The abundance of different, interesting pastries is what makes this place stand out in this little community. I remember my first time coming here, I had no idea what to get, did not read up on anything about this place, just was waiting for a co-worker who wanted to meet up for coffee at the place next door, and I decided let's go to this place instead, and wanted a little snack, and had their apple & cheese muffin (yes.. this odd combo) and it was history.... now everytime I go here I seldom leave with this item with my coffee. If you are wanting other things this place does have it, from cookies to croissants to a wide arrangement of baked goods, this place will make your taste buds happy. Also if you want to know they serve Illy coffee. It maybe the smaller coffee shop in the area, but it is the better coffee shop in the area too, it is small and cozy and a good place to just sit down and chill. So if you are in Edgemont village make a stop here, and if you have been to the other Bjornbar in Burquitlam, this is the better one!

Everything in the case looked delectable, but we decided upon a large peanut butter-caramel cookie that was still warm from the oven -- and was it ever good. It was made even better with a light sprinkle from the salt shaker. We also shared a Black Forest bar with frosting that tasted a bit refrigeratory; the chocolate sponge cake layers were dry but the cherry filling was tart-sweet and delicious. The patio provided a relaxing space to sit, sip and snack as we watched the denizens of this lovely neighborhood stroll by.

Its a very small spot, worth the wait if there is one (holds about 25ppl max). The vibe is japanese/asian/french type of food in our opinion. Everything we ordered was great, stuffed meatballs, truffle omelet, grilled cheese sloppy Joe, bone marrow omelet and 2 drinks total of about $140 without tip. We drove 30 minutes to get here and was worth it. Not familiar with the area we parked in a garage near the building which was $5/hour (made for the restaurant above). So find street paid parking.

It…read moreseems they've since replaced the original version (with pistachio crème and ice cream) with a seasonal pistachio strawberry French toast ($21). I also got an Americano ($4.50), which tasted alright. Having a tangier fruit like strawberry provided a nice contrast to the sweetness of the French toast. However, I found the pistachio sauce to be quite weak and milky, so I'd suggest making it more pistachio-forward. This is especially noticeable since they use milk bread rather than a richer option like brioche, which left the overall dish lacking the flavour punch I was hoping for. That said, I found their food and drink options more unique compared to a standard brunch menu, so I'd be interested in returning with a bigger group to try more items. Their Thai chocolate and pistachio latte sound especially interesting!

Stepping into others' imprinted snow footsteps trying not to slip and fall onto the newly fallen snow, we made it into Cafe Crema in West Vancouver. The first thing with this place that gets you is the vibe. Mood lighting, lovely high tables and plenty of space. You can sit there, and daydreaming in this place is highly encouraged preferably with a glass of bold red and a slice of Margherita Pizza. I didn't really know what I wanted, which rarely happens, but this was one of those special occasions where you just let spontaneity take over. I was going to just have a coffee, but as I approached the register area to order my Americano, I kept seeing this glimmer in the corner of my eye. It was quite bright, but just a glimmer, so I looked over and it was just this muffin sitting there in the display. I asked the cashier what muffin that was, and I was told that it was the Vegan Banana Chocolate Muffin. "Vegan?" I asked. He said, "Yup." I almost walked away trying to find something else, but the damn thing looked so good. So, reluctantly I decided to try a Vegan Muffin. I said to myself, "well, what's the worst that could happen? I'll just throw it out if I don't like it." That winking-luring Vegan muffin was so good that it actually trumped many of the dairy based muffins I've had in the past. I'll tell you how and why. First, it was rich, creamy, dense, moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. You could taste the Cocoa and hint of Banana and nuts throughout. As much as all the ingredients together gave the muffin its wonderful taste, you could also taste each component individually. I don't have a sweet tooth at all, and it's rare to find me ordering desert or eating muffins. I ate this damn thing like I just discovered the taste of sweet for the first time. Between this awesome Vegan muffin, the great Americano and this cozy little lamp on the table and the beautiful glowing white snow on Bellevue Drive, this indeed was a memorable experience and a one time love affair with a Vegan Muffin. (No, I hadn't smoked anything that day.)

The coconut cream cake was fluffy, light and not too sweet. The apple pie croissant was so unique- apple pie filling inside a croissant with sugary crumble on top!
