I go there with my friends almost every week. Usually I have a good experience but recently I've had the same barista multiple times and every single time she is always very short with us and seems like we are inconveniencing her. Every-time we come we see her talking happily with others then when it gets to us she's silent and barely interacts with us. We witnessed her snap at an elder customer over not having ice. As someone who works in the coffee industry this would never be aloud at my establishment. read more

Great little coffee shop! I pop in here when my daughter is getting her braces worked on across the parking lot. Both times the coffee has been good. I've encountered two different baristas both visits. The first girl was ok. Nothing special. Didn't really talk to me much, which is fine. The second time the girl was very nice and explained some of the special drinks to me, plus said she hoped to see me again when I left. I wish I caught her name cause she was excellent & made me feel like I was important to them. I do like how the have fun new drink specials each month. read more

I absolutely love this place. I actually looked up coffee stands In the area and this place came up. It is NOT a coffee stand (no drive-thru) however there's reserved parking spots right up front. They have lots of snacks as well as syrup flavors. The woman in front of me had a 5 order drink and when the barista saw me walk up she made their drinks quick and accurately, and had no problem with a big order. I've had problems in the past with big orders and even had a coffee stand change their sign to say "call ahead for big orders" after they yelled at me and 4 friends and almost refused service for just simply ordering drinks. Anyway, When it was my turn, the barista was so friendly and seemed excited to be there even though today is Easter. When I asked her about her plans she said she's just gonna do stuff after she's off, and said she doesn't mind working holidays. Normally I'm a holiday, most people are bummed to be at work so I'm really happy that she gave such outstanding service and a great attitude ! When she was making my drink, a woman walked up and the barista addressed her by name and remembered her drink ! When you see so many customers every day, being able to remember one persons name and order can be challenging ! Thank you for the wonderful coffee !! Bens Espresso is a very tiny coffee shop that (I think) is attached to a grocery store of some sort... First thing I noticed was the awesome prices they offer, and that everyday they have a different deal running. The day I went, it happened to be free italian sodas for kids, but they also had like 50% off coffee days, 50% monthly special days, etc. I love when little coffee shops do stuff like that - that's how you create regulars! I'd totally be one if I lived in the area. I tried one of their October specials - the Witches Brew. It was a white chocolate/butterscotch mocha. It turned out pretty amazing, but I was kind of bummed because I couldn't taste the butterscotch that much. For a 20 oz, I only paid $4! Dealz. The barista was really nice as well, so customer service is something they're well-oriented with too! read more

Their customer service has been nothing less than stellar in all the years i have been a patron. Their drinks are consistent, unlike some places where your order could taste differently from day to day. Don't be limited by the suggested original but crafty drink selection listed, they really can make you ANY beverage your heart desires.Remember people the menu is only a suggestion... and not unlike the craft store that Ben's is named after, their staff is just as crafty and will make it a mission to make you something to really get those taste bugs jiving. Apart from the coffee, the staff is considerate and welcoming....they take the time to care for their customers. This place can go between 2 and 4 stars depending on who is the barista the day you go. I normally get a creme de menthe latte with omg amounts of syrup. Sometimes it comes out almost perfect, and others my coffee is burnt and they don't put in nearly as much flavoring as I ask them. Service is okay, yet again depending on the day. However I will say their italian sodas are the bomb. So I avoid the coffee and get those because they are a.) cheaper b.) no one can f*ck it up and c.) they have every flavor under the friggin sun. read more

Went to Ben Franklin to get some art supplies and the smell of fresh espresso and the posted specials drew me in. I was surprised that for a walk up espresso it was nice inside. The Barista gets 5 stars for friendliness, pleasantness and overall good natured service. I had a friend with me that was giving her a hard time and she didn't even bat an eye just returned his banter with ease all the while continuing to prepare our drinks (without burning them) and provide greetings to the incoming customers. She knew her menu and specials without even looking at the board and was able to give recommendations both on her favorites and what people generally like. The espresso is smooth and robust. I am a iced non fat (no flavor) drinker. Consistently good lattes. Perfect amount of ice, milk (from a local dairy!!) and wonderful coffee. And the baristas are so darn sweet!! read more

I used to go to Starbucks on a regular basis but then I started going here after trying a few drinks when I would pick up my boyfriends red bull drinks. The baristas know him because he always does coffee runs for his work (vapor st8) I love how friendly they all are and they were really helpful with suggesting drinks to try. Their smoothies are to die for! Especially the strawberry banana, and I love the Snickerdoodle blended. They also have an awesome selection of treats! read more

I stopped there for coffee and it wasn't that busy, so I was very offended when the blond woman working there was super rude and indignant with me. The coffee is nothing special and they don't offer much in the way of variety but it was close by so I checked it out. It was awkward getting my coffee and she even started helping other people before she was finished with me. Her card reader was broken & couldn't use the #3 button so she shoved it in my direction & said "just hit the credit button" while she was taking other orders. FYI there was no button marked "credit" so I was understandably confused. Then she got very frustrated when I took out my card early and grabbed the reader away from me. Once she was done she threw my card on the counter and then handed me the reader. I didn't know what I was supposed to do so I just looked at her & said "what do you want me to do?". Then she realized my transaction was done & she just laughed & said "oh you're fine" and turned to other people in line. It was rude and I will never set foot in that dump again. Used to be the best coffee stand in town-- even with the bitter starbucks around the corner. Now days they've fallen completely flat. They haven't got my coffee right in at least 6 months. I have called and politely complained, given gentle reminders to add all of my shots while ordering, I've even complained to the owner all to no avail. The kids they have working the stand don't know left from right, or the difference between one shot or my usual four for that matter.
