This is my fav Starbucks location! We know they're on every dang corner but I wait till I get closer to this one because me and their drive thru are besties. I've never been inside so I cannot review that but their drive thru is never crowded! The other locations around meridian have horrendous lines and , well... service too. But the staff here are super friendly! I've gotten samples from this location too! Which actually made me order the lavender latte a couple of times. If it wasn't for that sample it's a drink I wouldn't have even thought to order in fear of being gross/wasting my money. I do the mobile app ordering now that I've figured it out and it's been great but even before using the app their service is quick. They have been out of bagels or cream cheese the past month. They always recommend something more expensive. I've now tried 3 of their sandwiches and none of them are something I would recommend. Today they told me it was a supply chain issue. It is a worldwide corporation, why is there a month long issue at just this store location? To top it off this morning the lady in the drive thru spilled part of my drink on my car, looked down saw what she did then told me to have a nice day. No napkins, no sorry. This location is quite smaller than the other ones I usually go to. Parking can be annoying and sometimes its crowded and I can't get a seat. Luckily, I had a spot to squeeze into. Honestly this crew is top notch. They honestly care about who you are, every time I come into the store they know my name that you greet me warm and pleasantly. They always make sure to ask me how my day is going and it really provide great conversation. One of the employees knows that I'm on keto and we trade tips and tricks as well as recipes. I for some reason I always end up placing my order at the wrong location and they always are able to help me out and get it corrected. I love Starbucks in genera but this store is AMAZING! We enjoy our Starbucks and love to stop in and have an amazing coffee or a iced beverage. We got a message yesterday for "Happy Hour." Order a grande or larger drink and get one free. I'm like yes please!!!!! Took the family out for a treat after school and my wife ordered 3 drinks for herself and my two youngest kids and used the Happy Hour discount. Worked like a champ other then the nice young gentleman behind the counter looking at her with disgust and finished the transaction. Once we got our drinks, one was wrong. Later myself and my oldest decided to get something. I ordered and told the same gentleman I would like to use the Happy Hour for my two drinks he rudely told me no he couldn't and scanned my phone "Starbucks app." I didn't think that was right but I let it go. When I picked up my two new drinks I asked him about it and he rudely told me you can only use the Happy Hour once a day. The moral of this story is we love our Starbucks, but some baristas are better then others. And only use the Happy Hour once a day "not in the fine print" so you have been warned!! read more

Now.... I go to this particular Starbucks most mornings before work & order the same thing. I don't typically have to check my bag for my things because usually they have my back. But a few days ago this week I noticed my 2 hot sauces were missing from my order. Ok... nbd. I was still in the parking lot so I decided to go in. When I walked in 2 girls looked me up & down, didn't greet me & kept doing whatever they were doing. There was about 5-7 people working that day. Starbucks is Starbucks, am I right? The difference between the locations really lies in the customer service. I have admittedly been to this Starbucks every morning of my visit to Puyallup (5 days and counting....). Each time my order has been correct. I'm not giving any huge awards here since my order is iced coffee, heavy cream, no sweetener; kind of hard to mess that up.... I have been greeted with exceptional customer service on each visit. I come here frequently (2-4 times per week). I have for months. I would be embarrassed if you walked into my restaurant and found it in this condition. What are you doing here? Are you only in the business of moving a single commodity (and pray your buyer comes back)? Or are you in the business of creating a customer experience that makes them eager to return? Because what I received today was horrible. There was not a single clean spot in the restaurant and business was VERY slow. Awful. This is has become a trend here. Had an issue with my Starbucks app that I just downloaded to find out my gift card was hacked and used. When I went in to ask about what to do the head of the house, Madeline, ignored me and avoided the line as she tried to get several other busy employees to help me even though she was the only one not doing anything. Thankfully, another employee saw me and helped but knew the question was for Madeline. Madeline said they don't handle the app and told me to call "the number" then turned around and walked away. As the nice employee realized i still would like to order, she asked Madeline "can we still give a free drink" and Madeline didn't want to but responded "are you going to call the number?" I said I would and she walked to the back. The nice employee apologized for Madelines behavior and gave me a free drink as I tried to pay. The first time I went here I remember my barista's name was Randy & he refused to let me use my partner discount. Stating that I lie about my number and I even offered him ID and he declined. Really? This is the closest Starbucks to our house and the one we come to most often. The drive thru is pretty quick, even though the line always looks really long. Friendly baristas too! I just wish the parking lot was a little bigger, especially on a Saturday morning, it can get a little crazy. Also they don't have a huge lobby, so if you're meeting friends for coffee, it can be tricky to find a table. read more

Listening skills of the employees needs major improvement. Starbucks in general does not have my vote, but in Puyallup there is only Bigfoot, Starbucks, or sub-par espresso stands. No one cares about quality out here. it's just gimme my tip and here's some crappy coffee. Step-up your game Starbucks. Start offering organic cream and milk options to your patrons. This location is ok. Many times I've come through when it been busier and my lattes haven't been filled all the way. I usually take my drinks as is, after all that is the recommended way to enjoy the drink. But its down right frustrating to pay full price for a drink that's not full. They need to slow down and measure out these ingredients accurately. read more
