This place is too busy for my taste. People who enjoy a lively coffee shop, might find this more to their desires. It's nice to drink a cup of coffee, reading a book, but the noise interferes with what's left of my concentration. Parking please be mindful and aware. Some of this depends on when you visit here. Really nice employees. They get a lot of orders knocked out in no time! Also the efficiency at the register is solid. If you can find a place to sit down, you are remarkably lucky. This Starbucks has been a hangout place for many of the locals ever since I can remember. I don't pass thru this area very frequently these days, but each ti.e that I come hwre, there are always people hanging out, indoors and outside. Its definitely a busy store. I think there have been only a couple of occasions that I have stayed more than am hour, and its always been very relaxing. No loud music or crazy people. Today I ordered the grande Hazlenut Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and in less than three minutes I was back in the road to work. I've tried this drink a couple times before and its really awesome tasting. My other favorite is their White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew coffee. read more

May I suggest you guys add more people to the afternoon shifts. I come here a lot on the am and have started to drop in around 3-5ish. There's always two People working with lots of people waiting. I waited so long one day I just asked for a refund. This is a nice store with great workers and it's usually clean. Very convenient on the way to my office. But man!!! Please hire so more workers. Also because there not enough workers they sometimes have an attitude when you ask for your order which I understand (but it's not nice to take it out on us) bc they are short staffed. read more

Luckily I was stopped at a red light. What if the coffee was scorching hot, I would've burned myself. And at least dry the lip of the cup before putting on the lid. I actually am NOT a fan of their coffee but my Aunt (bless her heart) continues to gift and regift (she's a teacher) Starbucks gift cards she receives to me, so occasionally, I find myself at one. I came on a Monday during Thanksgiving week around 8 AM and it was not very busy. I always just get the same thing (I know boring)-black coffee. I tried the Holiday blend and it was fine for the caffeine intake, not so much for the taste. Trying to use up multiple gift cards that I've had for at least 2 years, I also ordered a turkey bacon breakfast sandwich. It was ok, I suppose, but not very filling. As long as I have gift cards I will keep returning to Starbucks despite it not being my favorite. read more

It's a Starbucks...they were a little slow simply because they were packed...like 15 people in line with only one cashier. We ordered a triple shot white chocolate mocha and a Tall chai latte. I didn't write a review before, but this is the second time where a soy latte was ordered and got one with a different kind of milk instead (it was picked up by a friend--I'm disabled). Last time it was skim milk and I could not drink it because I'm lactose intolerant. This time it was almond milk, which was not what I wanted but was tolerable, but had I had a nut allergy, it could have been life-threatening. I know the baristas are under a lot of pressure, but if they're going on what they think they heard instead of what's on the label, why bother with the labels at all? It doesn't exactly inspire confidence in their ability to provide the drink that I ordered. It makes me think twice about patronizing this particular Starbucks, that's for sure. read more

Dear Starbucks-- Shame on you. A man (who sits at your exterior tables daily) verbally sexually assaulted me. When I expressed boundaries (with kindness), he proceeded to chase me into the store and verbally assault me (using f bombs) 10 more times. The manager did nada until I asked her to. I asked her to call the police and/or security. She apologized but did not follow-up in any other way. As I was leaving and picking up my tea, a make shift lead proceeded to tell me that they would give the man who assaulted me a warning but would not ban him UNTIL HE DID IT AGAIN. He admitted that this was due to their recent bad press and the fact that I am white and the man who assaulted me is black. He went on to say that he disagrees with this decision and would speak to their general manager. . Beyond cowardly and disgraceful...the fact that a woman (a paying customer nonetheless) can be verbally assaulted TWICE at your store and you're going to give this individual a warning is PR mayhem at best. read more

I wish I could avoid this location but I park in this lot regularly so I walk right by it both morning and evening. The staff just does the minimum and nothing more. I ask for simple things that every other Starbucks does without a second glance but not this one. It's always "we ran out, we don't do that, those are only here at 7 am, try later". My favorite is they told me to try another Starbucks. I'm here!? Why would I drive to another Starbucks?! Or "That's only a summer drink." Really? I am not even there when the line is out the door. I received my order quickly but it was not what I ordered. I ordered a sweet cream cold brew and the majority of it was cream. I couldn't even taste the coffee. I told them I wanted it redone with much more coffee and showed them the picture. The staff was rude and proceeded to tell me next time I should order it differently and that it won't ever look like the picture. This is my typical order at Starbucks and I've never had an issue at another location. When she remade the drink she started slamming doors and said something to another employee. I used to frequent this Starbucks often. It's never super clean but it's also not filthy. When I visited on 12/21 there was a roach walking across the front counter. I alerted the cashier, she wasn't surprised and didn't bat an eye, didn't even move to kill it. It was gross and I'll never EVER visit this location again. read more

I stopped in here for a quick drink on my way home from lunch on 11-24-2019. I'm not a usual patron, but I had a gift card and figured that I would treat myself. :) I had been nice all week. LOL. I ordered a tea, but I wanted it to be sweet. So, the person behind the counter gave me 12 pumps of "Liquid Cn Sugar" which I think means "liquid cane sugar." Here's what my order looks like on my receipt: Vt Ic Pch Gt Lem" which I think means "large peach green tea with lemon." In any event it was very good. I loved the carryout container and sturdy plastic straw!! No paper straws in VA!! I also found out that I had plenty of money left on my card for future visits. If not this Starbucks, then certainly another one with the same order!! read more

I'm a huge espresso fan but medium Starbucks fan in general. I've been to this one many times but this morning's experience was exceptionally poor. Ordered two quad espressos. Which were labeled as two doubles (with the excuse being 2x2=4 which confused the barista). So my drinks came out wrong. They remade them but put me at the end of a long queue. When they came out the second time one of them was in a leaky cup. I noticed immediately and didn't touch it. About half of it had leaked onto the counter by the time I mentioned it to the barista. She simply poured the remnants of my drink into a new cup and sent me on my way. I took my half of a drink and found my way to another coffee shop. Now I know that pulling 4 shots for one drink is excessive. And I know that asking for two quads is really excessive. And I also know that 8:15am is crunch time at Starbucks. But come on... that's not even trying. I spend a lot of time in coffee shops (I am the guy who orders two quad espressos at a time). This was probably the worst coffee shop experience I've ever had. read more

I had to try the new flavour, Chile Mocha. It was mildly spicy with a lovely chocolate-y flavour like Mexican Chili Hot Chocolate mixed with Starbucks Latte. It wasn't too sweet too...which is a pleasant surprise considering how sweet Starbucks flavoured drinks usually are. read more

Quick, efficient, clean. I always order the same thing at every Starbucks: Americano in a personal cup with steamed soy. They kept my travel mug clean, which was nice and unexpected. But when I was there (2-ish, thurs afteroon), the place was a little dirty. Floor under the milk/sugar station was obviously not swept in awhile. I didn't like the seating either. They don't have those big comfy chairs. Only 4 upholstered (but not big and comfy) chairs. Two are around a low table, the other 2 are pushed against the wall. There are 3 tall chairs at the bar. Management/Owner: it seems that proper customer service needs to be refreshed at this location. I had a negative experience this morning. Remind them that everybody does not know the products. I overheard 2 staff members speaking negatively about me while I was in the store. I approached them and spoke to both of them individually. I informed them that I heard them and that talking about a customer is unprofessional, negative and to stop doing it. Their issue is that when I placed the order, I added "and include everything that comes with it" I am not familiar with your products. My experience happened around 8:03 AM today. My order was from Check #715768 at Drawer 1 Register 1; My order was: 1Vt Caramel Crunch Frappe, 1 DS Bacon Sandwich, 1 Vt Pumpkin Latte, 3 warmed Almond Croissants. I was ordering for my son. I am not a Starbucks customer. My first experience was far less than desirable. I had to "ask" for a bag with the cup holder cardboard insert. One of the 2 ladies I am speaking of saw that I had 2 drinks to carry out in my hands. I asked for it. She did not assist me by placing the drinks inside the bag but said "oh, ok, here you go". The store was not busy at the time. There was 1 lady in the lobby other than me. I think customer interaction for brand new customers should be given. It is easy to spot new customers. They are uninformed on your products. A "properly" trained employee would quickly identify that. Neither of them said thank you, neither of them had a pleasant attitude, no smiles not even a fake smile. I did experience their negative attitude. Please train them on proper customer service. Kindness can be part of customer service even if it is fake. That is what they are paid for. They are the face and impression of Starbucks store 11153. After leaving, I was glad that I am not a coffee or latte person. If Yelp would allow zero stars, I would select that. The system requires a star selection. Due to that technicality you get one star. Although a DC area "Slug Line" is across the street, this place seems to have quite a number of regulars popping in for some "joe," resulting in personable customer relations. I was at this Starbucks location this morning and I would say that they aren't necessarily slow (because there was a huge line and not enough workers).. But I suggest they are more considerate to non-English speaking customers. The lady making the drink was asking a Latina woman 3 times what size drink she had ordered in a rude impolite manner (because they had forgot to make it/someone else mistook it for theirs possibly). I get that it was busy but to yell at someone who doesn't understand what you are saying is very upsetting for other customers. read more

I do not visit this Starbucks often but each time I do, they always make me feel like I'm a regular! The baristas are always upbeat and pleasant and seem to communicate well with each other. They have a good selection of other food items (some Starbucks seem to be hit or miss on this) and they manage the always long lines quickly and professionally without losing the personal touch. Probably the only negative is that there is very little seating area and what is there is usually always taken! I usually take my espresso to go for this reason. read more

I am not the biggest fan of Starbucks in general, but every once in a while I will grab a seasonal drink. For the most part, they make the drinks on par with just about any other Starbucks. My problem is the little things like grabbing Frap with a Affogato shot and having half of it (that I paid an extra .80 for) run down the sides of the cup and then having them hand you the cup with wiping it off. Seriously? These little things make me scratch my head. Other than that, the location is usually clean (although very busy in the mornings so I can understand if they are a little off while they are packed) and they have always been nice. Other than small things the location sucks if you are trying to park in front of Starbucks. It's better to park by CVS and just walk, at least in the morning when it is busy. read more
