I've been going here for the last five years, and I can confidently say that the biggest issue that this Starbucks has is the fact that Starbucks management does not employ more employees. I have friends who have worked at this Starbucks and they are severely understaffed. So you should expect a longer wait times. I've also seen based off of other reviews that people think that there are too many children/teenagers here. Please note that the local high school is a five minute walk away and they don't really have anything else to do and they will hang out there. I personally have always had my drinks made the exactly way I wanted it so I had an overall very enjoyable experience. read more

Grabbed an iced caramel macchiato with "coconut milk" early on a Sunday morning. As far as I could tell, it looks like everyone uses the Starbucks app - there were at least 15 drinks waiting to be picked up in-store. I wouldn't do drive-thru or walk-in order. They seem understaffed and unless you've got time to kill, you might not be happy with the time waiting for your drinks. The vibes inside are actually quite nice. Lots of folks doing work quietly and the facilities seem new. They have couches and other cushiony furniture, and it looked like people were comfortable. Overall, I wouldn't come back to hang out in the coffee shop, there are plenty of other small local businesses that I'd probably support instead. But when I need my caramel macchiato fix I'll definitely stick to the app when ordering here. read more

If you go here, do not go inside. I waited for half an hour, no exaggeration, for a single coffee that turns out wasn't even on the order list. Severely understaffed. They prioritize the drive through like any drive through Starbucks. They need more people and they need to train them better. I know there's an app and all that, but honestly if a coffee shop requires an app to avoid a 30 minute wait for a single, simple coffee (I got a redeye), they are just understaffed, plain and simple. The staff are nice, but it doesn't matter how polite you are if you are too slammed or poorly trained that you completely forgot an order in all the chaos. I waited as long ad I did because I saw how busy they are, as usual, but 30 minutes is unacceptable for a $5 coffee, this isn't a sit down restaurant. This Starbucks is overrun by children almost any weekday. I completely avoid this Starbucks all together. My mobile order drink has been stolen multiple times here... probably from one of the high school kids. After school gets out it's a playground. Getting work done here is basically impossible. I know they can't fully control this but my drinks WERE always poor quality and clearly very quickly made. Workers don't care when the drinks come out or the quality of them. read more

DO NOT come to this location if you have to be anywhere quickly. On a consistent basis you will wait 45+ minutes (emphasis on the plus). I just waited a full hour for one drink off the menu with no customizations. They need to hire more staff or figure out a better system for running this location. This Starbuck is very spacious yet it gets so busy that sometimes not enough seating space is available. If you get here early enough maybe you'll get lucky and get a space in a corner where you can plug/charge your phones or laptop......It's where the comfortable seats are located. Because this place gets crowded, ordering is easy but you won't get your food in timely matter. Get ready to wait a while. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're in a hurry. read more

I have a severe love hate relationship with this place but I am so tired of them messing stuff up I couldn't not write a review anymore. I go here at least once a week on the minimum, and I'm not kidding every time I order it takes upwards of 25 minutes on a good day to make my drink. Going later in the afternoon if your ordering ahead to beat the line out the door you have to order atleast an hour before you go. I can understand some backed up rush after school but even on a slow morning with 3 people in the store I heard one of the workers just casually say " Oh I'm 30 minutes behind oops ". Not kidding I have ordered an hour ahead before and once I got to Starbucks they had just made my drink and it was not even full. Not to mention they constantly run out of everything, I've never seen a store sold out of so much stuff at once. The staff is rude aswell, I've been given countless snappy comments just for asking if my drink was made. The ambiance is okay if your in there in the middle of the day, but after 3 it's usually filled with campo students and moms with their kids running around the store. Even though I lowkey hate this place I probably will come back because I don't have time to drive all the way to laffayette or rossmore where the good Starbucks are. read more

Ambience perspective it's better than other location as it's huge and feels much less crowded. In terms of food, my chai latte had usual standard taste but failed to follow special instructions of making it extra hot which was must for me on cold and rainy weather! Sorry for being little critical. There is enough car parking available. Store has neutral gender restrooms and overall clean. So overall good especially if you want to hang around inside with your favorite device sipping your drink! read more

I'm a regular at this Starbucks, and I sit in the lobby often and I don't interact with the staff much, but from what I've seen, they are all great! However, I would hate to have to work here knowing how GOD AWFUL some of the customers are. Coming from a Starbucks customer, Starbucks customers are the worst! They are so rude to the employees, and they're so impatient! I really have to applaud this Moraga crew because I don't know how they haven't throttled any customers yet lol. I don't get why mobile order customers don't understand the concept that they're 1 of probably 200 mobile orders that come into that store... Sure, this location could use some more employees to help with the 10,000 mobile orders and drive-through line, but the customers could exercise a little thing called compassion and kindness. It goes a long way! Back to my review, lol: As someone who's been a Starbucks customer for a long time, I wish they'd update their breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches more often. Horrible customer service. I placed a mobile order at 7:55 am, and arrived at the store around 8:04 am. Initially, my drink wasn't ready, so I asked one of the employees for an update. I waited a few minutes and I got no response. This scenario repeats a few times, and the next thing I knew it was 8:20 am! (I ordered one drink) I wasn't the only customer having an issue, as I overheard some people waiting over 40 minutes for their order. I understand staffing issues, however, this was ridiculous. The employees couldn't care less. I ended having to leave, so I could make it to work relatively on time, without my coffee. I had proof of my order, however, the staff did not care, as my "order hasn't come through yet". I waited over 25 minutes for a coffee I never ended up receiving. Never coming here again. This Starbucks in particular is soooo bad! It is always understaffed so the lines and wait time are incredibly long. The drinks are consistently made incorrectly. The customer service is nonexistent and the shop itself is not a good place to try to relax and have a cup of coffee. I come here at least 5 days a week and the staff they selected to work at this location have such a great vibe and the atmosphere is an example of that. The place is clean, open and the restrooms receive attention before ever needed. I'm all about supporting small local businesses, but this place wins my heart because of the exemplary service and quality drinks. Stopped in at this Starbucks on my way to a meeting at Hacienda de las Flores. I am rarely in Moraga and did not realize this Starbucks had moved. Nice fresh, open look. Not too busy on late Thursday morning. Very welcoming look. My simple order, an iced tea lemonade, was as expected. Something that is hard to mess up. On the not so positive side: While the environment looked welcoming, I did not good vibes from the baristas. Since it was my first time here, it took me a minute to figure out which register to go to. Totally ignored by a couple of the staff. Finally placed my order and it took a few minutes to get it. This is a beautiful location and the seating area is clean. Not all the staff wear a mask. Some places do make their staff wear one ( which I am impartial but I thought I should mention). The toilet is unisex and not clean with toilet paper on the floor and around the bowl. It also has a pee smell and o wore my NK95 mask which I was quite happy doing so for once. I wanted to order their cake pop but saw the container of cake pops mixed in a sweet through container ( quite unappetizing so I did not order it.) Otherwise, the decoration is nice and the drink taste good and not overly iced like some SB. The music was nice but it was over powered by the staff chatting amongst themselves. There were barely anyone in here and. It would have been nice if they kept their voice down. So I took off a star for the condition of the bathroom and the loud talking. read more

Today around 5 pm I stopped at this store to get an ice tea. I was flabbergasted by what I witnessed. A friend of an employee came in ( he is the guy with the long hair in the picture) said hello then went outside. As I waited for my order, the Starbucks employee (the tall skinny Asian man/child in with the baseball cap in the picture) took a grocery sized bag, filled it to the brim with sandwiches and other wrapped food, took it outside in front of all the customers, handed it to the other long haired guy in the picture , who stuffed it in his backpack, as Two ladies and watched dumbfounded. Then ran back inside as thought nothing; he had not just commented a theft. Then his cohort/friend walked back in, a drink was made for him which he had not paid for and they stood by the door talking casually as though nothing out of the ordinary had occurred. I was so disturbed and disgusted by this theft I took a selfie but focused on the perpetrators. What is happening with our society?? I did ask who the manager was I was told they are not here. I then asked the store number and made sure to snap this picture. I find it morally reprehensible, that this kind of behavior, complete disregard for rules, respect of someone else's property can take place and no one that worked there batted an eye. I even asked if the tall guy who committed the theft was the owner/ related to the owner or manager I was told no. Who ever owns this place please know what is happening. Also, the garbage containers were filled to the point of spilling out, no one was doing anything about it. I grew up in family business, and I could not take this level of wrongness. I didn't know how else to bring this to the attention of the owners of this place. I would fire the entire lot; I am sure this is not the first time this has happened nor is he the first person to do this, people who steal like this work together, they look the other way for each other. Usually when i come here the staffs not very friendly might i point out. Today i got in the drive through line and was waiting for about 20-25 minutes before I finally got to the window, first they try to hand me the wrong drink (i ordered a very berry hibiscus with light ice), then when they hand me my "correct" order, as I'm driving away I see it has lemonade in it which i didn't order and was not happy about AND on top of that, it did not have light ice. I would've gone in to get the drink fixed but the store was already filled with people AND had people waiting outside and there's no way i was going to get back in the drive through line. Mobile ordering timeframe is completely inaccurate. I've now twice had drinks not ready 20+ minutes AFTER the expected ready time (not the time of ordering). The staff couldn't care less. I'm sure they probably deal with a lot of rude people, but being extremely blasé about service to everyone isn't a great business model. If it's an issue with the system not giving accurate time frames, this is something corporate should work on rather than just expecting people to wait 40 minutes for a coffee and then having to call in to request a cancellation and refund since they won't do it in store and you can't on the app. read more

By far the worst Starbucks with the hours. Keep closing earlier and earlier because they are all young kids that don't want to be there in the first place. They keep putting up signs saying why they close the lobby early. There's always a reason. I'm a mail carrier and I go here a lot. I'll attach a picture of the sign for the reason they closed early this time. I came up to the door 30 minutes before closing so I can't mobile order let alone go through the drive thru because I'M IN A MAIL TRUCK! I'm over here working 12+ hrs a day and they can't even stay open long enough to finish their measly 8hr shift? This is an extremely horrible way to run a business.
