This Starbucks is cool. The staff is quick and very friendly. They are knowledgeable about their drink etc. Exactly what you expect out of a Starbucks. The only thing that makes this better than most of the Starbucks in the nearby areas is that it stays open pretty late on the weekend. Its strongest asset is also its biggest pitfall. The nearby theater attracts a lot of high school kids who are way too loud. Amazing place! I typically don't come to this Starbucks since it is a bit out of the way for me, but for the past two-three weeks, I have been a regular to get some work done since it has a parking lot and many tables and work space. The team here is always so nice and cheerful! They make my drinks quickly and accurately. Since I've been spending more time in the store and have a couple of drinks before I leave, I change it up based on the day. And when I feel 'adventurous' and want to try something new, the team is always very helpful. They take the time to explain the drink to help make my decision!! Today, one of the baristas helped me choose a 'food item', warmed it up for me, and then instead of giving it to me in their paper/parchment sleeves, served me on a plate by my workspace so I wouldn't be interrupted while working! What a nice gesture!!! It has many eateries near by, so when I'm done here, I can always grab dinner on my way back home. Oh, and the most important thing, they are ALWAYS CLEANING!!! Usually when I go to Starbucks I get the same drinks. Either caramel frap or pumpkin spice latte (hot). I always want to try to drinks there but I'm always hesitant to ask what they would recommend because the one time one of the workers at a different Starbucks location was annoyed. But the guy at this location was so patient and answered all my questions and told me about different drinks and explained the differences between the tastes of them. He was great! It's a Starbucks and that's not saying too much. I ordered a plain Green Tea (Green Tea Tips) and they were out behind the counter. The person working the counter went in back to look for it and checked out the shelves, so at least she made an effort. She couldn't find it so I asked which other Green Teas they had. She looked and said they had a Zen Tea. When I asked her to describe it she looked confused and finally tried to read a little on the box. I went to look at a package on the shelf and got my own answer. They need to know a little bit about their products. Other than that it's a typical Starbucks. I seriously do not understand what is happening at this Starbucks. Each time I go, the customer service and experience is worse and worse. Today I actually left without coffee and had to go to Dunkin Donuts as there is not another Starbucks on my way to work. All I ordered was a Grande Dark Roast. I normally order this or a grande skim latte so I know the procedure. If I order a latte the cup gets marked and goes in the line with the other drinks to be handcrafted. If I order just the poured coffee the person who takes the order fills the cup, I pay and leave. Well today they decided that since it was busy, they would not just pour my coffee but instead mark the cup, put it in line with all the other handcrafted drinks and I would have to wait to get it. As a result, there were at least 15 cups before mine waiting to be made. So I asked about this and was that is how it is because it's busy. Now I have been to a lot of Starbucks locations and ones that are very busy in NYC and I have never experienced this. I don't understand why they would make people wait when they could get them in and out quickly. By doing this, all they did was make the amount of people waiting larger and the area more congested. I am really going to have to figure out if I want to go back here again. This location used to be very nice , customer service WAS awesome and they were very quick. Now they are slow, rude and talk too much to each other to be efficient. Ugh! read more

Consistently have to wait 10m in the morning for coffee AFTER I pay. Only starbucks I've been to where the cashiers don't get coffee, just take orders. I come here several times a week since it is right by where I work, and drinks are always made perfectly, in good time, with a great attitude. This 'Bucks is ALMOST as bad as the Grove Street location in Jersey City--their specialty is long wait times coupled with wrong orders--gotta love the wrong order!! I've dropped my starbucks intake by more than 50% in a couple months due solely to long wait times --bought a coffee maker, I'm saving hundreds a month. The Washington Street Hoboken location refuses to instal a window shade which makes it nearly impossible to sit at the window seats during morning hours --thanks guys!! I've only been asking for 3 years. That place is history too now. This Starbucks is the pits. My family goes to see a movie almost every Sunday morning in the theater right across from this Starbucks. Since the theater allows you tobring coffee in we like to stop at Starbucks first and grab a coffee and sometimes a breakfast sandwich. This Starbucks location is so slow that we were always late for the movie. I order decaf which they never have! How does a Starbucks not have decaf? My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich they didn't have the ingredients to make it. He changed to something else and they gave him the wrong thing. If this happened once I would let it go. Maybe an off day or short staffed but it has happened at least five times. I love Starbucks and always go to the one in East Rutherford where they are quick and efficient. When I am in Secaucus we now go to Dunkin Donuts instead. Sorry Starbucks. Also, this location could be more conscious about their cleaning. read more
