Your are welcomed by a shelf of merchandise, and walk through to get to the counter where you can order, and find humans. They were quick to take my order, but the cafe feel is lost. As I sit here and watch it's literally a constant highway of people passing by. The pleasantry of "How are you" and the polite response "Good, you?" Is the majority of conversation. I ask myself how are they actually doing in their speed walk in and out to simply get their order. Service was quick, and polite. The oatmilk caramel latte was tasty, and as expected. The kale and mushroom bites were made to Starbucks specs... Hot as lava so if you bite them you won't taste anything for weeks. that's a norm, so I put little consideration into that. This is how I received my drink. I paid $7.70 for this. If I pay for a 24 oz drink I should receive a 24 oz drink. As you can see this is only 3/4 of the way full and then they filled it with whip ( keep in mind this drink also has ice in it& no I did not take a single sip before this picture). This is unacceptable. I should have had them remake this but I didn't want to have to embarrass myself in a full lobby looking like a Karen. Next time fill my drink to the brim and put the whip on top. Like why did you even put that lid on there? How were you satisfied serving me this? Receiving this made me really upset and it did not satisfy me. I expect a lot more from you Starbucks. This is our go-to Starbucks in the Oregon City downtown area, because of the great coffee, nice staff, cleanliness, and the drive through. We have tried other coffee shops with drive throughs, but keep coming back to this one. The baristas have all been really great at making our drinks and also are personable. Sometimes during the day there is a line at the drive through, but it isn't ever too lengthy....and it hightens the anticipation for a quality drink! read more

Stopped at this Starbucks yesterday. A tall bald guy who looked like he was the manager came to the front after about five minutes of waiting and asked if anyone had taken our order yet. He seemed distracted and a little irritated even. We said no and I ordered an iced pumpkin chai. I said, "can I get that with soy milk?" The barista guy said. "No problem I can do that" When I got my drink I noticed it looked different than usual with like the cute foamy top. I almost took a sip but had second thoughts and confirmed with the barista who made it "hey this is all soy milk right?" She said "no it's half and half we can't make the soft top with soy milk" I'm super lactose intolerant and vegan. If I had drank that it would have made me really sick. I genuinely feel like the guy who took our order wasn't paying attention and punched in the special chai they had on the menu without double checking with me that I wanted that. In what world does someone order a drink with soy milk and you give them a drink with dairy in it? When we left he was giving and interview. Anyways it's funny that this guy is the manager considering he literally almost poisoned someone with his carelessness. Any other barista would have said " hey, did you want the special because we make that with a half and half cold foam or did you just want a regular soy pumpkin chai?" Keep in mind my exact order was "an iced pumpkin chai with soy". That guy is a terrible barista. Always double check your drinks with him. read more

This Starbucks is near where I get my car serviced, and since the car dealer no longer has a coffee station due to Covid, I always grab a beverage here to enjoy while I wait for my car. I come to this store every week in the evening for a coffee as a treat for after my errands. Usually I am met with the lovely ladies at the register who are kind, quick and efficient and I look forward to it all week. The quality of service and coffee has always been consistent and that's why I like it. Recently I went in to grab my coffee and a new (to me at least) lady, Bailey, was taking the orders. I stood in the front of the line for probably ten minutes while her and the young blonde worker with glasses gossiped through their headphones even using profanity! Then she begrudgingly took my order after I was forced to interrupt and got it wrong after another ten minutes of gossip. I come here regularly. Weekdays and weekends. Weekday drive thru time is so good. They get you in and out. But weekend drive thru time is insane. 15-20 minute wait times on sat and Sunday. It appears that Starbucks at the Oregon City Shopping Center, Oregon City, Oregon, does not support Veterans. This is certainly sad with Memorial Day approaching. I tend to go here a lot for it is sort of convenient on the way to work. Other locations are a bit more convenient for less time at stop lights, but I do find I frequent this location a lot. The people are friendly, but they don't have any other options for soy milk but one. How about some Almond milk, or coconut milk...something other than soy? Also, not a fan of their food..pricey and the fact that it comes from packages...not the healthiest of stuff. Pricey for what you get I think. Their coffee is ok, and really that is the whole point. I'd prefer a... Stumptown or onefrom Whole Foods...which is organic, sustainable, and actually less expensive overall; however none are open that early and/or are convenient/accessible on the way to work.....so in a pinch Starbuckos it is! One other note..in case they see this. The layout of the store at this location, is a little awkward....people want to walk in on the left side, and though you have made it easier to walk to the right..it is still an awkward setting. I sat and did an observation of people's behavior for a class, and noticed the walking patterns of people. Just sayin' may want to re-think the layout a little bit. read more

They always make eye contact and make me feel like my little order matters to them. Even though it is a busy location, my order is usually ready in a very short time. I'm trying to use my phone to do a mobile order a month ago the store showed up today but didn't let me order. So I can't use my mobile order. Go in the store not that busy in the store. One person and the manager and then the store hits busy, five people lined up. The manage her answers the phone stays on the phone I literally have to wait eight minutes to get 2 items that takes 10 seconds to serve. What's worse is that the person behind me had one item he waited 2 more min after me. 7-10-19 6:03 am No line no drive through line. I come through this drive thru I'd say almost every morning, generally ordering the same thing, regardless of how long the line is I typically always wait, and it always moves very quickly which I really appreciate. The people working at the window are always really sweet and pleasant as well. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is due to the inconsistency of my americano from day to day, sometimes it's incredible, but from time to time it tastes really watered down and bitter. Other then that occasional hiccup I'm happy to come here and spend my $3.45 every morning. :-) read more

At what may be the single most unattractive Starbucks location in North America (I KNOW, competition is tough but... well I'd show you but it's so ugly it's hidden behind a TriMet bus on Google Streetview), I had a somewhat bland new beverage that sort of saved my life. I had this crazy notion to ride my bike to a client meeting on the other side of OC, a round trip of about 35 miles. And before doing this I consumed: 1/2 a bagel. So. Blood sugar, a little on the lowish side right about here. Meanwhile SBUX, in an attempt to salvage its stock price and outflank Cafe Ronald, has recently introduced what most of us have long known as a protein shake. Here it is a *Vivanno* blended beverage. Wow. But Katie S. swears by these things. So. I got one. There's a whole banana blended in there, along with some cocoa and a good bit of protein (21g, if you must know). If it didn't thrill my taste buds, it did deliver much needed complex carbs, protein and potassium to my metabolic functions. And I made it back from OC. Oh, the people behind the counter were quite nice and the place was full, despite a convenient drive thru. But the place itself, not on the photo-op list for this year or next. I use this Starbucks fairly regularly, but on 01/06/2015 I swung through the drive thru before my hair appointment in Oregon City. I was hoping to grab some food, and a drink. I asked for the Grilled cheese sandwich, they were out. I asked for a sandwich from their breakfast all day menu- they were out. I asked for a specific pastry, they were out. Finally I said "So No food?" And the barista got snippy with me,and said they had bistro boxes. I decided I didn't want one,and pulled ahead to get my drinks. The barista at the window had the nastiest attitude when I finally made it to the window, she didn't say Hello to me, she just took my card,ran it, gave me my drinks and that was it. Working in the customer service industry, I can understand having to deal with customers if you're having an off day.. However, all I asked for was her to do her job and have a good attitude, or at least crack a smile. They're opening a Starbucks closer to my house,and I won't have to go back to this one. I find the location to be wonderful! It's right off of 205 and I stop in at least 2 times a week on my way to work. The people are very friendly and know many of there customers buy there first names. (My step mom, co-workers, and myself) They always have great attitudes and I like it when they wear sunglasses in the drive thru. Even though they more often than not have a long drive thru line, it's worth waiting in and it always moves really fast. About as good as any Starbucks. Hit the Drive-Through on a road trip to Salem OR. Really fast. Faster than normal and uber friendly. The only real problem for this location is the traffic. This location is right by a Freeway On Ramp so during Rush Hour the traffic backs up past this locations main Entrance / Exit. read more

I have spent the past three hours here. It's a good-sized Starbucks and a very busy place. For the number of infants coming through here (I watched 3 or 4 come through today) it's surprising that there is not a changing table in the restroom. Definitely not child-friendly which is frustrating considering this location is in a child-dense, suburban area. If you don't have a kid in diapers, then this is just like any other Starbucks. This location with a Drive Thru is simply the best I've been to. They get through the lines quickly and over the years I've not once has a problem. Today was a bit of an exception as the young woman taking my order didn't know if the new Evolution was priced at $3 in the AM or only in the PM. However, this was an exception in their level of expertise and she referred me to Lisa at the window to help me. There were 12 cars in line when I arrived and in less than six minutes I had my extra hot drink in hand and was driving away happy. This included reloading my card and paying with it afterward! Stopped in to grab a cup of cold brew on the way to the airport tonight! Never have an issue finding parking, and never a very long wait. Word of caution though, starbucks app says open 24/7, which is true, but lobby is only open till 10:30!
