I've always had a great experience and have been stopping by a few times a week now because, why not? I usually order black tea with oat milk and a packet of sugar and it's always consistent. I used to stop by the 19th Street location every day on my way to work, usually getting a 32 oz. energy drink and something to eat. I really like the employees because they were always friendly, polite, and understood that many of us were traveling to work and were in a hurry. Unfortunately, I had several negative experiences with the person who I was told was the manager. On multiple occasions, she was standing inside taking inventory while there were long lines on both sides of the building. On one occasion, the customer in front of me politely reminded her that people were trying to get to work and that inventory could be done during a slower time. Her response to that customer was rude and dismissive. I initially chalked it up to a one-time occurrence and continued coming back. Then, on another visit, she was the person working the window. When I pulled up, she asked, "Can I make you your white chocolate mocha or something?" I politely explained that I had never ordered a coffee drink there and that I always get one of the energy drink along with the other four ladies riding with me. Her response was simply, "Whatever. What do you need?" That interaction was the last we all stopped by there. It's unfortunate because I genuinely like the other girls who work there. They have always been friendly, professional, and considerate of the fact that customers may be on their way to work and need timely service. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because one employee's attitude can make a big difference in whether customers choose to keep coming back. read more

I always eye the eggnog latte sign that this place has out because I'm a sucker for eggnog. Finally, I decided to swing by and try it. They had the Christmas Cookie Chai as a holiday special, though, so that's what I ended up ordering. Phenomenal taste and just the right temperature right when I received it. Also, since Cafe Elite is a chain, I think they are able to have slightly lower prices than other one-off coffee stands. Great work, team! read more

Young new hire made me the worst Italian soda ive ever had. Asked fir extra creamy she put a drop like she was making an Americano no ice left because i had to ask three times for more cream. Service was on point. I asked for a white chocolate blended frappe with peanut butter and she asked if I wanted the peanut butter syrup or real peanut butter. Of course I opted for real! And so glad I did. Tasted like a legit peanut butter milkshake just with caffeine. She also made my daughters "coffee" special with whipped cream on top of her chocolate milk. First off, my girlfriend has never like this place but would always go with me because I like it, but we're not going back after that last experience. For one, no prices or specifics are given on the menu. I ordered a 32oz chai (I was very thirsty) and I expected it to be hot because that's what I usually get and I didn't realize the lady didn't ask if I wanted it hot or iced this time. When they bring out the drinks I noticed it was iced and said oh sorry I wanted it hot, and they said oh the 32oz dirty chai is only iced (doesn't say anywhere 32oz is iced only) and so I say I'm sorry but can I get it hot please, and the lady looks at me with disgust saying you really want us to make it hot? Then says to her partner how they don't want this anymore and is visibly upset with us. Doesn't show any courtesy or say anything when I say thank you have a nice daywhen we do get the right drink. Most the time it's a great experience but that lady made it so I never want to come back cause she clearly didn't want my service. Setup was terrible wasn't even sure how to get in and once I was in not even sure it was the right place had the big menu on the wall but no one came to the front for about 3-5 minutes and there's literally no one in the there so I just walked out I'm big on always having someone at the front of store and once again this place does not have that just hear workers chatting in the back but no one comes to the front and there's a camera too which tells me they don't watch there security if they didn't notice me walking around the front can't even comment on the drinks itself because I never received it so this review is based off just the service or therefore lack of smh read more

My Significantly Better Half isn't quite the espresso snob that I am, so this is a regular stop for her--thus for me too if I happen to be driving. Service is friendly, they have punch cards, and my SBH get's the flavory-sugar infused caffeine injection she's looking for. Plain lattes are so-so. I would seek out one of Tacoma's elite places (Valhalla, Blue Beard, Metronome, Corina) if you're serious about your espresso. When I had asked my boyfriend to order our drinks, she then looked at him like he was stupid, and re-corrected him on the size and asked for sure if that's what he wanted and so we both end up paying for 32 ounce drinks that we didn't need to be that large of course she offered that because that's the largest and highest price and then proceeds to tell me they use a special brand of their own Lotus because Lotus is a plant-based energy and it's pretty hard to find nowadays so she assured me that they had it and then I see them pull out to rockstar cans.. that I could go grab from the gas station that is worse than anything I've ever put in my mouth. Long story short we were fooled and lied to and ended up paying $16 for two 30 ounce drinks that we didn't even touch because of how disgusting they were with zero flavor. Asked for a Carmel macchiato not stirred. (Since the girls always just stir them instead of stacking them like they're suppose to be) The girl hands me my drink (stirred) and goes "can I ask why you don't like it stirred? I had to tell her how a macchiato is made!! She said none of the girls ever make them the right way... the best part of it is, she didn't even ask to remake it the right way for me. I ended up going to the TCC stand, had a girl make it the right way... ended up with white coffee grounds all in it when I ordered regular coffee. Nothing like sucking up grounds. 2 girls at the one across from TCC make my drink good and consistent, one of them works the early shift weekdays til like 10am and I don't know about the other. And down the street at the one by Cheney stadium Kerry Amber and Caitlin (weekend) make consistently good drinks. If they're not working though I try to avoid that location .
