I'm not sure if more training would help but it's been clear to me that the staff needs some overseeing. And no, it was not busy and yes, there was plenty of staff, 5 that I could see. Not to mention the refund that I was promised, not one i asked for btw but one they decided to give me because they couldn't deliver what I ordered, and I never received it. She went to the cash register and did something, just not what she said she was going to do. Not sure what happened but.... Flavorful peri peri chicken and warm service near Travis Air Force Base!…read more I went inside on a weekday for a late lunch after the gym. I was able to park close to the entrance. I was greeted right away when I walked through the door. The order counter was right in front of the door and the interior looked clean and simple. The ladies behind the counter, Wilma and Anne, were so nice, welcoming, and took the time to explain the menu options to me. I liked how they were able to adjust the spice level to my liking. When I took a bite of the chicken, the spice was just right. I also appreciated how they let me sample the rice cake Anne made. It was a warm and tasty hand-sized bibingka. I added extra butter on the rice cake when I got home and it made it even tastier. I ordered the peri peri chicken with garlic rice and their house-made pickled cucumbers and red onions ($13). I received 2 big skinless, boneless grilled chicken thighs with basmati garlic rice and the pickled veggies on the side. The whole meal was so big! I thought I could finish it all in one sitting, but the bibingka must've made me too full to eat it all. So I saved the other half for later. Everything went well together and the chicken was so flavorful and juicy. You could taste the love, effort, and quality ingredients in the meal. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying the loaded fries and one of their drinks! From their site, I learned they are coming up with a cilantro chicken soon. Can't wait to try that too! Happy to support a local veteran, woman, and Filipino owned business!

I shared my cilantro chicken with my friend and had some of the peri peri chicken and their loaded fries too. The peri peri sauce was at the mixed level. A mild kick that was delicious. It added a refreshing element. The cucumbers were lightly pickled.

Lately, my husband and I have been coming here for their cream cheese rolls, which are very similar to the ones from Porto's (but dare I say, better?). They have a taro version of this same roll that is also really good! A few of our other favorites include the guava cheese strudel, choco bun, sugared cream cheese brioche, cheese dog, and the spicy sausage bread. For drinks, we pretty much stick to any of their sea salt series. I'm bummed they don't sell oolong tea anymore, but I've just replaced that with a sea salt black tea which I think is part of their standard menu. Really convenient to have an 85 in Fairfield, so I can avoid going over the bridge to get some yummy pastries, and boba if I feel like it!

Ordering is easy and accessible from the website they provide here / on Instagram. They had a good amount of options like your classic Matcha or Hojicha latte, but also had special items like their Mango Sticky Rice and Tokyo Fog (earl grey latte with matcha cream). You can choose your preferred sweetness and milk (whole or oat). Prices are a bit pricy from $9. Pick up directions were given through email and very clear! Really enjoyed their Tokyo Fog. Their Earl Grey Latte was very creamy with the matcha foam and had a strong tea flavor. My favorite and would definitely order this again. Their Strawberry Matcha was good as well, but I'd suggest getting less ice next time. Definitely more of a umami flavor and the strawberry was more on the sweeter puree side. Would recommend to those in the area or passing through (:
