Really, I've been to better Starbucks'. I waited to review this particular Starbucks b/c I go here often and I felt badly giving it only a passable score, BUT, each time I've gone here, I've almost consistently received poor service. The employees have been either prissy, distracted, or unwilling to budge on employee discounts for partner numbers without a mystery "green card" that isn't required at any other Starbucks. Anyhow, the drinks/pastries here are still pretty dank and there is, usually, a good selection of pre-packaged stuff. The Vanilla Rooibos Lattes are super tasty (I recommend them). The set-up of the place is comfortable, too, although the lounging area is almost always filled. In all, I'll keep going here, but I'll also keep hoping for better service. read more

I hardly come to Starbucks because i get rude ppl EVERYTIME. Today was no different. I thought i would give Starbucks another Go since my sister gave me a Gift card for mother's day. Big mistake, Cat at this location made me feel unwelcome even though THEY made a mistake on my order.. the cashier was very nice, my order included Heavy Creamer To the top in a venti cup. I am aware this may be an extra charge, the cashier also informed me of this. Thats fine. I placed my order anyways and paid. Got my name called and the heavy creamer was about 3/4 up to the top.. i kindly informed CAT that i had asked for creamer to the top. She rudely informed me that they didnt charge me to the top and sits and lectured me about how i ordered wrong.. Girl PLEASE it is monday, i just want my coffee so i can start my day.. i informed Cat that I Specified when i ordered that I wanted it to the top, i thought they had charged it this way since the cashier confirmed.. Cat took it upon herself to make me feel unwelcome and like I did something wrong when it was a simple mistake, made me feel like i was wrong for wanting my drink the way i ordered it..i also asked for light ice, its like she added extra ice just to spite me. i was so close to just asking for a refund and re gifting this gift card. Ill stick to BlackRock coffee. They are so nice EVERYTIME. read more

I come here almost every day and order drinks for myself and my coworkers. I have had nothing but excellent customer service from ALL of the staff. I work near by and am always running in there ordering 2-3 orders. They always ask me how I'm doing and make my drinks perfectly! This is my favorite Starbucks by far! Place gets kinda packed at rush hour, so you might have a hard time finding a seat. There are plenty of electrical outlets for laptops, and the wifi works great. Oh, the coffee is good too :-) read more

I just wanted to leave my 5 stars review for Taylor. My husband and I have been visitng this location every other day. Every time I see Taylor, I am impressed how she knows all regular customers by name, how fast she is. The first day when Holidays drinks were back this year, this place was packed and she was rocking serving twice more clients than any other employer. Today, I was watching her warming up food items and I thought - I would leave this girl a review. She was prepping items so quickly, just unpacking, warming up, packing, and handling it to the clients. Drinks are always made perfectly no matter the rush. I'm pretty sure if you are a coffee drinker you have visited your share of Starbucks. This is a favorite location for me. Lately I've been hooked on the cold brew with vanilla sweet cream. This is a great place to meet up with a friend, plenty of space. Not too quiet or too loud. The team is very personable and always has great recommendations. Taylor is always a pleasure and multitasking like a pro. Big shout out to how well this team handles those difficult customers. It was my first time ordering on the Starbucks app. I am not familiar with it and I ordered it at the wrong Starbucks. I didn't have time due to my busy morning to go to the different Starbucks. I let the barista, Michelle, know my situation, insisting that I would repay for my order. She said that would not be necessary and this situation happens all the time. I usually don't go to Starbucks but it was the only coffee place in the area that I thought u could get a quick coffee and bite to eat. From the time I walked in the door until I finally got my order it was a half hour later! I couldn't believe how long it took. And then my order was wrong. By that time I was already running late and had to just take my wrong order.. both my food and drink was not what I had asked for. Extremely frustrating given their already high prices. These guys are awesome! The store is clean at all times for a very busy location. Their customer service is super is excellent! I spend time there on a daily basis watching the customers come in and out. Which almost all from what I can see are super happy. The service is quick. One teammate Nicole in particular has exceptional customer service skills in every way. She has a big smile on her face at all times. What has happened to this place?!?! I used to love the baristas here. Looks like all new staff now. Today's was less than friendly. The gal who took our order was nice enough (short hair and glasses today 8/21) but the gal making drinks look annoyed when I asked for a short straw (container empty). She then pulls out the bags of stars and hands me one but didn't replenish. My son spilled milk. I started cleaning up with napkins and when this same girl came with a rag we apologized just to have her sigh and roll her eyes. Are you serious? Looks like the only way this stays in business is because of the location. I'm taking my business to the one on Old Grove now. read more

I have been coming to this Starbucks for eons. I even moved out of state and then returned only to continue coming to this location. I've seen it go through various changes in appearance and staff. It's definitely more modern and provides various seating arrangements to accommodate large populations of individuals working remotely or those who come in to study. One thing I don't particularly like is the seating area near the bar where you pick up your drinks. It used to be a bit cleaner with tables along the window and opposite wall instead of smack in the middle of the area where people tend to gather to wait for their orders. The store itself is clean and appealing. This store's employees are friendly and efficient for the most part. I'll have to spend more time here now that I'm back. read more

Starbucks math. A grande peppermint mocha comes with two shots each. Ask for one shot in one cup and asked that the remaining shot be added to the other cup. Was told that they had to charge for the extra shot. Did I miss something? I didn't ask for an extra shot, I asked that one of the shots I ordered be added to a different cup. I asked if I was paying less for the drink with only one shot and she said no, but that I'd have to pay for an extra shot. Then she adds, I understand how it's confusing for you.... I'm sadly updating this to 3 stars, and it's a bit generous. Something happened at this store. It used to be bubbly and energetic. People remembered your order. People made it right. There were greetings to customers yelled back and forth. Lots of warmth. Then it seemed they hired a lot of new people, and it's so robotic now. No one is smiling. My drink is wrong a lot. That "above and beyond" attitude this store used to excel in is totally gone. It's an assembly line now. And for almost $5 a drink, it would be nice to have that old Starbucks atmosphere back again. read more

I like Starbucks, a lot and I go often. This review is based on a single experience. Once a week or so, while taking my 3 year old son to school I like to stop through Starbucks and get us both a "coffee" (iced caramel macchiatto for me, kid's hot cocoa or vanilla steamer for him) and we share a bacon sandwich. For those of you without children, there is a specific size and temperature setting for kids' drinks which is why you order a kid's drink and not a Tall. The temperature setting is 130 which is warm enough to be gross but usually cool enough to drink right away. I have a brain so I realize that there are going to be slight variations in that temperature and since my son is still a toddler, I ALWAYS test the drink before I hand it to him. Thank God! Monday we drove through, he got a vanilla steamer. Expecting his drink to be perhaps a little too warm for him but perfectly drinkable for me, I took a sizable 'test' sip and burnt my mouth so badly the roof of my mouth later peeled and my tongue was blistered! It was HOT, adult hot - like you'd have to have no regard for your taste buds if you wanted to drink it immediately. One of those rare occasions I just couldn't let a mistake slide! Unfortunately it was very, very busy that morning, we had to get to school/ work, I did not see a manager when I went into the store to exchange the drink and complain so I didn't have the opportunity to say something to someone who might have cared immediately. I didn't appreciate, however, the baristas' muttered "I'll replace it." after I told her that the drink was really, really hot and I nearly gave it to a small child. At least take a pause in squeezing chocolate sauce into a cup and acknowledge me and really say sorry. Mistakes happen, I get it, but some things are not ok! Yes, it was busy but as soon as that tiny cup hits your hand you'd think you would take a moment to pay extra attention to what you're doing knowing the drink would likely be going to a child. If I had taken our prior visits as proof that the temperature would be okay, I could have very easily handed the drink directly to my son who would have surely been burnt very badly because of it. A word of caution to those who order drinks for their children. read more

The original Oceanside Starbucks. Not only is it in the prime location on Oceanside/College Blvd, but it's elevated from the street with plenty of parking, but it's really large, even for a starbucks. It used to be a bank and was vacant long before Wells moved in next door and used the drive thru. Like most starbbucks they are constantly changing and are super corporate now. Many locations share managers and while are pretty efficient and understaffed. It's the nature of the business, profitability. More so than any other location I think I've ever been to more people come here to study. Why would anyone come here to study, it's not quiet, your amped on caffeine and honestly there are a lot of weirdos who hang out here. They've moved from largish couches to a super long 15 foot wood table that looks cool. I like to bring a book, my pipe and sit outside on a nice day and relax. For originality, location I give it 5 stars because no matter how cool other starbucks are this 1 takes the cake. read more

The barista that serviced us through the drive through did not have any idea what a tea latte is. She legitimately thought it was brewed tea poured over foam. I regret to inform her that it is tea brewed in steamed milk. A tea latte is a delicious creation handed down by God. A London Fog (an earl grey tea latte) is the most beautiful thing ever.What we received was pig swill that was at first too hot to taste anything, and once it had cooled down was so dark, shadows were jealous, and so flavorless that Lipton wonders how you got such a disgusting, over steeped drink.
