I'm writing this review under this rainy day while waiting in line on an early Friday... This is the only Starbucks I go to from Mon-Friday before work. I still have to come here regardless if I'm late to work or not, lol. Call me Starbucks addict. The workers/baristas are super friendly WHILE serving those cranky coffee hoarders. Keep it up! My usual order: MILKTEA (Starbucks version). 1/2 black tea, 1/2 black coffee, 6 packets of Splenda w/ ice... Top it off with half and half milk... Without the bobas. Venti size. $2.65-2.95 (tell them charge you on tea price instead of coffee). Also great with hot panini turkey rustico... Sliced turkey, smoked Swiss cheese, kale, whole-grain Dijon and smokey-sweet onion jam on focaccia with whole grains. CRAP-BUCKS! Staff at this CRAP-BUCKS embarrassed me this morning, neglected me and talked back to me with rude comments given the fact that they were WRONG in this situation. I literally moved some where here on Stevenson like 2 months ago and I have been ordering Grande White Chocolate Mocha and Tomato Mozzarella Pannini literally every single morning, that means 7 days a week, regardless if I have work or not. I even remember my total, it's always $10.70 for these two items after tax. When I walked in this morning there was a long queue, I stood in the queue and waited until it was my turn. I was called to the register and I placed my regular order. Sometimes this CRAP-BUCKS ask for my name and sometimes they don't, this morning, they didn't and I was like ok, I was waiting on the side near the pick up area. Normally they give us our food item and then after couple of minutes or whatever they give coffee or whatever beverage you order, but today, after having wait 5-7 minutes I noticed everyone who ordered after me had already left and I was about to say something but then the barista called out for my white choco mocha, I grabbed it and caution this barista wasn't putting sleeves on the coffee cups at all, anyway, I am holding my hot coffee in hand and waiting for my pannini but everyone left and there was no one left in the queue then I went to the cash register asked them where's my panini at? She grabs it from the table next to her and I am sure it has been sitting there all this time and I asked her in the effect of I got my coffee 5-7 minutes after I placed my order that's ok but why I had to wait almost 10 minutes holding my THEN hot and NOW warm coffee in hand with no sleeve? She literally acted so casual and commented well, yaeh, I didn't know it was here. Then I told her that no told me my food was with the lady who was taking order and not at the pick up area, that was weird, they always bring food to the pick up area and she said I don't know and the way she said was so so rude. Then I asked the barista who was making coffee that can I get a sleeve and this happened he couldn't be less interested in what I had to say, he literally just ignored me moved away and focused on what he was doing. The barista who was standing next to him is the guy who usually takes my order and he is super nice(guy with beard). I told them well I will take this to yelp and I even clicked a photo on their face. I was heading to work and they spoiled my entire day, guys if you hate your job then just QUIT, why do something you hate and that girl and this skinny guy should keep their personal problems at home. I wasn't even asking for discount or anything, all I expected them to do was to offer to heat up my now warm coffee. I don't pay money to be insulted, I talk to you guys respectfully every time, regardless of what kind of day I am having and you should do the same. I am done with starbucks now, I will look for Peet's coffee around me. If I buy coffee from 7-11 even guys working there act better. In the photo attached along, the first guy with beard is actually really nice, he is the one I was talking about that was standing next to that skinny guy. The skinny guy standing next to the girl in the middle is the one who needs attitude adjustment. The small girl at the cash register, you can't see her face in the photo, only like half of her head, she hates her job and that's the only reason why she is rude to other people and especially to SO regular paying customers. This is a Starbucks, so not really much to talk about in regards to the food and drink. But, here are some of my favorites: - ICED COFFEE. I usually just get it black, because I don't like the extra sugar and calories by adding milk/cream and sweetener. - PENGUIN/ZEBRA JAVA CHIP FRAP - It's basically half regular mocha, half white mocha. I also get extra chips, because if I'm drinking something this rich, a few extra chips can't hurt (it can, but f#$% it!!) - COOL LIME OR STRAWBERRY ACAI REFRESHER - Refreshing, indeed! Perfect for those summer days. Doesn't have a ton of caffeine, though, if that's what you're looking for. - VANILLA BEAN SCONES - Pick up 3 of them. Or 6. - CHOCOLATE CHIP OR FROSTED SUGAR COOKIES - The chocolate chip cookies are good. I like mine chewy, so I don't bother warming it up. As for the sugar cookies, the best are the snowman cookies during Christmas. - ROASTED TOMATO AND MOZARELLA PANINI - When I want a lighter lunch than your standard burgers or pizza, I'll pick up an iced coffee with one of these. There are many other things that I like, such as the Spinach Feta Wrap, Marble Cake, and if it's still around, the awesome cookie butter bar! With that being said, the real positives about this store are the store itself and the amazing service. The store is a tad bigger that other Starbucks locations. They have more than enough seats, including a community table and a few cushioned chairs. The wifi speed is pretty good (I sometimes go on YouTube and have never had buffering issues). Both bathrooms are gender-neutral and for the most part are pretty clean. Now, for the service. It is pretty awesome! All the guys and gals that work there are super-friendly and always in good spirits. And I mean, always. I've been there a few times, so by no means am I a regular. But, I always feel like I am. Not only are they friendly, but they are lighting fast in making your drink and/or getting your food ready. Hands down, one of the best, if not the best Starbucks I've been to. Not a fan of this Starbucks. They only had 2 people working when I was there and there were a lot of people waiting in line. And they don't allow splitting of a large drink. Why? Said it's company's policy? Then how come At least 15 other Starbucks locations gladly allow it (yes, I go to a lot of coffee places). All of Peet's coffee stores allows it. I was hoping to like my drink. It was bad! Not done correctly, like the other Starbuck locations. Usually drink is medium brown color , but this one was super dark brown and tasted bitter. And I agree with the other reviewer. This store has very quiet, low energy employees. Usually, it's a fun atmosphere when you walk into a Starbucks with its outgoing and friendly employees. Omg the young blonde manager is out of control with her rude argumentative attitude! I've had to tell her I wasn't going to engage in her dispute that carried on loudly infront of many customers and my guest.. this isn't the 1st time she's went to a nasty extreme with me.. Probably the dirtiest starbucks I've been to from Teh outside. There's a trash that's overflowing. Looks like a prop from wall-e (the trash planet earth scene). Yuck. Insides are fine except for the occasional "camper" I.e. person who brings all their belongings in here and takes up an entire table or three seats. And smells. It's open a bit later so that helps. Smart, good staff. They're great. All starbucks taste the same so can't comment there. read more

Starbucks is usually a bit of a safe haven, but this location proved me wrong. I'm definitely not nit picky and understand that things get busy in the barista world. We ordered a fairly simple order - and the barista handed me my iced coffee in a cup that was dripping. I wasn't okay with that, so I asked for a clean lid, thinking maybe he would have the good sense to clean the bottom of the dirty cup. He handed a lid, and the drink was in the same condition. I finally asked for a bigger cup, and my husband just grabbed a cup and lid and poured my drink into the bigger cup. Though everything got handled, I just didn't appreciate the lack of service. The counter was also rather dirty, and granted it was around 1pm on a Saturday, the morning rush was gone. Overall this location needed some major improvement that day. read more

Good service, baristas here are nice. Placed my order online before coming in here. It was easy to locate, Google Map took us right to the location, however it was little hard to find in the complex since it is located behind a restaurant. It took me a while to get used to this location, mainly because of their service and cleanliness. I believe they changed their staff after remodeling the store a while back because the store had a different a look a few months ago. Anyway, as I started coming here on weekly basis, I realized the baristas were really good at making drinks. For example, they can carefully craft a drink such as Butter Beer - secret frappuccino and so many more like secret lattes, secret macchiatos, secret teas and drinks. My favorite is Butter Beer and cinnamon dulce latte. You can expect to see people of all ages. It gets crowded (and noisy) during the evening - - just be aware if you are here to attend a phone call or a Skype chat for business. Great place for meetings or a hangout of those afternoon lattes though. The staff keeps the place clean and don't mind swooping if you kindly request to do so. We can't exactly visit Hogsmeade, so here is the next best thing! Butter Beer recipe for those die hard fans (thank me later): - a grande - ask for a Creme Frappuccino base. Don't skimp on the fat by asking for skim or 2% milk as whole milk is required for the right consistency - add 3 pumps of caramel syrup - add 3 pumps of toffee nut syrup - top with caramel drizzle Adjust the recipe based on size or if you prefer a beverage that's lighter on the sweetness. Yes...staff here are very friendly and will serve you with a smile. Quick service too, that is, if there's no person in front of you who are trying to order for the whole office. Store is always clean and just very homey to me. That's why I can't help myself to stop here before I go to work. I normally go to the Starbucks on Civic Center Drive in Fremont because it's literally down the street from my place. But since that location is currently under construction, I've been going to this one. There's this cute little girl that works at this location. She's usually the one making all the coffee. This is the closest starbucks to my work so I come here all the time for my lunch break, lunch meetings, before work..... if you're reading this review you probably already know what my starbucks routine is because it's most likely similar to yours, lol. This is my favorite starbucks out of all the ones in the area, not just because of the location (i walk here from my office) but it's never crowded! As much as I love coming to the hottest spots where there's a million people to network with plus the occasional eye candy I can't stand when things stand in the way of me getting my food/drink when I'm hungry. So there. It's nice and clean and pretty empty! The staff here has good energy. Their smiles don't seem forced and you can tell they all have a good relationship with one another (or they fake it really well!). There's lots of room, a few couches and a lot of tables against the window. Way more "homey" than most starbucks. Since it's located right off the freeway in an industrial business area there aren't many students or pseudo coffee drinkers (you know who you are... you know damn well you don't drink coffee but since your outfits are rockin you thought you'd accessorize your hand with a fashionable iced coffee). The food selection here... ehhh. That's for all starbucks food minus the Andes Mint Brownie during Christmas. Occassionally I've come across a fruit and cheese tray which was really good for my 15 min. snack break. If you're around this area and need some quiet time to work on your computer or if you need a caffine fix and don't want to wait come here! read more

This Starbucks has improved the time it takes to get drinks ready in the morning. I went there this morning and I ordered a mocha before work. I planned for a reasonable amount of time for the Starbucks stop. I was happy that it took noticeably less time than it had before, and I was on time for work. The employees were helpful, focused on their work, and not chatting amongst themselves. My "GO-TO" Starbuck's based upon proximity. It is conveniently close to 880/Stevenson. The interior is clean and fairly big. The seating was upgraded awhile back and there is more soft seating for camping out. The crews have good energy but can be slooooooooooow. I'm a Grande Coffee guy, nothing fancy, but when I have not made coffee at home, and drop in here to see a line six deep I pass. It is right across the street from the Newark Hilton so it can get packed at times when the hotel is booked up. Parking is decent. No drive-through. FYI: If you want a breakfast sandwich with a little more sustenance than the Starbuck's offerings there is a Subway next door! They have solid breakfast sammiches... read more

I am very very particular about customer service, but only because I work in an area where customer service is really big! So on that note I would have to say that this Starbucks is probably the best one I've been to that has the best customer service! They are always greeting you as you come up to take your order and even the baristas working the bar make sure to say have a great day! Which I love because I am such a friendly person! I just recently started coming to starbucks because other locations are too busy and there is usally no place to sit. But this place is pretty open and ther is always a place to sit. The staff is very friendly and they also have outside seating which is useful to have on a nice day where you want to study outside. This Starbuck's is the first one that I've been to that had charging tables. You can sit there and charge your phone for FREE!! That got me excited since I walked in with 33% left on my phone. I came here with my son after our Walmart trip. I was thirsty and my son was hungry. Since we were just across the street, I told my son that we were going to drop by this place. When it was our turn to order, the barista asked us what kind of drink I would like? I told him grande caramel frap and grande cold brew with sweetener but with no dairy. Even though I was standing right in front of the cashier when I told the barista what drinks I wanted, I had to repeat my order to the cashier since he didn't catch a word I said. Our drinks came out in a few minutes and caramel sauce was leaked all over the cup so I proceeded to the condiment/napkin area to clean the cup and grab the straws. This is one of the good Starbucks locations. Plenty of room to spread out, really comfortable seats inside and a nice atmosphere, some outdoor seating, plenty of parking, and (generally) a really friendly, attitude-free staff. The coffee from store to store doesn't vary -- avoid the house blend and you're likely to get something tasty -- so you basically know what you're getting as far as that goes. Decent variety of pastries and sandwiches. Kind of unfortunate that one of the employees has to cover his tattoo with a sticker each day. But maybe it's a Peet's tat. Who knows. read more

I don't know what is going on with his Starbucks, but I feel like I have wasted a lot of money throwing away one bad cup of coffee after another. Dark roast drip has been terrible - bitter, inconsistent, too strong. I don't see familiar faces recently, it's like there was a huge turnover. The place is always out of something 90% of the time whether it be stirrers, half n half, raw sugar. One time they were out of ALL sugar! WTH it's really annoying and I hope things improve and they get it together soon. read more

With no independent coffee shops near by my house when I need a quick fix on my way to work in the morning, this is the Starbucks closest to home that I hit up. Never had to wait too long to get to the front of the line and always quick and friendly service with a smile. If I decide to stay awhile and use their free AT&T wi-fi (awesome!), I'll use my registered Starbucks card when buying my coffee so I can get free refills while I'm there. Quick tip: As of today, if you check-in @ Starbucks with Facebook Places, Starbucks will donate $1 to help protect forest land up to $50,000 dollars I believe. read more

Got here at 9 am. No breakfast sandwiches left. Ordered a Pike Place coffee and out of Pike. Had to wait for them to brew it. Completely unorganized operation and even with very long lines 1 person working at the registers with the occasional 2nd person taking an order. Not one of the best I've been to. read more

Everytime I order a latte, it's always flat. There's no foam even when I specify extra foam. Very frustrating. Being able to make a basic latte should be expected from Starbucks. read more
