This Pleasanton location resides in Vintage Plaza on the corner of Bernal and Vintage Dr & Utah St. There is ample seating outside with shade, the inside is small but there's plenty of seating. This is the best Starbucks location I've been to in Pleasanton. First of all, the ambiance is very nice. There are enough tables for every single of group that comes in, and in the morning and in the afternoons when the sun comes in, the entire vibe of the shop is very nice. My Mock Trial team comes in here every weekend to hold meetings and we like how there's a reservation option so we always have enough space. The service is wonderful -- they always leave the cutest notes, and the drinks are obviously very delicious (thank you for giving me a lot of whipped cream on my frappe). The outside seating is very pleasant. Also, whoever runs the music knows what they're doing -- their playlist is perfect!! read more

We visited the Starbucks on Bernal Ave on Dec 31 and were surprised to learn that the store was already out of eggnog. They were late to add eggnog to their offerings in Dec and early to stop it. WTH? As customers, it was reasonable to expect that a core holiday product like eggnog would be available through the New Year's weekend, at least through January 4. Running out on New Year's Eve suggests a significant breakdown in seasonal inventory planning and very poor customer service. The experience was made worse by the fact that we placed our order through Uber Eats and then decided to enjoy a family walk approximately two miles from our home to pick it up. On the way, we were genuinely excited--remarking on the irony that, at the very end of the holiday season, we were finally treating ourselves to an eggnog latte from Starbucks and also thinking back how the woke Starbucks had canceled eggnog in the previous few years. Discovering at the store that eggnog was unavailable turned that moment into a major holiday disappointment. In the future we will go to Philz, Pete's and Inklings. Suggest you do, too. read more

The store and staff are very nice. The vibe is nice. Music is good and can be heard without interrupting people talking at the same table. About the 10th time I have been here. The store is always clean and good WiFi. Pretty good indoor seating. This location has a busy To Go customer population. The two baristas running the store right now are doing great! Happy, friendly, focused, and quick. The location is next to a noisy street so sitting outside in the plentiful seating in that side is hard. I like to stay in touch with friends by meeting up for coffee. Lately, I've been meeting with a buddy who lives in Livermore at this particular Starbucks located in Pleasanton. This is a newer Starbucks which borders Livermore. It's located at the corner of Stanley and Valley where this property was once a field. Now there are some shops and condos built at this location. The staff is very friendly and service is great. No interior seating due to Covid-19 restrictions but the parking lot is large enough for a coffee meetup tailgate. read more

There is nothing wrong with the food and coffee, plus the environment is calm and a good place to study. Although most of the employees were kind, these 2 girls I have run into a couple of times were very rude. Not sure if they are teenagers or slightly older, but I've never seen so much attitude come from the employee while talking to the customer. I was kind to both of them but they did NOT reciprocate. Me and my family have to purposefully AVOID this Starbucks out of fear that we will deal with one of those 2 girls. read more

Hmmmm...I'm not sure why the reviews are so negative about this specific Starbucks. I come here occasionally while I wait for my oldest daughter when she's in her Kajukenbo class that's nearby. The barista/cashier that helped me today was very personable and nice. I think that he was the supervisor/manager because I heard him tell one of the other workers to take their break. He greeted me and made sure that my order was correct ie. repeated my order. Normally, the baristas never repeat my order even though I customize most of my drink orders. Today, nearly every table/chair was occupied; but, my youngest and I found a table with two chairs and sat for a few minutes. I wish that I got his name; but, he was very nice and smiled the entire time. Yes, I got my drink very quickly too. It was a grande this time (normally, I order venti or trenta); but, very strong. The employees were very sweet and welcoming but the lead manager or whatever was really rude, didnt listen to a word i said, and gave me the items I wasnt waiting for 3 times but left out the one item i was waiting for. I understand a morning rush and theres stressfull situations but this was an unprofessional way of handling a situation. Especially when the employees are handling it more respectfully. read more

As a daily Starbucks customer I have seen it all. It seems that most Starbucks have mostly good and trained employees. There might be 1 or 2 that are in the wrong job but not very often. The really nice thing is that there are usually 1 or 2 superstars in each store. Mila is that person here in this store. She is the Holy Grail..the Tri-fecta !! Excellent at preparing drinks, very knowledgeable and the best personality. Always friendly and smiling. She recognizes guests and says hello right away. She calls out the drinks that are ready which a lot of baristas don't do. If she ever made a bad drink (which I really doubt) I'm sure she would redo it with a smile. That really makes a difference. I have been struggling with a major Starbucks withdrawal. Yes, I could have driven through a Starbucks drive thru. However, I didn't want to wait. I'm a bit impatient. Finally, my go to Starbucks reopened. Customers can only order through the mobile app. I ordered one of their featured Spring iced drink - Iced Golden Ginger Drink. It's a golden ginger blend with turmeric essence shaken with flavors of pineapple and ginger in coconut milk and ice. It was very delicious and refreshing. Omg! It had a bit of spicy bite! I will definitely go back and order another one of these yummy iced drink. read more

EXCEPTIONAL customer service here! This is my story, kind of long, worth the type and read for you! Ordered two coffees (one for myself + my son) usually only ordering one coffee, once back in my vehicle noticed only had one. Went back inside to the pick up area. A gentleman working behind the counter asked to see my reciept of purchase. After showing, within minutes he made me two additional coffees. After confirming now there are 3 made but only 2 purchased, he verified, let me know not to worry about paying. What??? He would not accept payment. Definitely left a $10.00 tip for their team! I love studying here, the employees genuinely care for customer service; all drinks/food are quickly prepared and I've overheard shift managers providing constructive criticism to the employees and teaching how to make better lattes/cappuccinos, sounds like they care for improvement. Normally workout at the Orange theory across the way, so I've never been to this location. Went in for a simple black small cold brew. Easiest thing to process. There was about 2-4 baristas working. None of them really smiling or looking like they actually enjoy what they were doing. It was completely empty. I was the only one inside that ordered. It literally takes 30 seconds tops for them to pour a cold brew. Instead, my barista continued to restock their supplies after she took my order. I stood there for 5 minutes waiting for my drink. I was the only person in the store! They weren't busy at all! My coffee also started to spill while picking it up. Very disappointing... read more

A great neighborhood Starbucks that's just down the street from my house! Whenever my girlfriend and I need to be productive, this is our go-to spot to get some work done! Some Starbucks tend to get really busy and in turn, get pretty noisy but this spot has always had a super chill ambiance. Workers here are super friendly and there are usually other people in there getting work done as well so it definitely sets a good atmosphere to be productive. Drinks here are relatively the same drinks you would get at any other Starbucks,. My go-to is a vanilla cold brew with extra vanilla cream. Soo good! Outside tables are nice for getting work done on a beautiful day but I do have to say that they could work on cleaning the outside tables more often. A couple times we've been there, there has been crumbs or sticky drink stains. But overall, great spot! read more

Our family comes here at least once a week and order Frappuccinos on most days. They do an awesome job here and work really hard. They're also friendly and welcoming which is always a plus! They are definitely respecting all Covid guidelines and are masked and keep 6-feet plays between guests. Of course there is no indoor seating available at this time, but when doors do open regularly we'll be making this our coffee and computer home base. read more

Unfortunately this one is sub par due to its cleanliness, or lack there of. I live in the Vintage Apartments next to it and thought I'd go broke spending so much there so often. Luckily I won't. Their out door patio appears to have never been washed down. Stains of coffee and crumbs everywhere. When you use the front door you walk past a usually full and always leaking garbage can. Simply cleaning the facility on a regular basis or more often would improve the ambiance for me but I've been there a dozen times on different days of the week at different times of the day and it's always filthy. read more

If you come to this location, don't expect to enjoy the patio. Went outside and tried to come in to get a straw and the door was locked. I knocked for 5 minutes many many many times and nothing. I had to climb past other and onto a concrete side wall to escape. And all they said was yes that door is locked bc of Covid. WTF? That's so stupid. Indoor you can drink coffee without a face mask but the outdoors you can't. A little signage would have been appreciated. read more

I love this Starbucks! I can tell that it has a very homey vibe when I walk in, I see all of the flyers up on the bulletin board, games, and coloring available for kids, plenty of tables and chairs, and puppy treats for dogs. There are always students studying and people working, so it's never empty, but quiet enough to work. The baristas are awesome! I can tell they all work well together and always are ok with making my crazy drinks when it's slow. They handle the rush well. Obviously, they are close right now because of the virus, but before they were closed, they were practicing a lot of cleanliness and precautions. read more

I'll admit that they have one or two less-than-completely-charming folks but i was chalking that up to it being an newer location and baristas that get a little tight during the morning rush. This Starbucks does OK for quality of coffee but seems like it needs help with service. I have seen just bad service - examples: 1) I once went in there and waited I think a good moment for some one to even recognize that I was there even though there were 3+ people working. 2) I witnessed an employee treat a teenager poorly (I would have stepped in but did not think I could keep my cool so just had to let that pass) 3) multiple times they are slow mobile ordering (also a 3-8 minute window to me seems too big of a window - either you are going to have to wait when you get there or your coffee will be cold almost every time I think?, they need to tighten their specficity 4) Generally seems poorly run - they had orders wrong for in store in mobile. I think they need a better or more management. The location is great and the store itself is nicely laid out, this should be a wonderful place to visit for people living in the area. read more

I was desperate for coffee and I figured that this place would have improved since my last review but damn they have gotten worse! So unorganized and I have been waiting 30 minutes for my damn drink....and their excuse it we have a lot of mobile order. I came here on a weekday afternoon so it wasn't crowded. The area was super clean and the staff was very friendly. I was asking about their tea and the lady serving me was very helpful and I even took her suggestion to mix the peach and mint teas! Very refreshing. The tables here are bigger so I was able to spread out a little to get some work done. Power outlets in the floor, and free WiFi of course. I have been coming to this Starbucks since the day it opened as I live right down the street. I have never found anything other than excellent customer service and a warm and friendly environment. I can speak very highly of the manager Julie who It's so warm and friendly, always has a huge smile on her face, is incredibly professional and supportive of her staff and runs a tight ship. From my vantage there are hundreds of us daily regulars and the weekends are always packed. To have this many repeat and new patrons you know they are all doing an outstanding job serving our community. I would like to give a shout out to Tiffany. She is amazing. She knows all of us "regulars" by name and all of our drinks down to every last detail. Tiffany takes great pride in her work and loves to laugh. She make sure you are greeted with a kind welcome and leave with a smile on your face. Her multitasking skills are beyond compare with a huge focus on detail as she make sure that I never get caffeine in my drink. Tiffany is the backbone of this store. She supports all aspects of the business and each and every staff as if they were her family. Tiffany is an outstanding professional. Thank you Tiffany! Shout outs also to Anthony. I spend a lot of time at this Starbucks and find it an overall friendly atmosphere. There are a few improvements I'd like to see employed and more stars will be earned: 1. Standing at the register waiting while workers passby is disquieting. Extend a friendly greeting and "I'll be right with you!" 2. Too much ice and too little drink, not okay, but this has been rare 3. Here's the biggie, wipe down your tables & chairs more often! This is probably the best Starbucks around. Me & my coworker are both ex-partners (8yrs for me & 10yrs for her). This store always has it together and make us miss the craziness of morning rushes! We admire their hard work! The manager must be a veteran of the old Starbucks way because you do not see this at the other neighborhood Starbucks! This is honestly the quickest and most excellent service I have ever received at a Starbucks location. At other locations I typically have to wait a long time for my order, but the staff here is absolutely stellar. Tiffany greeted me with a big smile and had my egg bites ready within only a couple of minutes. Lanae also made my flat white absolutely perfect. It seemed fairly busy but I still had my food and drink in-hand within 3 minutes. I would definitely recommend this location over some of the others I've been to, for both the speed and quality of service. read more
