Stopped by Starbucks on Thursday afternoon (13 Feb 25) to get something to drink and get out of the rain. My experience was very disappointing. I would rate the Starbucks at this location a zero if I could. This Starbucks at 5000 1 Meadowood Mall circle in Reno, Nevada, does not accept payments using Starbucks gift cards. I thought that was the point of buying a proprietary gift card in the first place. I'm going to use a competitor in the future. read more

I just requested water after I finished my cold brew ordered via online StarBucks, got 437 stars collected. I just requested ice water after finished my coffee. It's 1900 hour of 10/19/24, they are still open three of them, two baristas not busy. No people in line. They pushing each other, who will get me water. The person I requested pointed me to other barista, and I went to that person and passed me to the other. Until, I declined. I felt a little embarrassed. When I refused they were laughing and one guy yelling repetitively, saying " he don't like water." 3-4x. So rude. I left feeling dehydrated and embarrassed. read more

This Starbucks location consistently runs out of product. The drive thru has a sewer smell. Friendly employees are hot and miss, until today; even though I come here every Tuesday, I will never return to this location. I went through the drive thru and the car in front of me took a while. No biggie - maybe it's a big order. I pull forward and wait and wait and no one ever comes. So, I say "hello?" A couple times and thought maybe the intercom isn't working. So I pull to the window. No one comes. I see employees but I thought, well maybe they are understaffed today. Finally, after about 4 minutes I lightly peeped the horn. The girl who knew I was there looks up like "what do you want". She mouths they are closed. This is at 3:15 in the afternoon. I'm like, okay things happen. I simply wanted to ask her if 3:00 closing was a new thing for Tuesdays . I asked why no one bothered to come to the window to let me know. She said there is a sign in the drive thru and I could drive back around to see it. At this point my patience finally wore off. If I had seen a sign I wouldn't have sat at the window! The person before and after me wouldn't have waited to put their order in. When she said that last bit I said, "no I just won't be coming back to this location." She gave the thumbs up. I didn't mind they were closed, wasted my time in the drive through with a "sign" that 3 cars didn't see - what I cannot tolerate is being treated with no consideration as a weekly sometimes biweekly customer. I felt like it was all a joke to her and she was indifferent to her lack of common friendliness. When did employees loose common decency. She was so nasty and rude. Im looking for alternatives all over town. I e noticed large increases in price, decrease in size, and just plain unfriendly service. This location needs to retrain for customer service. My sister in law was provided mis-information during her order and since she based her order on the availability of the ingredients, to find out that the ingredient wasn't actually available was a disappointment. So she requested it changed since the cashier was said they did repeatedly. The batista, Kayla or Layla, really should learn about customer service. She served a venti sized cup of attitude that was truly unnecessary. They weren't busy at that moment, the replacement was cheaper and it was not my sister in laws error. We have had simpler situations corrected with ease. Not wanting to deal with the disrespect of this person and what would undoubtedly be a terribly executed order, she went back to the cashier for a complete cancellation and refund. Then to have the cashier refund onto a gift card.we used up, that she was asked to dispose of at time of order which basically meant it wasn't actually refunded to us since that card had since been misplaced by her. Suffice it to say, we left without her coffee or the refund since no one seemed to know what to do. Even the customer behind us gave up For the money that is charged for their drinks, plus pushing for tips, one expects some type of customer service and not to be made to feel like an inconvenience. read more

Centrally located in the meadows mall, Starbucks is an oasis in the crowded shopping mall. With all there favorites, espresso, cappacino, latte, chat tea, frapachinno and more there seems to be a small line all day. The coffee is OK, not great, but the padded seats and free Wi-Fi make for a good people watching area and to get work done. read more

Have you ever gotten so busy and distracted through the course of your day that you forgot to drink any coffee, and then started to completely run out of gas in the late afternoon? That happened to me today while I was shopping, and I managed to trek the fifty yards or so from Eddie Bauer to here without calling an ambulance ;-) I give Starbucks points for having locations pretty much everywhere on the Planet, and this one turned out to be convenient in a pinch, but the coffee here (and at all the other links in the chain) is just AOK at best, and considering the prices, the value proposition is questionable at best. Bottom line: If you need a decent cup of Joe, you can do worse than Starbucks, but you can do a heck of a lot better as well. read more

This SBUX can get long lines during the busy shopping times of the year but they consistently deliver a good cup of coffee. Seating is cramped due to the location, but overall this Starbucks is a shining star in what is a fading location. Quick, friendly and efficient, what's not to like?

I've been to this Starbucks multiple times, they have great service! The only thing that bothered me is that I don't think the barista knew what topping is... I ordered an iced chestnut praline latte with extra topping. I didn't taste the crunchy topping, so I went to ask if she put any and to put more of so. When she went to put the topping, she added 2 more pumps to my drink. I didn't complain because I can really taste the chestnut praline in my drink. However, the only thing missing from my drink is the Chestnut Praline crunchy topping that I love :'( Other than that, great service! read more

So here's a warm fuzzy for the folks at the Starbucks Kiosk in the Meadowood Mall. *throws warm fuzzies their way* This one goes out to the tall, skinny guy with glasses (who I'm pretty sure has a boyfriend rather than a girlfriend). You rock, dudeski. You're a hot chocolate Super Hero! I'm sure you thought I was crazy when I was explaining that something funky was going down inside my hot chocolate (that was made at a different Starbucks). But there was no fear in you, no sir! You yanked off that lid and you took a big ol' whiff and even though your face indicated a serious problem with my drink- you did what not many others would do- you bravely, and without hesitation, took a swig of a strangers drink. You risked your health for me! For all you knew I could've had some strand of Herpaghonasyphilaids -and you just ingested it without batting an eye. That's SO gangster. So Kudos to you, Mr. Funky Hot Cocoa Drinker Guy! Starbucks should give you a gold star for great customer service! Sweet first to review! Having a Starbucks in the mall is convenient and a very good business idea. I ordered a trenta peach green tea lemonade. Sooo delicious and refreshing. This particular visit I had the privilege of witnessing a rare, random act of kindness from an employee. I wish I had caught his name, but sadly didn't. He went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of a severely habdicapped customer. I am truly in awe of this young man. It's quite enjoyable to find they have conveniently located a Starbucks inside the mall. Great to grab my favorite treat and keep right on shopping. It can get quite busy during peak shopping hours so I try to come after or before the rush. Run by younger high school baristas usually. They aren't the friendliest, but they get the job done, and that's all my standards require. read more

Not a big Starbucks regular, but the folks working at this location are doing things well under the circumstances of their tiny, crowded kiosk [update: it's been enlarged and is now much nicer]. They make an (almost) consistently at-temp kid's drink (which is usually the only thing I get here when I'm with someone who drinks these). Unlike a stand-alone shop where Starbucks-addicts congregate, this stand in the mall gets a lot of riff-raff and I've seen the employees exercise great patience with some rude customers. read more

This place is hit or miss. The lines can get extremely long and people belly up to the bar like they are going to miss their grande half caf soy gingerbread latte. I just had to have them make my drink twice because it was flavorless lukewarm water. My drinks are always good here but everytime I come here when a specific barista is working she always has a rude attitude with me. The first time I just figured she was having a bad day, but then again today she was rude with me. I asked for a drink and offered to tell her the recipe for it (it's not on the menu but it's literally just a mix of cool lime, lemonade, and passion tea.) and she told me "we can't do special orders because we're too busy with frappuccino happy hour." I asked her "so you can't make my drink? I have the recipe." And she goes "well we're really busy so we'd have to shake it in the shaker. It won't look how you want it to." Which like? I don't care? I just wanted my drink. So I asked again and she asked another barista who told her yes they can, she just had to write down on the cup how to make it. Cool lime refresher to the first line, lemonade to the 3rd line, ice, then passion tea on top of that. It's a super easy drink. It takes like a minute tops to make. I've never had an issue with any other barista but for some reason she's just extra rude. I went again though the other day and the new barista was super nice! She was fantastic and even though my drink was written wrong so I got the wrong drink, I think it was just the way I explained it. Today, Nov 16 the young ladies working were not nice, border line rude.
