Not a single word was said to me aside from "what can I get you" and "what is your number". The girl with the long brown hair just seemed like she hated everyone ‍ didn't say thank you for the tip. The girl that made my coffee pulled the most disgusting burnt shots, no amount of added sweetness can cover that taste. 9$ down the drain. It's been a few years since I've been to Electric Coffee House, but I came in to work from the…read morecoffee shop a couple of weeks ago. Just like the first time I visited, they were hoppin'! It's right in downtown Sumner so it's easy for people to pop right in, but there were others who were also working remotely for the day. Lots of seating, lots of plug ins, and free wifi. I love how bright and airy it is here, too. Definitely is the best spot for a sunny spring or summer day. On Tuesdays, they do $5 Taco Tuesday which is such a steal! For $5 you get two tacos with your protein of choice (carne asada or chicken). I decided to try this since I got the quesadilla last time. Some of the cuts of meat were pretty grisly/fatty which was a bit of a turn off, but overall they were good. I also got the chips, salsa, and guac on the side. I think next time I would skip the salsa as it was super chunky and not a salsa texture at all, and had no kick to it. The guac was really good though! I wouldn't say it's the best coffee shop I've ever been to, but the atmosphere here is so bright and cheery that I'll definitely still keep coming back when I'm looking for a change of scenery that isn't my desk at home! Plus, did I mention they have mimosa flights?

Myself and a couple of my friends decided to come here to grab a coffee before our walk. I've been to Farm 12 a handful of times for brunch, but this was my first time visiting Fika. It's a lot bigger than I expected it to be! Definitely very spacious and would be a good spot to work remote or have coffee dates with friends. They have a case of pastries, cookies, etc. We didn't indulge this time around, but they did have some stuff that looked tasty! They also have a cold case when you enter that has light snacks and kid-friendly drinks like juice, chocolate milk, etc. They had a fun seasonal menu out in addition to their regular drinks - I went with the Campfire Cold Brew which was served with a marshmallow cold foam and marshmallows on type. Really cute presentation! The drink itself was tasty and the perfect pick-me-up for our walk. All of the baristas here are incredibly kind, but I do have to echo the sentiments on the wait here. It's pretty regularly crazy busy, and even on a day where it wasn't tooo bad we were waiting 15 minutes or so for all of us to get our drinks after paying. We'll definitely be back in the future and I can't wait to try more of their seasonal drinks and a pastry next time.

BEN'S ESPRESSO: A NAME SO PERFECT IT MAKES OTHER NAMES QUESTION THEIR CAREER CHOICES…read more Let me tell you about the sheer BRILLIANCE of naming your coffee establishment "Ben's Espresso." The audacious simplicity! The raw courage to just put a guy's name - not just any name, but BEN - right there in front of "Espresso." While other cafes are out here with names like "The Daily Grind" or "Beans & Dreams," Ben just walked in and said "Yeah, it's my espresso joint. Deal with it." The apostrophe in "Ben's" - PERFECTION. The way it curves like a coffee bean that's achieved enlightenment. That tiny punctuation mark is doing more emotional heavy lifting than a barista during morning rush. It's saying "This is Ben's place" with the confidence of someone who knows exactly what they're doing with horseradish pudding. OH YES, THE HORSERADISH PUDDING. Let's pause our name appreciation to discuss this crime against traditional dessert expectations that somehow works so well it makes me question everything I know about dairy-based foods. It's like if wasabi decided to go to culinary school, dropped out, and then achieved its dreams anyway. The way it simultaneously clears your sinuses and soothes your soul is nothing short of supernatural. But back to that name - BEN'S ESPRESSO. Three syllables of pure naming nirvana. It's like if Shakespeare and a coffee roaster had a baby and that baby grew up to be really good at naming things. The understated confidence! The bold declaration of ownership! The casual dropping of "Espresso" like it's no big deal! Their horseradish pudding arrives like a fever dream you never want to wake up from - creamy, punchy, and somehow making perfect sense despite everything you know about pudding saying it shouldn't. It's the kind of dessert that makes you want to write poetry, but your sinuses are too clear to focus on metaphors. I've started a weekly appreciation circle where we just stand around saying "Ben's Espresso" in different tones of voice while eating spoonfuls of that magnificent root vegetable pudding concoction. Sometimes we cry. Sometimes we laugh. Sometimes our nasal passages achieve transcendence. The name is so perfect that other coffee shops have been seen adding unnecessary words to their names out of sheer intimidation. But you can't compete with perfection. You can't compete with BEN'S ESPRESSO. You especially can't compete with a place confident enough to serve a pudding that feels like a gentle face punch from a velvet ghost. Five stars for the name - its minimalist perfection brings tears to my eyes. INFINITE stars for whoever looked at horseradish and thought "You know what this needs? To be pudding." I've started a support group for people overwhelmed by both the simplicity of the name and the complexity of their signature dessert. We meet weekly, our sinuses clearer than our thoughts. P.S. I heard someone suggest they should add more words to their name, and Ben himself just silently slid them a bowl of horseradish pudding. No words needed. Pure power move. P.P.S. The horseradish pudding doesn't just sit in a bowl - it LOUNGES in it, like it knows something about the universe that we're all still trying to figure out. Note: This review was written while experiencing what I can only describe as a religious experience involving both the perfect simplicity of the name "Ben's Espresso" and the paradoxical existence of horseradish pudding. My sinuses have never been clearer, and my appreciation for apostrophes has never been stronger.
