I normally am not impressed by gelato, but I was pretty satisfied with the gelato and service when my friends and I swung by this place on a Friday night. Personally, it's very seldom that I find a place that has gelato with a good pistachio flavor. But I was thoroughly surprised with the pistachio flavor they were selling. I got a small cup which was under 6 dollars and I thought it was a pretty big portion size for one person. It was good and I would get this gelato again but I wouldn't go out of my way to go through Atlantis to feed my gelato craving. Especially considering that this spot is located on the first floor of a busy casino. read more

Wonderful custom cakes! This is the third time I've ordered a custom cake from gourmet grind. Each time, the bakery has done such a great job of creating a beautifully decorated cake that's always delicious and very affordable too. The first time, we ordered the strawberry champagne cake and requested to have it decorated for a wedding anniversary. The second was a classic carrot cake and cream cheese frosting for a birthday with friends. I still dream about how good that cake was. This time was for a 70th birthday at Bistro Napa- I got a Grand Marnier custard filled cake with mandarin oranges, chocolate ganache and alternating chocolate and white cake layers. It was such a hit! And tastefully decorated too. The process is so easy if you go in person. Another reviewer posted a photo of the order form. I take a look at it ahead of time to figure out what I want, then go during non-peak coffee shop hours to place my order. Plus, I can pick up a treat for myself from the bakery case while I'm there. You can even have your cake seamlessly delivered to any of the Atlantis restaurants if you are having your celebration there. read more

I ordered the Strawberry Acai, Dragon Fruit and Mango Dragon Fruit Refreshsers with coconut milk. AMAZING! I don't know why I've never had this before. The Stawberry and Acai was my favorite. It's not too sweet, not over powering and just a great drink. The Dragon Fruit and Mango Dragon Fruit were a lot sweeter, but still great. You can also choose the base between water, lemonade and coconut milk. This cafe also offers Gelato, pastries, cakes, cookies, sandwiches and salad. I've had their cakes before and they are delicious. The only thing that stopped me from giving it 5 stars was the service. I felt like I was bothering the girl that was helping me. I've never really had a refresher before and can't drink sweet drinks, so I asked if she knew what it was sweetened with. From then on all her answers were either super vague and mundane. Almost as if I was bothering her. It was super disappointing. Follow up... I needed to come back to the Atlantis the following day and of course I ordered another refresher. A different girl was helping me and she was fantastic. Super friendly and helpful. read more

Stopped by this place while I was visiting the Atlantis Hotel & Casino during a Lake Tahoe trip. Group wanted to gamble, so gamble we did. I was actually super surprised they had so many food options inside of the hotel. My group had originally wanted to eat at the buffet inside, but the wait time looked to be around 2-3 hours, so we decided to eat elsewhere. Couldn't help but eye the tasty looking desserts this place had on display in particular. The presentation of the desserts is pretty pleasing! However, I thought they tasted just ok... Which is what I'd expect of a bakery inside of a casino. I got a chocolate peanut butter cake slice and cream puff with strawberry slices. The cake was fine. Kind of underwhelming on both the chocolate and peanut butter front. Texture was fine, and it was moist. The cream puff surprised me as it had custard on the inside. I had expected it to just be whipped cream, but even with the custard it was also just ok. The custard didn't really stand out in any way. It wasn't an overly sweet cream puff, which I'll give it a thumbs up for. Wouldn't really go out of my way to try this place, but if I was at Atlantis again and I felt something sweet, I'd try another item on display. read more

Kayline and her entire team continue to impress. Please read the entire first review about this being a hidden gem in Reno. 5/5: the look/concept of the cake and execution 5/5: flavor 5/5: friendliness of all the staff - shout out to Dani also at the front for being so nice during pick up! Need I say more? You need to get a custom cake here. Having had that excellent experience with my sister's birthday cake, I decided to contact Kayline again for my mom's birthday cake. I'm so happy we did because we all enjoyed the cake. I reached out to Kayline asking her for an elegant cake. Our family is not a big fan of fondant. We think it looks great but the taste is not what we prefer. We enjoy whipped cream cakes. I gave her colors and told her elegant flowers but not something so overwhelming was the idea I had in mind. Boy did the team deliver! Look: 5/5 The cake itself was elegant. The flowers were well placed and the colors came out perfect. The accent pieces really brought a little something to the cake and the font was well written and sophisticated. Taste: 5/5 We got a white cake with some fresh strawberry filling. The cake was so moist and melted in your mouth. Even though the cake had to travel ~150 miles and it was enjoyed 2 days after the pick up and it was still absolute divine and tasted fresh. The whipped cream was the perfect sweetness and didn't overpower. Value: You're not going to find a place to get a better valued custom cake. I'm now literally looking for some reason to get a cake for next month from this incredible team... maybe Halloween? Right place at the right time when it came to looking for something sweet after lunch. We've walked by earlier but it wasn't a second thought. But after lunch, sweets was clearly on everyone's mind. The selections of baked goods and pastries was amazing. Also the selections of gelato took the winning spot. The different flavors were all so mouthwatering. As well as the dessert. They also serve Starbucks coffee which was nice. Between the gelato and dessert we ordered, gelato hands down wins. Dessert was good but the gelato boost flavors that outdid the sweets. read more

Unfortunately, I've been going here for couple of years every day for a drink and a donut. Every day we go and try to get a Strawberry Frappucino and every day the staff tells us that they have no strawberries. We never have problems here but just funny that you advertise a drink and you don't have the supplies to make it. No longer will be going there for any of these items. read more

Kayline and her staff did an exceptional job creating my Dads 90th Birthday cake. The oohs and aahs at the beauty of the cake to the flavor. The young gentleman loaded up the cake onto a cart for us for fear that I might drop it! It was three layers of decadence. Good place to get coffee and pastries in the morning while staying at or visiting the Atlantis casino. They can get pretty busy but the employees are pretty efficient. They brew Starbucks coffee ($3-4) and their pastries ($3-5) are huge and pretty tasty. Didn't try any of their other breakfast or lunch items but they also sell quiches, sandwiches, parfaits, and gelato. I would probably come back for breakfast if staying here again in the future. read more

The casino coffee / snack spot in the Atlantis is next door to the Manhattan Deli. It's my stop for gelato for years now. Ever since the Yelp whiskey class and Christian, the property sommelier, showed me I could get a scoop of vanilla gelato here and walk a few feet to the sports bar and drop the gelato in a shot of Jeremiah Weed - that's one adult root beer float that can kick your butt later. Mmmm This small coffee area offers limited coffee specialty items, lots of sweet bakery treats and a dozen flavors of house made gelato. There's just three tables and a small counter to stand at. Let me start by saying that the pastries here are delicious, and they make beautiful and delicious cakes too. The problem is that they are so disorganized that you run the risk of your cake getting lost or disappearing completely If you o. I have ordered two cakes this month for birthday parties. The first cake could not be found and it took over 1/2 an hour to be located. The second cake was completely lost and a whole new cake had to be made "on the spot" which meant we needed to wait around for over an hour and were late to said birthday party. read more

Two tries here this week, two bad experiences. First was grabbing a yogurt drink with breakfast, having the employee notice it had expired 7 days previous. Glad he pointed it out, but his response to me was unbelievable... "You know, you really should check things like this before buying them." No, you should not have items for sale that expired 7 days ago. Tried again tonight, ordering a dessert from the sole employee behind the counter. After I ordered, the phone rang and she proceeded to get in to a lengthy conversation with the caller rather than complete my order ... so after 3 minutes of the call I left. Customer Service training appears to be lacking for this location. Unfortunately the poor quality of the coffee servers at the other coffee bar inside the Atlantis had me give up on them ... so I drove away to get my coffee elsewhere ... read more

I attended a conference this weekend at the Atlantis. I know I could have made coffee at home, but I didn't. The Gourmet Grind serves Starbucks coffee, but is not a Starbucks. They also serve delicious pastries, bagels, cakes, oatmeal, and other items I probably missed. Although not a Starbucks, they offered many of the same drinks, and I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy a Grande soy vanilla latte from them 3 days in a row. The service was always kind, and the drinks were really good! It felt a bit pricey, 2 drinks and a pastry with a tip cost me about $20. Sunday morning I had quite a wait as they only had 1 lady behind the counter and she was working as fast as she could. I expected my coffee to suffer due to this, but the 3rd day tasted just as good as the 1st. I'm on this new diet, so I didn't indulge in the pastries, but they look delicious. My bagel (I left my healthy breakfast in the freezer one day) was toasted nicely. They only had cream cheese and butter (I would have loved avocado, peanut butter, or hummus instead) but those are the typical offerings. All in all, if I need coffee in the Atlantis I would definitely go back. Service was good, drinks were good, and it was a good selection with a few seats to sit and talk. read more

Nothing special about the coffee here. I got a pecan roll that was $4 and it tasted old. Service was friendly. That was a solid plus. If I was at the Atlantis and I needed a place for a cup of coffee, I would go here. But I wouldn't make a special trip to the Atlantis just for the coffee, so it rates only three sars. read more

I have to write a review of our Fav coffee in Reno. Gourmet Grind is the small pick up only coffee stop inside Atlantis Casino. They have some unique mocha drinks such as German Chocolate (taste like german chocolate cake) and Apple pie. The drinks are brewed up fresh and are quite tasty although a few of the novelty drinks can be too sweet. The coffee is also super hot so be carefull! The star of this place is the BEST raspberry croissant I have ever had. Now this is not some one time deal, we have been coming to this place for a decade and I was told that the baker is French and thats why the croissant is so good. The croissants are super crispy yet buttery and flakey. The raspberry is perfect, not to sweet, not to tart and just the right amount of filling. The almond and chocolate croissants are equally delicious. If you are ever in Reno and you want a good cup of coffee and a KILLER croissant please try this place! read more

Horrible customer service, Tarvin was very unhelpful and rude, when asked if food could be heated up (after being directed to this place) he consistently refused without giving a valid reason. He said he'd call his manger but when he called his manager there was no answer and he prompted to say my manager said no, without him even talking to him. Horrible and frustrating service was simply trying to just heat up food boughten within the hotel. read more

They have seriously yummy cakes. I've attached the order form so you can see all of the possible options. The round cakes I've gotten have two layers of frosting. Next time I order I'm going to ask for only one, more cake less frosting. But, their frosting is delicious. The decorations are very florally even the cake I ordered (strawberry champagne) for my boyfriends birthday had flowers on it. And a year later I came back! My son turned one and dad and I decided that every year we will come here to have our son's cake done. I love that after a year Kayline Amos (Executive Pastry Chef) still remembered who I am. The cake was even better than what I had imagined it to be. I love her and her team, they do a wonderful job! Super friendly ladies work at this spot in the Atlantis. They also serve Gelato and Starbucks! Anytime I can get Starbucks without going there is great to me! Atlantis supports our local MLB affiliate the Reno Aces and almost every game we get free Gelato tickets and we always come to Gormet Grind, it's right by Manhattan Deli and close to the back entrance by the sports book. Also 1 free scoop of Gelato is honestly like 7 scoops so don't feel like you're getting ripped off read more

Wow. I'm impressed! I am staying at the Atlantis and wanted to grab a pastry and coffee before heading out for the day. They serve Starbucks coffee and I enjoyed my soy chai tea latte with one of the best almond croissants I have ever had. I would go out of my way to come back here for the pastries. The cakes and other baked items looked great as well. High quality. I'll be back when in town!! read more

The staff here are extremely nice! I forgot the lady's name but thanks so much for the awesome service! I'm really picky and she didn't mind giving me samples for the gelato. She was patient and she actually had a legit conversation with me and brother even though it was past 10p and I'm pretty sure she had a long day. The gelato was actually good. The flavors weren't my cup of tea i guess but overall it was delicious. read more

No secret I'm not a coffee guy but this place has a nice desert selection. That being said the coffee they use is Starbucks. Seriously. And some 50 feet away is an actual Starbucks. Their name is deceiving to say the least. The bear claw I had in the morning was pretty good however the cake I ate later that night was.... well let's just say when a chubby guy tosses cake in the garbage it may not be that great. read more

I always order my sons birthday cakes from gourmet grind in Atlantis ! I ordered two cakes this weekend and one was for my sons 4th birthday . When they showed me the cake it was skylander themed and had two very small pictures and didn't look like very impressive esp for a kids party . I didn't say anything and just kept on, the young girl at the front said we can tape it closed after showing me and my small cake had a name spelt wrong so the pastry chef "Kayline Johnson " brought it back up and saw it was just me and my four year old . She asked where I parked and being it was a Saturday I said we parked far . She offered to walk us to the car carrying both cakes over her shoulder. When we got home we opened the cake to show my husband and the images have stuck to the top and the cake was ruined . I called knowing her intentions were good but I didn't want my son disappointed . He couldn't wait to see his skylander cake . She was very accommodating, apologetic and felt really bad. She said she would fix it and make us a new one , she apologized and even offered to bring it to our house for the Inconvenience. That was so impressive and very nice and had us surprised especially coming from a casino ! The next day she had personally delivered it to our house and came back with a very impressive and beautiful cake that my son wouldn't stop talking about how cool and nice his cake was ! It looked ten times better and for her to personally deliver it was unheard of and definitely effort , and going above and beyond! You are a huge asset to Atlantis Kayline ! I told everyone what you did and it's so impressive and the nicest service we could ever imagine ! You went above and beyond to make sure my son had the biggest smile on his face for his special birthday cake! You truly amazed us and we thank you so much!! They make daily fresh bread. We got an Iced Vietnamese coffee which was super strong. I drink Vietnamese coffee often and very familiar but this, this was stronger than a typical Viet coffee. So strong that a headache kicked in immediately and only drank 1/4 of the cup. Also got a matcha cloud which consist of coconut water and a creamy matcha foam. First sip, sweet and creamy. Barely tasted the matcha. For pastries we got the chocolate croissant, pain suisse and a Kouign Amann. The Kouign amann was different, it was in a shape of a bar and had multiple flaky layers. Tasted like a palmier cookie. Everything was delicious. The lines can be long and we were told if you just want drinks, walk next door to Perenn Grocery and they can make the drinks quickly to avoid the lines. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

The almond croissant was a yummy buttery almond flavor but was just a bit over browned on the edges for my taste. The bear claw was soft and tasty. It also had apples in it, which made it sort of a mix of a bear claw apple fritter, but was tasty all the same. We also got one of the blueberry cheese danishes that was very good as well and the morning bun -- this was a good size cinnamon roll sugared treat that was so soft and amazing! I would have to say I would go straight for this next time. We also tried two espresso drinks- a latte and a mocha and both were excellent! Looking further at the menu- I see that they have several lunch entrees, quiches and breakfast sandwiches all for very affordable pricing. AND- homemade cakes! that I will be trying in the future for some family birthdays, which I am so happy to see that someone in the area is making fresh homemade cakes near us. If you haven't tried wheatberry out, I highly suggest suggest it - their fresh ingredients and homemade quality will win you over for sure and this bakery is a much needed Welcome addition to our Neighbourhood!

I drove out to the store and asked if I could get two dozen bundtinitis and couple single servings. It will be 30 minute wait. They use to have them in stock. To pick up and go. The cakes are Delicious and I don't think I ever had a bad one! I took a dozen to my dermatologist and one to my Physical Therapist office, it's fun to hand them to others and you can see their face light up! The Nothing Bundt Cakes is in the Smith ridge shopping center right by Trader Joe's with easy parking to the shop! I feel the service isn't as outstanding as it used to be, but it's the only store in town.

But no, they chose disorganization and didn't value any of their customers and had them waiting for ridiculous amounts of time (over 30 minutes?!?!) . My daughter missed most of her son's graduation lunch because of this wait, breaking her heart as she just wanted to bring his favorite dessert and missed almost the whole lunch because of NOTHING BUNDT CAKES. The employee told the person in front of my daughter that they were out of frosting, and that if they didn't have a flavor they would look to see if "they could steal one from an ahead order" UM. IM SORRY. SO PEOPLE PLACED ORDERS WEEKS AHEAD AND THEN DAY OF THEY WERE LOOKING TO COMPLETE NEW ORDERS WITH ORDERS PEOPLE HAD PLACED BUT HADNT PICKED UP YET?!?!?!? Picking up our placed order took over 40 minutes, while my elderly father was stuck waiting in the car for that entire time. To make up for this? They offered my daughter a free bundlet, only available to be redeemed from that one cursed location (we don't live in state and certainly will NEVER be back to this location even if we were in state again) absolutely ridiculous. This was so stressful that my daughter's Oura ring warned her she was in a high stress environment (to pick up a pre ordered cake! Imagine that!) Nothing Bundt cakes ruined our day and our celebration. I really hope that next year they just close for graduation since they clearly cannot handle it and they should not have people relying on them when they are incompetent in completing orders placed a month ahead. This was beyond disappointing, and I hope that someone from management reaches out to correct this. In the future we will no longer be ordering nothing Bundt cakes, despite our big family ordering them almost monthly for birthdays. IF ANYONE IS ORDERING FOR NEXT YEARS GRADUATION- DONT!!!!!!! Try another place!!!!! Not worth the stress.
