The flavor can vary quite a bit depending on who makes it, which is a little disappointing for a chain known for consistency. I had one of the most upsetting experiences today. My friend and I came in together to study. There were two small tables available when we arrived, so we pushed them together so we could each have space for our laptops. The store was busy, and someone sat alone next to us on the long bench-style seating attached to the wall (if you know the layout, you'll know what I mean). A woman who seemed to be the Starbucks manager--an older white woman with grayish hair--approached us and asked if we could "give up" one of the tables for the person next to us. The request felt extremely uncomfortable and targeted, especially because everyone around started staring at us. If we said no, we would've felt like the "selfish" ones in front of a full cafe. But the small tables are too tiny for two people to share while studying. What really upset me was that there were multiple other tables around, and yet we were the only ones asked. We also happened to be the only Asian customers there, and the only ones who came as a pair. The manager didn't ask anyone else--just us. It felt humiliating and discriminatory. To make it worse, we later found out the man she was trying to help didn't even want a table--he apologized to *us*! Despite this, the manager persisted, claiming there was a new "policy" that tables couldn't be moved, and even told us that only paying customers could use tables because we were sharing one drink. We ended up leaving, throwing away our drinks, and canceling our study plans, completely devastated and shocked by how we were treated. People were even recording us during the interaction, and I've never felt more humiliated in a public place. This used to be a Starbucks we visited regularly, but after today, I don't think I can ever go back. Whether this was intentional or not, the way we were approached--harshly, insistently, and only us--felt racially motivated and deeply unfair read more

Frequented this location several times while in the area. Convenient location in the Plainview Centre Mall. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Ample parking outside in the lot. Order ahead and pick up in the store. Most times I order while in the store especially to see what items they have in the baked goods or sandwiches. Drinks usually order ahead of time via the app, which is very convenient. Don't forget to redeem stars before they expire...as the grace period is over. read more

A very loud and quite crowded Starbucks. I did manage to find a power outlet in the atrium seating area, but couldn't really stick around because of the noise, both from the espresso machine and the very loud talkers in the room. If I could give this store zero stars I would. Not only was the staff disorganized but it was filthy. There were 5-6 staff members doing absolutely nothing while one person made drinks and one did the baked items. I used the app to order as I usually do but apparently, according to the cashier there was a glitch and it sent the order to the wrong location. I waited 20 minutes and had asked several times about my order before someone realized nothing I ordered was being processed. Upon them realizing this they had me speak to the cashier and she told me I would have to pay for the whole order and wait for my items even though she admitted that the app was glitching and that it has been happening to other customers. Overall I'm disappointed with way it was handled. I had to call customer service in order to get a refund and ended up leaving with out my coffees. read more

Oh, I'm sorry. Was asking you to do your job a little too much? That's kind of the vibe I get everytime I come here. The barista never looks like she wants to make any drinks. Also, I want to get what I pay for, so fill my drink to the top. Adding water to fill it to the top is not what I want to see... To make matters worse, expect to wait a long time for your drink. I'm a big fan of this Starbucks, with the exception of the parking lot being really chaotic everything else I'm favorable of. It's actually quite a small Starbucks, much smaller than other ones I've been to, but there are so many windows in the place it's light and airy and it's a good place to come and get work done, as long as you're able to find a spot. The workers here are really friendly and always greet you with a smile. The coffee is consistent and they have a good selection of food to choose from. I can't believe I never wrote a review about my favorite Starbucks store (since the huge one in Easy Meadow shut down years and years ago hahaha). Obviously, depending on which staff is there the experience varies a little bit. But for most of my visits, the managers and ASM's are very professional and most of the staff are polite even when they look like they're having a miserable day. Do they make the best beverage ever all the time? Not necessarily, but the few times that my order had been sub-standard, the store would quickly correct it. And this is the only location where a shift knew the Starbucks refill policy correctly without me having to dig through the website and point them to the policy in their beverage resource manual. I tried to use a reward on a salad that they ran out on and they "made the moment right" by offering me a free beverage even after I said that I would just grab a sandwich instead. The outdoor seating is quite nice when the weather is good. The indoor seating is limited but to be expected from the size of the store. Parking is ample because it's inside the mall, but it can also get crowded during the morning rush (obviously). Use mobile ordering if you don't want to wait in the line! read more

I have been to many Starbucks locations in my lifetime, but none that made me want to actually put a review in. This specific location is by far the worst out of any I have visited. I have been 4-5 times and every single time I go my order is wrong. Matcha Frap with no whip cream came with whip cream (2 separate times), ordered a flat white with almond milk and received just a hot coffee with almond milk. Peppermint mocha Frap once came correct..however it was completely overflowing with the drink dripping down all sides of the cup. All of this is capitalized by a staff that has an attitude and a manager who doesn't seem to know any of this is happening. On one occasion I went to order and before I could finish the barista turned to one of her co workers to laugh at something and turned back to me and said "what?" In a rude tone. I love this Starbucks and it is located in a great shopping center with a ton of other stores (Modell's, Ruby and Jenna, Sleepy's, Denny's Kids, NY&Co, Annie Sez). There is also a Chase Bank, Robeks smoothie, serve yourself yogurt shop, diner, European wax center, bakery, liquor store, massage envy, ShopRite, pizza place, Asian restaurant, yoga and Pilates studio, and urgent care centers needless to say this place is located in an awesome shopping center and it's a one stop shop! Now on to the Starbucks. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. They have gotten my drink order wrong once in maybe the million times I've been here and when it was wrong, they happily fixed it. There is a lot of seating inside but it can get crowded at times so I recommend coming early if you have work to do all day and want to get a clutch spot. They recently added a new outdoor seating area surrounded by a little garden and I must say I absolutely love it! There are also the standard benches that have always been there, definitely no lack of places to sit, just depends what you are looking to do. It is always crowded when I come here but the place is fully staffed and no matter how long the line is I never seem to be waiting long at all! The staff is very efficient and works hard to make sure you're not waiting long! Unlike some Starbucks I've been to, where coworkers chat up a storm or flirt with each other, that's not the case here! The staff is professional friendly and courteous. What more could you ask for?! Highly recommend stopping in for your favorite drink next time you are in the area. read more

I noticed the drink menus are bit less populated nowadays, which doesn't bother me much and they are serving more food and baked goods, I'm also on board with that! Ordered a small Frappuccino with no whipping cream. While waiting for my coffee, I saw a female barista making a small Frappuccino and pouring whipping cream on it. The barista checked the order label then scooped out the whipping cream with a clear coffee lid and served me. I said "I don't want whipping cream." She said "I know. I took it off." Unfriendly, rude baristas who make subpar drinks is what you'll find at this crowded, messy location. Service is always slow so be sure to mobile order if you're in a rush. Location is convenient so I've tried on multiple occasions to give this shop a try--I am always disappointed. On recyclable red cup giveaway day, the sole barista on duty was curt and overwhelmed. She got my drink order wrong and when I asked for it to be fixed, she told me that the lids were too hard to open and close and that I'd have to do it myself!! I live walkable distance but also close enough to Woodbury and Syosset starbucks - in terms of studying or meeting someone here for coffee- there's only maybe 3 tables large enough to feel comfortable and not on top of a different party- would recommend the other locations for that. But for a quick caffeine pick-me-up, definitely reliable. Staff is friendly! read more

OK, so the coffee tastes like Starbucks coffee here. Shocker. But here are some things you should know about this location... -Small interior so you get a cold blast when someone opens the door to enter. -Only about 6 tables with 2 chairs each. Be prepared to hear every other table and have them listen in on your chatter about an upcoming Yelp Brunch Series :-D -I think the AC was on while I was there. It's December. Say whaaaaaa. -Staff was friendly and competent. Bc of this the coffee is always made correctly and the line moves fast. -There are some outdoor tables and benches (which would 5-star this bad boy) but they are obviously seasonal. -When it was packed the wifi went down a few times (curse you wifi) ((jk I luvs ya)) -They also have the best cheesesteaks in town {-----just made this up. (Cooler if it did though) So, while the shopping center parking can be a nightmare, come here to get your caffeine kick. Just don't plan on staying there to drink it. read more

It's sad when all the Baristas at your neighborhood Starbuck's know your name. It's even sadder that they already know what you order and have it ready when they see you walking in the door at your "normal" time. Despite all the sadness surrounding my Starbuck's addiction (I don't drink coffee, just tea and eat the bagels here), the staff here rocks. They are extremely efficient (no matter how many people are in line) and friendly to boot. HORRIBLE SERVICE. 15 mins for a frappuccino. I asked y & they said they are extremely busy. Guests who ordered after me got their frapp before me. When I asked for a manager, someone said I'm the manager on duty & I should speak with Jessica - the store manager who doesn't work at a coffee shop on weekends. It took me 25 mins to get into Starbucks & get out extremely disappointed. I'm not sure if anyone actually reads these reviews & acts upon them or if corporate even cares. We will see.
