Wanted to give a high five to this busy, lovely Starbucks. Every Starbucks has its own character and this one is unique. I've been taking my sister back and forth to the airport quite a bit. On the picking up side, I actually enjoy parking and walking around the airport while I'm waiting. I love airports because they are anonymous and that's very freeing. And I always finish my wait at this Starbucks. I get something Starbuckian with whipped cream and drink half and go into an insulin coma. But it is good. I look around and this has a genuine comfy feel - for an airport place. The people who work there are patient because everyone is struggling to get money out of their bags or luggage but everyone gets a smile. Nice job! read more

Starbucks near C1-9 on June 7. They closed the store more than five minutes before nine. I said "Excuse me!" from the side where it was not barricaded and they all pretended not to hear. Finally I said it loud enough and they said "We are closed. " I said "You closed early?" The lady looked at her watch, made a face, but no excuse, apology or "Let me get you what you need. This is just outside C security check point to the right. If I hadn't been actively looking for it (believe me, that chai was gonna happen) I might have missed it. It's one of the newer Starbucks at Sky Harbor & I love that they made it more like an actual cafe, with plenty of seating. Granted, even though the person who took my order wrote my name on my cup, the person who made it did not call it out, instead they said the type of drink..... a woman grabbed my drink (& so did I) & although I tried reasoning with her & telling her my name was on the cup, she insisted it was hers.... people who are caffeine deprived are scary, but fortunately in this location, you know they are not armed, LOL!. One is in baggage claim and the other is just before you go through security In addition, while I rarely get food at Starbuck's I was excited to see vegetable frittata on the menu at this locale. Be prepared for a longer than normal wait. Understaffed which is leading to burnt coffee and slow service. I have to say that I use this Starbucks basically every week as I prepare for my trip of the week. This has got to be the most difficult SBUX in Arizona, and yet the staff does there best to crank it out. My biggest complaint, they ask for your name when you order but then never call your name on the other end.....and in one of the countries largest and busiest airports there is going to be a couple of the same orders. Most rude manager I've dealt with in awhile. I simply ordered a tea with cream, but asked for coconut milk because I have a dairy allergy. She tried to charge me for a full latte stating that they had to charge me for the very small amount of coconut milk I'd asked for. I have never had this issue at any other Starbucks. To top it off, I don't know how you manage to mess up tea, but it was very burnt/bitter tasting. I'll be going across the way to Lola next time. read more

I'm not sure what was going on today but every thing I ordered today had a problem. I ordered a coconut latte, I got a caramel latte instead; they had to change it. I ordered some cakes for me and family, they skipped mine and when I went back to order the classic coffee cake, I got the cinnamon coffee cake instead! The cashier who took our order was perfectly fine and very nice but the persons who executed the order did not do very well today. I guess it wasn't their day! At the end I accidentally threw away my coffee cup's lid, so I asked for another. My drink was a tall and they gave me a grande lid! No wonder I couldn't close it! I asked for help and the cashier came and helped me and she said, "it won't close coz they gave you a grande lid". I don't like to write negative reviews for a one time not-so-good experience but for a brand like Starbucks known for consistent great customer service, this was not up to par guys. I was here in the early morning coming from a flight from San Antonio for a connecting flight to Long Beach Ca. and I needed a soothing frappe, plus a mild jolt after those dosing naps. Well I've ordered the Coconut Mocha frappe, which was was okay, I should've asked for extra blended because it got kinda icy and couldn't taste much of the mocha. This guys were prepared early, four people working in the morning? thats great! no long lines, and I got my order within minutes. I have been standing in line for more than 25 minutes and have only moved forward 6 places. The drinks seem to come out at a sufficient speed, however, the 4 people behind the counter can't seem to check people out in less than 5-6 minutes per person. A busy Starbucks that's located just inside the Terminal 4 TSA checkpoint, they are apparently never going to be "good" at it. Busy, slow, in between, it doesn't matter - they are consistently incompetent. It is a mistake to order here, their disorganization and ambivalence about getting your order right (they're usually morose, sometimes rude, and never cheerful) is chronic. And some dirty water flowing from the back, under the door and out to the front of the cafe, today. Never going back, for real this time. Learned my lesson. read more
