The staff here are extremely nice and courteous. The atmosphere is also great. There is a fireplace and couch seating which makes for a cozy time. I highly recommend this place if you need a place to read or study early in the morning! Just wanted to mention once more that the employees here are wonderful. read more

I have gone to this location on my way to work several times. Every time I go, the women who works the drive thru (older, curly hair) is so RUDE. Today was the icing on the cake. Pull up, let her know I have a mobile order. She tells me to pull around, hands me my items and doesn't say a single word. Too busy with the person at the order box apparently. This isn't the 1st time. If I am paying this much for mediocre coffee, at least smile and say thanks. I am done with this location and will go out of my way to the other location. read more

So this is more of a corporate product issue I assume than the baristas issue. The new "oleato" coffee is at this location which is basically olive oil added to coffee, which in my personal option is super gross and I would never order. My issue is that I don't know if this comes down to the cleaning method not being good enough, or cross contamination happening, or whatever, but my coffee that I got today which was just a regular shaken espresso tasted really off and once it settled I realized it was because it had olive oil in it, which was really really gross. I don't know if this is just unavoidable even if f you use separate prep stuff but all goes in the same washer but I was very not happy to have olive oil in my regular coffee and wanted to share that's something to look out for. I will probably be avoiding all locations that offer the oleato from now on as I'm not sure there's a way to actually avoid cross contamination. read more

I never leave reviews but I feel compelled to leave one for this Starbucks. I waited in the lobby for 13 minutes to get a Jade citrus tea. 13 minutes. And I was the only person in the lobby with 3 workers. Two of them were working the drive thru, but I was ignored by the 3rd worker for 4 minutes after walking in and waiting to even be acknowledged. After my order was taken, I waited another 13 minutes for my tea. That's ridiculous! I was the only customer in the store for 17 minutes just to get a tea (boiling water and slap some tea bags in it). To not acknowledge a customer for 4 minutes and then to make them wait for another 13 minutes to make tea is just unacceptable. read more

I have always enjoyed coming to this Starbucks. Walk inside and you'll find it is not usually very busy, but the drive thru is busy! They have a great outdoor area and a cozy indoor seating area away from the bar with a fireplace. They usually get my drinks correct and are always polite! read more

WOW. This one is straight crazy. Preface: my little fam goes to Starbucks almost everyday so waaay too much. But we get basically the same thing every time. My wife's drink is a little tricky and there has been mistakes in the past but every other time the baristas apologize for not making the correct drink and then simply make a new corrected one. This time was diff. The barista told us no this is your drink, we told her sorry no but it should look different this happens sometimes. But she was adamant, telling us how the foam melts into the coffee and it should look this creamy. Well..I had to basically argue with her telling her no the drink is black cold brew on the bottom and just foam on top. She still didn't budge, another barista asked us if we wanted the barista that made it to EXPLAIN IT TO US. Are you F-ing kidding me. Finally they get on their little head sets and chat it out and agree to make us a new drink. Only this time...wait for it...the drink was made correctly!!!! It was dark black on bottom and white foam on top yay!!! So CLEARLY YOU MADE IT WRONG THE FIRST TIME SO WHY WOULD YOU ARGUE WITH ME THAT I DONT KNOW WHAT IM SAYING WHEN WE SPEND AT LEAST $30 EVERY OTHER DAY AT YOUR PLACE OF BUSINESS AND WE GET THE SAME DRINK EVERY TIIIIIMMMMMMEEEEE!!!!!! This is a generic Starbucks. The thing that sets it apart is the patio, indoor/outdoor fireplaces and friendly staff that never falters when you come in a caffeine craved lunatic. I'll often go if my car is being worked on down the street at Bickford Motors and have a coffee with a book. We frequent this Starbucks nearly every Saturday. The employees here are always so sweet and are always making sure you're happy with your drinks and food. It's in a very busy shopping center so parking can be hard to come by during the busier hours. Drove thru gets busy as well but they get the line moving smoothly. Be cautious while driving in and out of the drive thru. Both entrance and exit are located right next to parking spots and I've encountered many people not paying attention while backing out or driving through the parking lot. This is not a favorite location of mine. There is always something wrong. Today, I ordered two snacks out of the case and paid and drive thru actially took the snacks and gave them to their customer and I had to be refunded and got a simple sorry. Where is the customer service? I ordered first. Make it up to me that you screwed up! Nope. Nothing but a snicker and a sorry. This location is always out of desserts/treats. Not even noon on a Wednesday and all are practicaly gone. This location is not kid friendly either. Twice, I've seen and experienced old folks throw a hissy fit about children laughing and having a good time outside. Not even inside. Lake Stevens Starbucks has got to be the best location!!! I wish I could give this place zero stars, and sadly it's only due to one person who works there. The past few days I have been coming in here and there has been a young kid working at the register around this time (12:30), who seems to solely be in charge for orders and heating up food. EVERY TIME that I order something to eat, he literally just stands there and doesn't heat anything up or even grab the food out that I ordered. I have to stand around and wait for five minutes and then REMIND him that I ordered food and he goes "oh oops." Even though I literally just ordered it five minutes ago. Today, I ordered a food item from him and I waited for 8 minutes, just for another employee to tell me that it isn't even in stock and ask if I wanted something else. He watched me standing there for 8 minutes and didn't even remember to give me my food item, and then I find out it's not even in stock. So I wasted ten minutes waiting for food that I would'nt have got if it wasn't for another employee checking on me waiting. That kid needs to be transferred or put in the stock room. Absolutely don't want to come here anymore because of how miserable he makes my experience. I'm young also and I get having a first job, but he is not meant to be behind a register since he doesn't even seem competent. read more

I waited in the drive through at 1:25pm for nearly 7 minutes and when I got to the screen to order the barista stated that the car in front of me was the last order of the day. However the store is open (drive through only) until 2 PM and there was no sign signifying they were closing. When I asked why she stated they are understaffed and "want to get out on time". I voiced my frustrations as I along with other customers behind me had been waiting for a significant amount of time with no knowledge that the store was not taking any more drive-through orders. Working in customer service and business for years I would have offered to take the remaining cars/orders and then put a sign up rather than have people wait for 7 to 10 minutes and be told they are no longer taking orders yet the store hours state otherwise. Correct me if I'm wrong but if a store hours are set to a specific time employees are still required to serve customers and not give the excuse they want to get out on time!! read more

Horrible customer service!! Really!! I mobile ordered and arrived 5 minutes later. The Barista was chatting away with coworkers and after a second realized that I was looking for something. She then grabbed my mobile order ticket off of the printer and started making my drink. The was no line and only two people in the place at 4 in the afternoon. While I was standing there waiting for her to make my drink she says, "it's been oddly busy". I guess she was right if "oddly busy" means busy without any customers. For me to leave a review on Yelp, you know it's going to be bad. I will NOT be returning to this Starbucks. I was treated so rudely and I've never been somewhere so unhelpful. I was in the drive-thru to get a coffee for myself and cookie for my 2 young children. The lady who took my order begrudgingly searched for a cookie after I was so polite to ask and say please. Then, when I went to the window to pay with my gift card on my phone, she said I had no balance. When I told her I've never used the card and showed her the dollar amount in the upper corner, she then told me that I owed her the $8 for my coffee and cookie and I needed to pay. I'm not saying that maybe there isn't a glitch, but I've never been anywhere with such bad service!! After ordering my drink, I stood next to the counter where it would be placed. The woman who helped me at the cash register started emptying the garbage throughout the work area. She wasn't wearing gloves. She placed the bag of garbage on the counter (where the drinks go), 6 inches away from where I was standing. She called out to someone to pick it up. She returned to the cash register to help another customer without washing her hands. I was a little taken back by 1) the bag of garbage placed on the same counter where customers get their drinks, 2) how she placed it so close to me and 3) her lack of wearing gloves/no hand washing after the fact. If you've ever been to any Starbucks from Seattle to New York and all points between, you kinda know what to expect as far as look and atmosphere. This is a fairly new store, so everything is still clean and looks new. This particular location is my daily morning stop, and it's really the employees that make this place stand out for me. Almost everyone who works there knows what drink I order and gets it going before I even reach the counter. It always makes a person feel good to know they're noticed and appreciated as a customer, and I certainly feel that way here. (Sometimes I like to mix things up a bit and go to the Starbucks inside the Fred Meyer in the same parking lot, and for what it's worth they're pretty great in there as well!) read more

I came in to get my usual venti Americano and I was greeted so kindly by a Batista whose name I learned is Randi. She remembered all the little things we talked about the last time I came in and asked how my dogs were doing and how the remodeling on my house was going. This is one of the best experiences I've ever had because she was so personal and took the time to really listen to what I had to say. Everyone who works here seems to be the same way. I think all Batistas need to be more like That and not all robotic "what can I get for you" to every single customer. I am very pleased with this Starbucks and I will definitely keep coming back. This Starbucks has one of the friendliest teams out of all the one's I've visited. They have an extremely nice studying atmosphere (think a friendly library with coffee) The place is always clean, has a large amount of seating, and the couches next to the fireplace is also a big plus!
