It's a Starbucks. This particular location is decently sized and not cramped. It can get a bit crowded once kids are out of school for the day. There are plenty of tables and even a large communal table in the middle of the store. My favorite area of the store is the corner by the front entrance with 4 arm chairs. The chairs are incredibly comfortable, each with a small pillow, to sit and do work on my laptop. However, what drags down the store as a viable location to get work done is the slow as molasses internet/wifi connection. Opening a webpage can be an exercise in frustration, especially when the internet occasionally drops briefly. Overall, their coffee is mediocre at best (while also a bit expensive) and the service here is fine. It's not a bad place to work if you can get a spot on one of the comfy arm chairs and you don't mind slow internet. read more

Starbucks in Moraga. This is a fine one. No complaints, they have a decent number outlets, nice people, outdoor seating, plenty of parking and the music not too loud. As with most Starbucks be aware that when school lets out this place will be swamped. read more

I usually try to avoid Fraps when I come here cause they usually end up watery, but they always get my order right and they keep the place clean. There are plenty of tables, and I can always snag a seat when I need to study. read more

I have literally been to over a hundred different Starbucks all over the United States from California to New York City. And out of all the locations I have ever been to, this is by far my favorite one. Always good and prompt service and I know because I usually go to this location every day. If you go here on a great frequency, they will remember your drink and your name and unless there is someone new working but they all catch on quick. read more

The barista Angie is everything a manager wants in a good working employee. Such a positive attitude and the cutest smile. She personally hand made my venti mocha frappe and it was one of the best i have ever had. A great spacious area and the bathroom i used was spotless. Will definitely be returning. read more

I'm glad they're here in Moraga. That being said, I was disappointed tonight to see the store closed with chairs up a full 40 minutes early despite the later close time posted in their window and online. Earlier today, on my first visit of the day, they got my drink order wrong. I was miffed at first, but they corrected it almost instantly - quite a surprise. There's never enough seating inside, to the point that customers are sometimes unkind with one another trying to get tables. It happened to me again today. It's not as common when the weather's nice because of the additional outdoor seating, but on a cold winter day when I need something hot, I always hesitate before going here... BTW, the lime refresher is really horrible - blech! But I'm always happy to see their apple fritters. Hopefully, someday, they will expand their low/no carb menu options. read more

This is the worst Starbucks which is really too bad considering how much the people of Moraga are enjoying having a nice new place to hangout in their town. The people who work here are almost all rude, not only to their customers but to each other. The acoustics are weird in the building and it's somehow always loud. What a disappointment with the remodel! Though the coffee drinks are good, the place is often a mess with trash on the floor and overflowing trash cans when I come here in the evenings. The music is usually so loud that I cannot carry on a conversation. I don't know how people using their laptops while studying are able to concentrate. The employees I've encountered in the evening are a bit on the immature side and pay more attention to kidding around with each other and less on the orders. Rudest barista I've ever encountered. I ordered a soy vanilla latte and she made a plain latte. I said nicely that I ordered a vanilla and she went on and on to rudely tell me "she didn't write that on the cup so it's not my fault" Alrighty then. Not what the customer wants to hear. Wasn't my fault either but isn't that a moot point?! Just fix it. No biggie. How about, "Let me remake your drink for you, sorry about that." This new Starbucks in the Rheem shopping center is beautiful and a good place to get work done, and the service is fast in both the cafe and the drive-through. However, this particular location has barristas who feel it is important to yell the customer's name super loud as well as their order -- it is really disturbing when you're trying to work that someone keeps yelling names and orders. It's not really necessary -- people know where to go for their drinks and it works just fine at other startbucks that people wait for their drinks. You don't have to YELL! It's too much. I stopped into this Starbucks for a quick beverage while my kids were attending a birthday party. I go to Starbucks a lot, and normally the service is good and the facilities are clean. Not this place - I mean, the service is fine enough, but this place is filthy. The first thing I noticed walking in the door was that trash is overflowing from the trash can near the front door. Literally. Two people just walked out and a few cups just fell on the floor when they tried to add their empty cups. There are three people working here right now and it's not even busy - no one can take the trash out??? Next, there is trash and crumbs strewn about the floor. It's everywhere. Under the food displays by the front counter, near the napkin and milk station... Gross. While waiting for my drink to be made, I decided to hit the bathroom. No luck, the men's room is out of order. No big deal, it happens. Grabbed my drink, decided to relax a bit on the Cody leather chairs... Hmmm, maybe I'll clean the crumbs and food off myself. Oh and look, food all over the floor! Way to go! My drink is fine, and again,no complaints about the service (although no one here looks happy or too welcoming, but I don't mind that so much). But this place is a dump! A part of me wants to pretend I'm a district manager so I could force them to clean this mess up, but alas, I'm not. The manager of this place needs to get his/her staff under control. Im sure they are hiring literally ANYONE that is unemployed no matter if they don't have any type of experience in customer service, etc. I come here once or twice a week and they don't fail to mess my order up EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Today was literally the last straw. I ordered a SIMPLE banana nut bread warmed up and they gave me a pumpkin loaf. I told them they gave me the wrong kind of bread and they took 10 minutes to come up with the banana nut bread that was not warmed up. After telling them that I would like it warmed up I waited patiently for 5 more minutes and they ended up giving MY banana nut bread (which was their last one) to some lady that had just ordered it. They had no idea what to do at this point and didn't even offer me a refund. My friend ordered a Carmel frappiccihno and they forgot the caramel. My Dad ordered an iced coffee and they gave him some random foam filled cup with ice. Starbucks? More like star-sucks. the Starbucks at this particular location is really bad. All the employees move at a snails pace and somehow manage to give off the impression that they are overworked. Even though I had bad experiences there in the past, I went against my instinct because i had a gift-card. It was around 2:30 when I waited in a long line while a slow barista made drinks and the line of unmade drinks was creeping onto the cashiers counter. I just got a cup of their sub-par drip to save time. Rheem can get kind of busy in the afternoons- with St. Mary's kids, Parents, Senior Citizens, and High Schoolers. Maybe hire and train more/better staff. read more

I live in Clayon and normally go to that Starbucks but I have begun working in Moraga. I love this Starbucks! Theyre so nice and after going into the store 4 times they remembered my drink. Oh my. This Starbucks has a real problem with noise levels. The volume of the music is so loud that normal conversation is impossible. I met some people there yesterday, and after only a few minutes, we had to leave. This was after I had asked a barista if he could please turn the music down a little. He said that he would, but he never did. The tile flooring and glass walls are attractive but make for an acoustic nightmare.The place is really set up to be a study hall for local college students. Small, square tables designed for only one person and their laptop. No place to sit that would encourage conversation.Would not ever go back. read more

Just your average Starbucks, nothing much new here. Baristas are friendly and welcoming and the shop is accommodating with many seats and a conference table. One thing to note: I've been here several times and it's always been a little on the dirty side.
