starbucks. I ordered an Iced matcha with oat milk, 2 pumps brown sugar, 2 pumps vanilla. They were out of oat milk due to supply chain issues which was fine. I switched it out for almond. After the first two sips, I was immediately turned off by the taste. I love matcha, I literally drink it daily. This however was watered down and slightly bitter. I asked the cashier to switch the drink and he said no because I already drank from it. I'm sorry, how else would I know I don't like a drink unless I try it?? He said I can pay for another drink but that's ridiculous considering I barely drank the first one. I ended up getting a Frappuccino which to my surprise was also just as bad. I'm honestly shocked by the short and rudeness of the cashier. read more

I took 3 sips of my drink and asked the barista for a refund. He said he couldn't give me a refund because I tried my drink. I wandered into this Starbucks because my car was in an auto shop nearby. The service was excellent, particularly the barista Patrick, who was friendly, helpful and made me feel great even when I couldn't quite decide what I wanted and then realized I had left my wallet in the car. I've been eagerly watching the construction and anticipating the opening of this new Starbucks Coffee Shop and the Hampton Inn High Rise Hotel which houses this Starbucks in the north side of Channelside in Downtown Tampa off Kennedy and Meridian next to Kennedy Grand Central, Slade, the Fitzgerald, Crunch, Maloneys, and the Hideaway Sushi bar. While Starbucks Coffee shop is a chain and there is a hipster coffee shop by the name of Ginger Beard Coffee next door inside the Pour House bar, it's always nice to have more options in the immediate area. Nothing says North Channelside has made it like the addition of a Starbucks and a Publix Supermarket that has been talked about for years. After all, who doesn't want to splurge with the new iced cocoa cloud machiato and a double smoked sausage, gouda, and egg sandwich topped with sriracha while listening to classy jazz music with a great view of Downtown? I enjoyed both here! There is ample comfy plush seating indoors to lounge out and study or surf the web or relax with free wifi. On my visit there were 6 patrons in the shop and no line. I was able to order without a wait and got my drink and sandwich in under 5 minutes which was quite ideal! My server was friendly and quick! I wanted to be the first to welcome this Starbucks to the North Channelside neighborhood! I look forward to many more splurges in the days to come! read more

I've been here twice, and each time my drink has been wrong, when it's marked correctly on the cup. Each time I seem to have someone at the register who also can't find buttons or has a hard time just ringing the order in for one drink. If you are looking for efficiency and accuracy, god forbid you are in a rush, I definitely wouldn't come here. Anytime I have a suggested food item from someone who is in good shape I have to try it. The combination of egg whites, peppers, and seasoning cooked to perfection created a party in my mouth. I walked in tonight with my boyfriend at 5:59 to get tea and the employees say "we are actually closing" I understand business may be slow but this is the second time this has happened. What's the point of having a convenient Starbucks downstairs from my apartment if they are closing by the time I'm getting off work. It didn't help that I was getting tea because I wasn't feeling well and didn't want to have to go to the store. This store has a lot of work to do because not only are they closing early, I wanted to try these bantam bagels everyone is raving about. Not knowing how many come in an order I asked for two orders and a coffee, I get charged about $12 and I only get two single bagels.
