I like Starbucks. Their coffee is consistent across stores. I like the location of this store. It's clean, it's right across the river. Plenty of seats outside to enjoy the beautiful summer weather. Staff is always friendly. Plenty of street parking. The only complaint I have is that music is blasting all the time! I don't think I'm the only one who thinks this as I saw two guys meeting each other inside and decided to go outside, no doubt annoyed by the loud music! We looked at each other before they left and we shook our heads. Am not sure what vibe Starbucks is going for, disqotech?! Can't have a conversation with the person next to you or on the phone, while you are having your coffee. Otherwise, things are good. Hope they fix it! read more

Starbucks where I eat my breakfast when I go to Richmond for fishing. A friendly staff here makes up for some of the short falls of other Starbucks. Coffee is always great here. Gauda and bacon egg sandwich is the better breakfast. read more

Fast, efficient, friendly. Great location. It's nice to visit this location in the Steveston area in the summer. They're usually full inside and outside the store so I always grab and go out for a walk in the area after I get my drink. This location usually gets crowded during Canada Day, festivals, filming and special occasions. You may not always get parking. They always get my order right after each visit. Love it!! Coffee shops are a dime a dozen in the Steveston area. With that said, this location looks nice and new and shiny. Parking here isn't too bad. There are plenty of nice spots if you drive around a bit. There is quite a lineup in this location. Maybe it was because it was a statutory holiday. The staff were somewhat efficient, but I did watch them crank out a wrong drink. They let the customer keep it though. The layout is quite spacious, with several nice couches. read more

Love visiting Steveston Village! It's so relaxing & with this prime location facing the Fraser River - what's to complain about!? I picked this location because one can really just chill out here or grab a latte & take a lovely walk along the scenic boardwalk. Starbucks in Canada have slowly evolved. I mean they are finally catching up with USA locations in offering - variety! I just love the new Marble Chocolate cake, the Santa Fe Chicken Panini & the Grilled Cheese sandwich! I have been going for my coffee fix at whatever Starbucks that was near - for the last 15 years. It gets busy but service is generally prompt once you've ordered. This location is special! I've tried other coffee shops but have always loved my Starbucks coffee! Try the OJ! Starbucks knocked it outta the ballpark with this drink! I have also had the croissant warned up with butter & jam - so good with coffee! There's a cool boardwalk (concrete) nearby, restaurants etc. Or just sit at a table outside & people watch while you sip away. I find not just at this Starbucks only - but at most of them - they can't seem to get the taste of my White Mocha just right! It takes that certain Barista to hook me up proper! That's the reason I sometimes just go to my default drink - the Pike Place. This is truly is one of my favourite Starbucks - who can say otherwise with such spectacular scenic views!?! read more

There are also no fewer than 5 sushi/Japanese restaurants within a 2-block radius. AND, during the summer months, people come for the Farmer's Market. Get a coffee and then take a walk on the dike and boardwalk. This Starbucks has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is even usable in the dead of winter due to the heat lamps installed overhead. Cyclists will appreciate the bike stands to secure their bikes. And dog owners will like that fresh water in a bowl is provided for their pooches outside. This location can get busy, even during the low season, as many people congregate here to study, read or meet people. Staff are generally courteous and efficient. There are more convenient Starbucks locations, but few offer the wealth of businesses and tourist attractions as this location. read more

The new Renovations suck. The seating arrangements are not as cozy anymore. They added in a long couch and several small circular tables. They removed the communal table that was once inside. It is also darker inside. The majority of the space inside is taken up by the coffee bar. I feel it was a bad move to design the layout the way they did for a high traffic tourist-prone Starbucks location. read more

Coffee is coffee right? yeah, well, yeah, if you like the dark rich roast that tastes burnt and coffee cup sizes that you need a PHD to understand how to order your nonfat decaff non GMO skimmed latte with almond tall in a grande cup. whatever. but I digress that there is something else here besides coffee and on a hot day when you want the option of NO STICKY SUGARY STUFF. You can get it here in the form of a nice tea. Iced tea. Their iced coffees are good too. Now if you want coffee and ummm prefer the Timmies brand but got stuck here cause you have a devoted Starbucks lover brother. You can have a Pikes roast coffee which is not sooooo nutty and burnt and dark. It's actually easy on the tongue and stomach and a little bit of cream to help finish off the edge is nice. I do love Starbucks. I know everyone says to go to Blenz because it's a Canadian company but I've never had any service to speak of at a Blenz and it's mostly always friendly at a Starbucks. Why support a company who doesn't seem to like you when there are others, like Starbucks, who do? Also, they have heat lamps for their outside seating which I love. My friend and I usually go to another one but the last few times we've gone, crazy people seem to descend on that location. This one had the heat lamps without the crazy people. There were a lot of dogs so if you're allergic or scared, you may want to give this one a pass. Steveston is amazing and if you can go at night when everything is closed, it's even better. It made me remember why I love the area. Absolutely recommend. read more

This Starbucks is consistently busy for a few reasons 1- location, location, location 2- the staff are always greeting regulars by name as well as preferred drink choices 3- everything is consistent (ie. food, drink, service). Many table outside to choose from with heaters, although not very protected from the wind It can get very busy with students and visitors to the village but the staff handle it well. This Starbucks was great in the off season, but it's a magnet for tourists in the summer. Unfortunately, the manager doesn't seem to schedule enough people during the summer, leaving the store crowded with one person on till, one person running around like a frantic mouse and one person manning the bar. Customer service lacks when the employees are stressed and their drinks are not made to standard or are forgotten without an apology. Just want to say I'm 27 weeks pregnant and one of the women that works there clipped my stomach rushing past me and my four year old daughter without a single word to me (moron). I came here on a sunny afternoon on Sept 21st and needed to buy coffee beans but the location was so busy, I decided to come back later. I returned at 8 pm and it was less crowded. I asked where the coffee beans were as they weren't visible. The server pointed behind me and said they were behind the huge stack of supplies blocking my view. I turned around and began moving them, asking him whose idea was this to block one of their main products. He did come behind me as I moved the stock so I could access the coffee, but he never volunteered to help. I then asked if I could have a dark coffee and he said they only had medium (Pike St). He asked me if I wanted one and I said no, I wanted dark. He never offered to make a batch. I don't know what Starbuck's policy is about catering to the customer. I wonder if they have the attitude that because it is such a popular place they feel that the customer will take whatever they offer. It wasn't like it was 5 minutes before closing and I was asking for something outrageous. Just a tall dark coffee. They have zillions of beans, albeit some hidden, but they could easily make some dark coffee. My server did not offer. And then he asked me if I wanted a bag for my coffee and I said yes. Then he said it was ripped at the bottom, and again asked if I wanted a bag. I would have thought my first answer (YES) was still what I wanted. By this time, I was fed up with the entire exercise and I thought, he obviously doesn't want to help me. So Steveston Starbucks, I am tempted never to return to your less than satisfactory doors. I wonder if your success in the global coffee business has led to apathy and poor training of your staff? I shall buy my coffee elsewhere. read more

This location was a bit out of the way for me, however, was visiting with one of my girlfriends to get some advice on a personal matter. She's not really culinary savvy, therefore, by default she picked a Starbucks. She was buying me coffee and giving me free advice, therefore, went with it. It's situated in a somewhat residential/business area, therefore, expect a lot of locals just passing the day. With that said...good luck trying to get an outlet. Went here after eating at the pho place next door. It is often busy, being located in a residential/small business area. I come by early mornings, and the view is amazing. You have a look out over the river just down the road. The staff are super friendly, and also make drinks fairly fast, you wont be in line for long. It's at a fairly convenient location. The wharf is only a few blocks away, and the park is just down the street. I found starbucks way better than the rocaninis, a few shops down, for coffee and a light snack. way to go starbucks, another shop that has great service! read more
