I haven't been here in ages due to its location isn't by where I'm from. The wait time was a little long due to only one girl was working, it was an hour before they closed & there is also a walk up window- so our server had to serve multiple people at once. I ordered the Caramel Hazelnut Mocha (iced) my kiddo got an Italian Soda. The drinks were worth the wait. The coffee was perfect. Not too strong & not to chocolate milk like some others have. I went to get coffee for the second time there. I ordered a toffee nuts and chocolate macadamia latte. When I got no, the girl was friendly, but didn't listen to any of the answers I gave when she ask questions. The latte tasted like water and espresso. I also ordered it with whole milk. I wouldn't recommend this place for coffee. There's a Starbucks up the road I don't love them but I would bypass human bean and go there. read more

The reason behind this review is because every time I come to this human bean location which is about 2 to 3 times a week, every single time that I order a 20 ounce Java chip with whip cream. They ask me if I want whip cream at least twice, even tho In my order I end with I want whip cream. The crazy part is when I pay and then receive my drink, NO WHIP CREAM ON MY DRINK But overall I love my drink, it's just that little part that's frustrating. read more

This is the Clackamas edition of the human bean regional chain of drive thru coffee shops. What can I say? Oregon looovees drive thru coffee. Normally I lead off with parking tips 'cause where i stay in the bay area easy parking isn't necessarily something you can count on. This is a drive thru chain though so parking isn't what most will be doing. There is a small surface lot that supports a walk up window assuming that you want to do that for some reason. (Pssst. you can jump the line that way, even if you do have to get out of the car) Because this place is serious about coffee it's a fairly large building, as in small starbucks size, with plenty of room for the staff to crank out coffee and light foods (sandwiches, breakfasty bagel things etc). While i've never seen a location that doesn't have a car or two (and quite often more) lining up they move with fast food like quickness. No matter what you order the goal is to get you out in five minutes or so, and they usually make that goal. Even beat it sometimes. The pricing is fair-a buck for espresso, three bucks for a great verging on truly magnificent mocha/latte (small. can get into the five dollar range with extra shots and larger sizing) which is a bit lower the competing spots across the street and is very much in line with the area. To top it all off, every order comes with a chocolate covered espresso bean, which is a very nice touch. Definitely the best drive thru/walk up/coffee to go in the area. read more

This was an amazing find. Driving early Sunday morning to go see the Oregon Trail and definitely needed a coffee to perk up. Saw this while driving down and did a quick U-turn. No seating inside is a drag, but man are the coffee options awesome. Lots of different flavors that make it hard to choose. Eventually decided on the 12 oz. Irish Cream Breve ($3.25) and an Apple Maple muffin top. The coffee must have honestly been one of the best I ever had. Extremely satisfying with rich Irish creme flavor. The muffin top was soft with a sugary maple flavor and a hint of apple. BONUS: you get a free chocolate covered coffee bean with purchase. Everything about this spot was efficient as it works out of a small hole in the middle of nowhere. Really would love to try again at other locations as well. read more

As normal at Human Bean locations the coffee was delicious. The staff was also amazing. However I ordered coffee just 24 hours apart and there was a 25 cent difference in price between the 2 days. I always order the same drink (Irish Creme Snowy Mocha, Large and hot) . I didn't argue the price difference since it was so slight but it is something to keep in mind read more

I really love this place .. I would of gave 5 stars ... but the service the past 3 months has greatly declined. So much new help and the drinks taste horrible. Then they give off the feeling that they don't want to give even average service. So they hand out frozen solid muffin tops. But don't ask for a not so frozen one . Tried a hazelnut iced latte, and was disappointed with it. The flavor of the hazelnut was on the better end of ones I've tried (it did not have an overly artificial flavor like many hazelnut syrups do). But the latte really just tasted like milk - left very little trace of espresso. Would pass on this place next time. read more

Their credit card machine was down today, so, they were at a disadvantage. The drinks are still great and those girls were hustling to crank drinks out and get all of the credit cards manually processed. I'm a fan of their almond milk latte. Even plain, it is very smooth and doesn't taste bitter like many coffee places' coffee does (I'm looking at you, DB, and your dirt you call coffee.). Right now, I like to bring it home and dump some LF eggnog in it. All in all, and great place for a good cup of java. I've already recommended this place to friends. I discovered the Human Bean by having to take an alternate route to the freeway which took me through a different city. I thought they were local to Canby, but turns out they've got one in Clackamas too which made me so happy. I love their coffees, especially the hazelnut caramel mocha. Hello, I am a very frequent customer of this location.. so I would say normally my review would be 4-5 stars but today I was greeted with the worst customer service. I pull up to the window and waited for a few minutes and finally said hello. A young girl finally answers, "hello sorry I was talking" me being a nice person was like totally ok and I ordered a SF white mocha. (She was trying to talk to her coworker/friend while I ordered...!) When I get to the window she isn't even at the window. She then proceeded to just "card?" I finally got my drink and it wasn't even sugar free.. what if this happened to someone who couldn't have sugar? I lucked out because I am a healthy teen who just is watching her health.. on top of the rudeness and messed up order she wasn't wearing a bra. This isn't a bikini barista and if you're going to go braless wear something a bit baggier not a thin white tank. This was very disappointing becaue this is by far my favorite coffee shop. I hope this location can be a little more strict on their staff. This is also not coming form an older woman.. this is coming form a teen girl who understands teens. I love this shop, reasonably priced drinks, a good variety, friendly service, and they send out coupons! Double punch Tuesdays!! So much better than that OTHER place... just saying. I will say I think they make their drinks less sweet than most other places. Which is fine if you like not very sweet coffee... I however, like my coffee the same way I like my liquor... sweet and not overly coffee (or alcoholy) tasting. So I say extra sweet and it's just right. Access is a little tricky, if you're headed east on 224, no problem, just turn right onto the street just before the building. But if you're coming from the other direction, headed towards 205, you have to take a left at the light before the coffee shop, then you cut through on a side street that sort of turns into the pacific pride gas station for a second, then turns back into the side street where the entrance to their drive through it. Then of course, to continue to 205 you have to go back out that same way, as you can't make a left onto 224. But don't let all that directional non-sense deter you! Human Bean is great! read more

Always been a fan of Human Bean coffee, but this one gets drinks wrong every time. Even when you repeat yourself over the microphone, they will get the drink wrong. Always nice people working, but make sure you triple check your drink after you get it before leaving. read more
